    • @pietrozuco

      Technically you should be able to do it, because it's not the iPad that supports the camera output. The whole trick here is the capture device, which in this case I'm using an Elgato Cam Link 4K, which is compatible with the iPad and the Elgato app. Check on the capture device you are planning to use and if it's compatible with an iPad, you should be good to go

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends which lenses you have. Pentax developed several mount systems, M37, M42, K-Mount to name a few I remember and I think there are more. Once you know the mount system used by the lens, then check if there's an adapter for them and the camera you have. In my case my vintage lens was a M42, but yours might be different.

      @@pietrozuco No matter, they all have fungus. I shut my studio down in 2004 to take a job on a research vessel for 15 years. The system was in its case but stored improperly. I am retired now and only recently got curious on how the lenses could be used. 20 plus years of neglect ruined them. 55, 105,165 and 300. Trashed.

    Hello, I have a FUJI STX-2 model camera with an X-FUJINON mount and some PK (Pentax) manual lenses, what mount should I buy to adapt the Pentax lens to my old Fuji

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco วันที่ผ่านมา

      To adapt your Pentax K-mount (PK) lenses to the Fuji STX-2 with its X-FUJINON mount (also known as the Fuji X bayonet mount), you will need an adapter specifically designed to convert Pentax K-mount lenses to the Fuji X-FUJINON mount. Look for an adapter labeled something like "Pentax K (PK) to Fuji X-FUJINON adapter" or "PK to FX adapter." These adapters are passive, so there will be no electronic communication between the lens and the camera, meaning you will need to use manual focus and control aperture directly on the lens. Before purchasing, double-check the compatibility of the adapter with both your Fuji STX-2 and your Pentax lenses to ensure proper fit and functionality.

    Hello, Have you ever saw your lens falling down while you was walking with this ?

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco วันที่ผ่านมา

      I never had any issues with the Trilens. As long as the lenses have no defects and they are properly fixed, the Trilens has been very solid for me. I used it in concerts with many people around and other scenarios where I was moving a lot and never had an issue. You have to be careful though when you move close to some obstacles, as the whole set will be quite bulky increasing the chances of bumping it into a chair, door, people and so forth. One more risky scenario is when you change the lens, it might drop from your hand if done too fast.

    Thinking about my next WR target lens for a Fuji X- T1. Would this be a better lens for street than, say a 70 - 300? I’ve recently got into Fuji and own a 16 f1.4 and the 35 f2 (both WR).

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hard to say depending of what kind of street photography you plan to do. In my case, I feel very self aware getting close to strangers to snap a photo and most of the time they notice it :) This lens allows me to keep a certain distance, to observe more without feeling that I'm entering other's people personal space. It's a very specific lens, but I had very good results with it. I also used it for portraits, it's excellent for that and for concerts where I needed a bright tele lens. You can also use the camera app and control it from your phone to take pictures without being noticed. I'm making a video about that.

    Good video, and the reasoning is good. I shoot mainly portraiture with my X-T3 I have the 23mm F/1.4 (sigma), the 35mm F/1.4 and the 56mm F/1.4 (Sigma). I found that the 35mm is the least used lens by a long way now. I recently got the X100VI... now that has thrown everything and 1 of the reasons is the close focusing distance. You can not replace the compression you get from longer focal lengths (which you comparison shows) and in turn the more flattening look for portraits. I am going to struggle to justify keeping the Sigma 23mm F/1.4 although it is probably my favourite lens (I'll keep it, just can't justify keeping it) If I was starting again.... I honestly think i could work professionally with just the X100VI (although 1 SD card slot would leave me worried for mission critical stuff)... lack of tethering too. In out business we have two photographers (using Fuji) We sold the XC 35mm F/2 in favour of keeping the XF35mm F/1.4 when I was using the 23mm way more we didn't need the duplication for a focal length we were not going to be using two cameras with at the same time anymore.

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! As long as you love the 23mm f/1.4 that's justification enough :) The lack of a second slot for the X100VI was a bit disappointing when I read the specs the first time. It would make me nervous too if using professionally. In another video I reviewed the 23mm f/2 some people commented that it has some issues with sharpness at close range. I wonder if you experienced something similar with the 23mm f/1.4?

