    I did this install about a week ago and I appreciate you calling out the back plate to io shield difficulty.. I was able to get it in the ball park and then used a closed pair of scissors to keep tension on the nut while I tightened the screw down and it worked well.

    Thanks for the video. Very helpful for both 3080 and 90 FEs like yours. Mine works great and keeps my memory much cooler 20-30C vs stock which was a concern of mine. The longest part as you eluded to was cutting all of the thermal pads. About 70% of the work even including getting into the loop. Hi Ho Hi Ho...

    • @DevDocX
      @DevDocX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@whywhyman I am running the 3080 and mem temps hover around 102 @ 10250(X2) memory speed in a ~70F room. This goes down to the lower 90s at normal stock memory speeds and even further during normal gaming sessions.

    I have a Gigabyte 3080 ti Gaming OC and the Bitspower is the only block that covers 4 small diodes that is cooled by the stock fan but the Bykski, Barrow and Alphacool all ignore. Thing is that the Bitspower is MAD expensive and nearly $300 shipped from Taiwan.

    Really helpful video, and the intro was worth the work off effort imho, GJ! My 3090 FE has serious VRAM temperature issues, bolts up to 110C when I open any miner. I need to mine when I'm not gaming to pay off the ridiculous cost of the card! I don't think I can swallow that EKWB price...maybe Bitspower is the way to go.

      I have the same card and block. My vram would stay around 96 to 100c while mining eth. I purchased some heatsinks on Amazon and attached them to the backplate and it lowered the Temps about 6 to 8 degrees C. This is in a pretty warm room. When it is cold at night the Vram would get down to 86c while mining. While gaming the vram Temps are well below 80c.

    Nice video, this looks like a good block, 35c is a great temp. Only place I can buy it from is Bitspower's official shop and by the time currency conversion, plus shipping and tax kicks in, this could probably be closer to £200, at that point I'd rather splurge and get the EK 3090 block or save some money and go with the Corsair Hydro X 3090 FE block for £150
