I too felt that the tone was disrespectful, but he did say at the end of the video that he was dying; It could account for the abrupt tone. The shots of the mountains and Amazigh life were very good though.

That place would be nearby 'Tafraoute'... It's in the mid south-west of Morocco, only not in the High-Atlas but in the Anti-Atlas. 160 KM south-east of Agadir. Known for its big boulders, and some are painted by the locals. More aride environment compared to High-Atlas... Also the canyon/gorge of Ait Mansour nearby is a great recommendation! P.s. The famous blue rocks are painted by an artist! "The painted rocks in Tafraoute are actually the work of a Belgian artist Jean Verame. In 1984 with the help of the Tafraoute fire department, he created the vast area of art as a tribute to his late wife. The project took three months and used an incredible 18 tonnes of paint."

pays 8 dollars to stay on a mattress on a rooftop and complains about being unimpressed. Also extremely bigoted towards women who are veiled. There's hundreds of lebanese restaurants you could have gone but chose to go to dunkin donuts and made condescending remarks of it being no different than the west, except with "funny clothes". Filming underage girls no older than 15 and making perverted comments...and thats all just in the first 5 minutes. Horrible perspective from a cheap, creepy, racist a...hole

I am from Damascus but form some personal family reasons I live since many years somewhere in Europe. The film is very nice and makes me home sick. However Chris, you are not entitled to put political comments. Your country as the small pet of the USA has destroyed Yugoslavia, Irak, Libya, Afghanistan and you are still going on destroying Syria and yet none of your war criminal leaders have ended in front of the Hage tribunal. What do you call it?? War for democracy??? Or the war for raw materials??? Still your countries define the rules for the rest of the world. But soon this will be over. In Syria where Muslims and Christians of al wakes live together in a certain equilibrium, it is necessary to keep a stiff and strick control over people who are masterminded by the CIA, MI6, Mossad and yes some will be sentenced to death. All the people there know the rules and when a person or a group of person decide to become politically active, the exactly know the risks they are taking. You recall what happened in France to Gillet Jaune movement? Killed people, lost limbs, lost eye or the anti Corona movements in the larger cities orders people even ladies getting beaten with a baton? Go and look on you youtube if not taken off. Next film without political comments please and some British sarcasm on Syrian women. Keep the later for the girls back home. Beside I like England as well up to a certain extend. As final reminder, all the troubles we have in the whole region since Laurence of Arabia who was a family friend is due to the British double if not multifold standard policy including the creation of the state of Israel. So please study your countries responsibility for the actual never ending turmoil. You just need to go through history books.