Though 28mm eq is rather too wide for me still it was more joy to use it comparing to 27mm. I think that the ideal AF street lens for FX is yet to be produced! If not Fuji I wish 7artisans or TTartisan will make it! Something like 25-27 mm f2 with relatively good AF and maybe water-proofed .. and not bigger than Fuji's 18mm f2 lens in size! While I think making these super thin lenses is awesome , the end results look like generic cell phone pics and is not using the camera to its full potential :/. If I had to choose between this setup vs a cell phone, I'd rather shoot with my phone, that's just me though.

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree, the quality is worse than one of the first cheap cell phones. I had fun with it though, as a toy lens and being that thin, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything serious, it's just a funny lens :)

    Do not buy this lens, it's terrible. Any smartphone camera in the last 10-15 years takes better photos. Go get a spare battery with the money. I got this lens last week and really tried loving it... it distorts really bad, low contrast, flares a lot, all shots are blurry even on infinity, heavy vignetting, colors are weird etc.

      Also just a tip, the algorithm prioritises watch time (because the longer a viewer spends on TH-cam, the more time TH-cam has to advertise to them), so possibly starting a series of longer form content (like your photo recap video where you showed off your shots) might help your channels growth aswell as keeping these short formed videos. Either way though, I still like your vids and it’s your channel so you don’t have to change your style if it’s not what you want to express in your videos 😁 keep at it bro

    • @pietrozuco

      Thanks for the support! What you are saying is totally right! I'm working on a video where I'm planning to share the strategy I'll planning to apply this year after watching hours of TH-cam advice and reading tons of articles. One of the topics is precisely starting with short videos, despite the need for a longer format to keep balance between time engaged and ads. Let's see if the strategy makes sense and work or if it's total nonsense haha! we will see :) Another video photo review video is coming soon!

    Nice video and comparison! I’ve had both of these but only the 7Artisans right now. Gave the Meike away. I really like them, even though they’re soft at 0.95. And they’re pretty! Right? The Meike especially. It’s the nicest looking lens I’ve ever had. Anyway, about focusing, can I suggest trying to zoom in and focus that way instead of using focus peaking? Personally I feel like the focus peaking gets in the way. Every time I rely on it, I never get focus exactly where I want. But which zooming in, I get focus precisely where I want.

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. Agree the Meike is a really nice looking lens! very elegant. About focusing, I agree, the focus peaking gets in the way, I find it annoying, but my eyesight is not that good, even with the diopter adjustment control, it helps but it's not perfect, so I have trouble to see 100% sharp through the viewfinder and if I use the screen I need to switch to my reading glasses. Old people's life hahaha. The focus peaking helps in that regard. After using it for a while, I got used to where it's actually focusing, I'm just afraid it might easily change on firmware updates or using other cameras

      No worries, thanks. I wish camera makers took diopter adjustment control a bit more seriously. It only adjusts myopia but it doesn't take into account astigmatism for example. Anyway I can't complain, my case is not that bad. The positive side is that with those lenses, learning zone focusing can help a lot, specially in street photography

    • @altairquten
      @altairquten 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, Fujis usually come with crop sensors already, so you're just doing the following calculation: 90mm APS-C * ~1.53 = 137.7mm Full Frame.

    • @pietrozuco
      @pietrozuco 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's correct, the full frame equivalent, as per Fuji's website for the lens is 137mm. Take that into account if planning to use it on a full frame camera, from another manufacturer using a lens converter.

      Hey indeed, long time no see! I decided to move from Nikon to Fuji, I needed to update my Nikon equipment and took the risk to go all the way with Fujifilm and so far I don't regret it. I'm really happy with Fujifilm. I still love Nikon and the reliability, which is a system I would consider for other scenarios, but so far, for what I need, Fujifilm is working great and the latest X-H2S is a fantastic camera. I love those Takumar lenses, maybe there's a method to restore the yellowish in your lens, but anyway, that aging, I think it's part of the charm :)

    Nice. I especially liked the duct taped lens to head approach. I've been living in Japan since 1999. I use this same lens with my X-T1. Measured it with my radiacode 103 and the alarm went off. The rear element is coated with thorium. I find the results with this lens warm and pleasing compared to the cold and clinical results from Chinese lenses like TT and 7 artisans (not that they're bad at all).
