Like everybody else of the time, he was unlucky that Elvis was around because they all end up looking like impersonators. Conversely, had it not been for Elvis, they would have had no flagship to lead them. He’s got a great catalogue though!

Saw this show at the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford last night. The singer said it was their first performance, which amazed me; they play like a band that has spent the last five years gigging. I was very impressed and if Britpop/'90s indie is your thing I'd strongly recommend seeing them. The bass player and guitarist are particularly good, but the whole band works well. I guess they've come together for this "show" but I reckon if they get enough exposure they could fill decent venues for a decade or two, just like the Bootleg Beatles or Bjorn Again.
Lovely comments and they are appreciated. FYI, it was the first Indie Explosion stage show, not the first time they played together. But you can see how brilliant they are and that was why they were picked for the show. Cheers and thanks again for the feedback! :)

HE IS A GREAT IDOL AMONG ALL TEENAGERS IN THIS TIME AND PAST. ALL IN ALL, I THINK BILLY IS A GREAT SINGER AND HIS BAND MEMBERS. UNFORTUNATELY HE HAS GONE FROM US. So often the rather biege Cliff Richard is referred to as the British Elvis.Mainly due to his greater success than Billy Fury.But in reality as far ad musicality goes that title should go to yhis guy.Fury is without doubt the best British rock n roller ever to grace a stage.He is so underrated its criminal.
When I was a kid, I always thought that Billy personified Presley (though Billy had his own unique stage movements) more so than Cliff. As John Lennon once remarked, ' "Elvis set the stage and we all followed". Billy sang some 'covers' but he also wrote and recorded his own songs. P.S. Cliff was also a pretty good mover. #"Move it".by Cliff, is an early brit-rock classic.
He was lucky those ladies didn’t rip him apart. I’m in my 70s now and I remember how brilliant he was.

Saw Billy a couple of times love performances in Blackpool.He was a brilliant performer,great voice,personality, and a handsome young man.Lovellu memories of him.How Marvalous I can still watch him now,thanks to to modern technology. Absolutely great.
