I love Fishing...All fishing!!! Recently i picked up Slow Pitch Jigging. I have been Slow Pitch Jigging since November 2023 and find it to be a wonderful technique to add to my arsenal. In general, I have been fishing since I was five years old and getting more serious about it as i have gotten older. I also fix a lot of things but have never posted anything of that sort...Perhaps in the future. For now though, i will continue to bring you the best fishing adventures that i can give you. I will also be posting tips and tricks that i have learned throughout the years. One other things I will be doing is reviewing the gear that i have as i do have some nice reels and rods...Perhaps it will assist people in a purchase decision. Thanks to all my subscribers and everyone that has been watching my videos. I will continue to post for everyone. Please Subscribe, Watch, and Like my content...ill keep em coming! Lets go catch some fish together!!!!

New subscriber and enjoying your videos. Question, what king of jigging rod do you use? Thank you
I chose the jigging master brand.
Nice fish, what kind of jigs were you using and how much did they weigh. I am going out of Dana Wharf on Sunday and Tuesday on a 3/4
@@Maxabby123 thanks!!! I was able to use 300 grams and I went up to 500 grams. Conditions allowed for a lighter presentation which i took advantage of. I also fished a 400 gram. As far as jig type... I used a couple different types but I'm kind of stuck on the knife style slow pitch jigs right now... Good luck out there!!! 🐟🎣💪
How many people on the boat ?
@@HHplayground i believe it was 28 or 30 anglers this time
@pressure7seven Thanks. Do you crank a full turn each time you raise the rod?
Sometimes... I do variations... Sometimes full, sometimes half, sometimes quarter turns... All depends how i want to work the jig.
@@pressure7seven Thanks! Just subscribed to your channel.
Awesome!!! Thank you
Good fishing. So, did you end up giving away some of your fish? You were definitely over your limit when you dumped out your bag, haha.
Thanks!!! Yes of course!!! The group was very happy as well as I gave them some nice size fish! 🎣🐟💪

great to share the rail w ya man! see ya again next season
Some nice fish. Word of advice. Be very careful using ur rod to fling fish over the rail, ive seen a couple people snap rods doing that, 1 wrong twist is all it takes.
@@surffishing1369 thanks and thanks.... Yeah i always get weary about the bounce, especially with my slow pitch rods.
Great video. 👍 I use to fish this lake in the 90's to early 2000's. It was as hot of a fishing spot as Corona and SARL, just minus the monster 15 lb plus trout and catfish. I really wonder how much better it would be if the previous management didn’t have the "no limit" policy and if they still allowed camping.
10 trout Not bad...
Freelance is my favorite local 3/4 day boat 👍

I fish this lake year-round, and it never ceases to amaze me. This place is a hidden gem, and I love Ernie to death.

What jig / skirt ya got. Saw Gangster Stick II 500g. What color is it though. Sardine?
Oh i have several I used on this trip. I do have a gangster stickII 500g as well which i used on this trip. There is this full glow in the dark jig i used too that i ordered from @Piposjigs. As for the skirts... I have been making them myself as well as some of the assist hooks.. I'll be doing a video on these soon 🎣🐟
I just got my 22 Saltiga 15hl. I was contemplating between these two models but decided not to go with with IC because I already had Saltiga BJ.. which one are you liking more than other?
@@fishingtacklechannel I really am enjoying the IC because of the line counter as i can see where i got last bite and go straight to that general area after working the column or if the captain calls out where the fish are... I haven't even fished the 22 yet...It's still in it's box 😄 I'm currently pole shopping right now for maybe a hybrid pole fast/slow and might move my Saltiga 35jh to the hybrid and put the 22 on my 300g max jigging master rod. Subscribed to your channel 🎣🐟
Very nice jigging! What rod did you pair up with that Saltiga IC? Is that a Saltiga rod? Looks like a hybrid slow pitch jigging rod
@@fishingtacklechannel thanks so much! It's a Jigging Master Wiki Gangster Tango rod. It's actually a dedicated slow pitch jigging rod but the heaviest model in this line. I have a 300g max and this one with the Saltiga IC is the 620g max.
Nice! The Sea Watch has been a lucky boat for me.
the little skirts on the jigs get bit!

