Hard Surface Modelling to meet the standards of the film industry.
Currently doing my first showreel 2021 and doing the entire workflow all my self. This includes Modelling with good topology all quads with good edge flow. Next is UV unwrapping and using UDIMS and making sure the entire asset has equal Texel Density to keep textures the same resolution. Next is texturing which for me is the hardest process. I am trying to achieve the best and most realistic type of textures and that tell a story which i think is the most important part of the process. and lastly render the complete model close up

Local Topology Methods For SubD Hard Surface Modelling In Any 3D Program!!
In this "short" video i will demonstrate how to use what i call "local topology" to help improve the topology of a mesh when using subdivision. I briefly explain why it is good to use it compared to a more beginner way of doing it. I then go on to show examples live and also examples of using it in my workflow.
ADDING TO VIDEO: When doing these methods make sure u have enough topology at the start so polys wont be stretched and also decrease pinching on a curved surface.

2021 ShowReel SU 152 TurnTable (OUTDATED)

The first project for my 2021 showreel is now fully completed. I have modeled, UVunwrapped, Textured and rendered this SU 152 tank destroyer.
