i was really pissed with hachi when i watched nana back in middle school. but, as i grew up, i met a lot of "hachi" and understood her better. it's really a tragedy how many naive country girls out there went to big cities to find their dreams or change their life just for shit to went wrong at every turn.
I'm glad that you understand her better now! I'm someone from a small town who moved to a big city - so I relate to Hachi a lot! I think she is a good person who just keeps making mistakes

50% of this show is literally you yelling at both Nanas through the screen to "Just fucking date each other", and the other 50% is screaming: "Just fucking talk to to each other" because 100% of their problems would have been solved by doing either one of those things.