What rod and reel set ups are you using? You were killing bro!
@@ivanresendez164 Jigging Master pole and Daiwa Saltigas... The LD35JH and IC300H-SJ
So what's the name of the rod?
@@jaimeruiz4313 i chose Jigging Master wiki gangster rods for my setups. I was initially tempted to get a temple reef and even almost pulled the trigger on a goofish rod. I did my practicing on Shimano trevalas type j before i bought a higher end pole. Each brand is different and i think you just really have to pull the trigger on one you like and practice with it. I found out to be like guitar shopping... Like they all make sound but each one is different depending on how you play it. Go get those fish 🐟🎣💪
Thanks for the video, I'll be doing some slow pitching this Wednesday. Was there any issues with scoping out with the 400 g?
@@jaimeruiz4313 not on Saturday...i was even able to drop down a 250g and stay vertical. But it's day to day.. it's best to be prepared with heavy just in case the current is crazy. I think i could have even gotten down there with a 150g Good luck!!!! 🎣🐟💪
@pressure7seven that's awesome conditions that day. I was on a half day few weeks ago and was getting a 400g jig scoped out!
Great video, big bobos. Your rod paired with ur line counting reel. The acid wrap on that. Which direction is it twisting?
@@surffishing1369 thanks!!! They twist to the left on that pole. 🎣🐟
what model rod and reel is that?
@@alexpham7178 that's my trusty Phenix Black Diamond 15-40lb paired with my, also trusty, Daiwa Saltiga LD15 2 speed 🎣🐟💪
@@pressure7seven how much line can you put on the saltiga?
@@alexpham7178 30lb 300 meters, 40lb 240 meters of braid. That's off the box. Of course it varies from line to line especially if you run 4 stand vs 8 stand braid and the measurements aren't exact off the box either but it's a close estimate.
Cool video and nice Yellow! Pro tip: if you’re gonna buy a two speed reel, you might as well use it, haha.
@mikeeslinger4879 the first yellow i actually did drop it into low for a few to gain some line as it was peeling it off and i couldn't gain anything. The second was mostly swimming to the boat and didn't feel the need. Thanks 🎣🐟
I have them and never use the button. And I've got fish up to 50lbs on 30lb. I'd only use it if the fish was being stubborn
@@williamhartsell6390 agreed... It's a rarity
@@williamhartsell6390 yup, it was only recently that I started purchasing two speed reels…I’ve pulled on a lot of big fish and hundred plus pound tuna on single speed 4/0s. Switching to two speed sometimes feels like cheating, but it makes life easy now that I’m getting older, haha.
How long have you been doing slow pitch?
@@jmfishing86 i want to say it's been almost a year now.
How deep are these waters?
@@ryannamoctv2084 typically up to 600ft... Deepest I've been so far was 680ft
Your thumbnail pic for the channel looks like something else 😂
Like 🪶 a feather
Dope vid bro. What lb test were you using on those rods? And were all your jigs 500g?
@@Jifnei thanks!!! I was going back and forth from a 500g and 250g. I could have possibly went lighter because the current was not strong at all. I'm running 20lbs on both poles but the silver Saltiga has a thinner diameter 4 stand braid and the blue gold Saltiga has a 0.23mm diameter 8 stand braid to keep the accuracy of the line counter. Each pole has a different jig Max though... 300g and 620g
@ Okay nice thank you for the info! 500g is solid for 300ft and deeper though right?
@@Jifnei i would do a 100g to 300g for 300ft of water depending on the current. You want to stay as vertical as possible so you can work the jig properly up and down the column. You will read and watch different things but in my experience so far I would say 1 gram per meter to 1 gram per foot of water. Depending on the current and ability to stay vertical. I will be doing a slow pitch tutorial soon based on what i have learned, how to work my jig, how i selected equipment, how i tie my assist hooks, etc etc very soon.

You went to get some line and came home with a reel…familiar story 😂
@@officialWWM sometimes there's a pole attached for some odd reason 🤷🏽♂️
@@pressure7seven weird how that happens 🤪
How deep are those waters?
They were taking us around 100 fathoms/600ft and then to some 50 fathom/300 ft areas. Around those depths. I'm excited to get out this October as i mentioned in one of my leader videos, offshore rock fishing 50 fathoms opens up again until the end of the year 🎣💪
@@pressure7seven that's great! Planning to go too soon...how about your metal jigs? How heavy are those that you are dropping?
@@ryannamoctv2084 it really depends as far as current and depth but a good rule of thumb is 1 gram per foot of water. So if you're fishing 300 ft then you should be ready with 300 gram jig. That's just a basic guideline though as the weight of your line and water current play a huge part in staying vertical. Pretty soon I'll be putting out my own slow pitch jigging video tutorial as I've learned a lot since i started over a year ago.
Thanks a lot bro. Tight lines always! Maybe we'll meet someday out there.
