Take a moment to learn step by step how to remove the stock cooler from a Nvidia 3090 FE and attach the BP-VG3090FE waterblock from bitspower. Sorry about the quality of some of the footage of me, I will fix that nex time. Here is another great video to check out from Steve at Gamers Nexus th-cam.com/video/9JWqRjqqNko/w-d-xo.html BP-VG3090FE installation manual: bitspower.com/download_installat...

    You can find these blocks now for $60 at Microcenter! Picked one up the other day and going to install it on a 3080 FE. Sick block

    With no active backplate, total profit will be minimal :( but EKWB 2 sided is about 500€ and bykski N-RTX3090FE-TC 2 Sided can break card by wrong screw installation force, that’s why my 3090fe is still on stock cooling 😅

    I have a Gigabyte 3080 ti Gaming OC and the Bitspower is the only block that covers 4 small diodes that is cooled by the stock fan but the Bykski, Barrow and Alphacool all ignore. Thing is that the Bitspower is MAD expensive and nearly $300 shipped from Taiwan.

    For your multi GPU liquid cooled set up do you use 1 large pump or does each GPU get its own pump and own radiator? I was thinking about connecting the each GPU's water block with a few Y-connectors.

    What are your vram temps like? I have two 3090fe cards for rendering and whenever I use heavy raytracing, render or mine, the vram temps routinely hit 110c.

      I have the same card and block. My vram would stay around 96 to 100c while mining eth. I purchased some heatsinks on Amazon and attached them to the backplate and it lowered the Temps about 6 to 8 degrees C. This is in a pretty warm room. When it is cold at night the Vram would get down to 86c while mining. While gaming the vram Temps are well below 80c.

    Really helpful video, and the intro was worth the work off effort imho, GJ! My 3090 FE has serious VRAM temperature issues, bolts up to 110C when I open any miner. I need to mine when I'm not gaming to pay off the ridiculous cost of the card! I don't think I can swallow that EKWB price...maybe Bitspower is the way to go.

    so, how does someone get their hands on more than 1 of these cards? did you just shell out for all the scalper prices? or are you one of the bot users? either way cool block but making videos showing you have more than 1 card is an shit move.

  • @DevDocX
    @DevDocX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the video. Very helpful for both 3080 and 90 FEs like yours. Mine works great and keeps my memory much cooler 20-30C vs stock which was a concern of mine. The longest part as you eluded to was cutting all of the thermal pads. About 70% of the work even including getting into the loop. Hi Ho Hi Ho...

    • @DevDocX
      @DevDocX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@whywhyman I am running the 3080 and mem temps hover around 102 @ 10250(X2) memory speed in a ~70F room. This goes down to the lower 90s at normal stock memory speeds and even further during normal gaming sessions.

    This is probably the worst 3090 fe block available now that the alphacool, corsair, and ek blocks are out. The finstack is rotated 45 degrees and is too small to cover the whole die. From what I can tell from user testimonials it runs 3-4C hotter than other blocks.

    Hi, excellent video and presentation! I was curious to know if there is a single-slot IO bracket that can be used with this Bitspower block? I ask because it seems like the water cooler without a backplate would permit for multiple cards to work fine without the need for any spacing between slots on the motherboard.

    Are there thermal pads on the top of the card making contact with the backplate? I'm using my card to mine and it instantly throttles from memory temps (110C!) even when underclocked. Wondering if this would help mem temps

    • @hopesbiggestfan
      @hopesbiggestfan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see you have other 3090FEs and are also mining. Are you experiencing any thermal throttling from mem temps? I'm thinking I might just need to replace the thermal pads

      I just installed the block on mine and I’m hitting about 64c on memory and 40c max temp on core. I noticed the updated instructions on the bitspower site the other day. They changed which pad thickness to use compared to the earlier versions of the instructions
