How do it eject you

@@chickennuclear If you are riding in a minecart and it runs over a powered activator rail, then the cart will make you be standing to the side of the place where the rail is, if that space is available. It ejects you in this order: blocks to the right, to the left, in front of, and behind the minecart. I haven't tested what happens if all of those blocks are unavailable. As you can see in this video, just before the minecart went off the cliff, it automatically ejected me so I'm standing beside the track.

I'm glad you liked it. I expected to come to this comment and say that you're the only one who has watched this video, but looking at my analytics, it looks like about 3 people in the last 3 years have watched this video in its entirety. I don't typically expect that people would re-watch my livestreams, because to me the fun part of live streams is that they're, well, live. They're not polished videos. I'm glad to see that more people have spent time watching it than I spent recording and re-uploading it, so that's a satisfying feeling.

Which part is giving you difficulty? Or, perhaps a better question is, do you need to understand it? With the calculators out now, you can just use an external program to do it for you.

@@StrawberryGS well the part that is seriously difficult (for me especially) is just all the math stuff i cant do math for the life of me most of it i just don't/cant understand i didn't know there were any calculators? is there a calculator you would recommend? (one that hopefully isn't suspicious lol)

@@estellemus7180 Using the Ninjabrain Bot Calculator is much easier than doing it by hand. The video is linked in the description, but here it is again: th-cam.com/video/Rx8i7e5lu7g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FKMI9BXGEHnD7nMl That video is pretty old by now, but given that most speed runners use 1.16.1, the info on how to use it should still be current. All the big speed runners use that one, so hopefully it's safe. Use your own caution. I always run an anti-virus checker after downloading something before actually running it. If you do want to do it by hand, you don't have to actually understand the math, you just have to follow the steps: 1. Throw one eye, note the angle. 2. Turn 90 degrees to one side or the other, throw another eye, note the angle. 3. The difference between angles will tell you how far away the stronghold is. If the two angles are nearly the same, then it's thousands of blocks away. If they're off by one whole degree, it's 1000 blocks away. If they differ by 2 degrees, it's 450 blocks away. If they differ by 3 degrees, it's 300 blocks away. 4-> 230 5->180 If you are not trying to speed run it, you can just keep throwing eyes as you get closer. Travel in the direction the eye goes.

Yes, once you have an approximate distance away, you run that many blocks the direction of the second eye to get to the chunk that has the stronghold starter staircase. If you are a speed runner with extra ender pearls, you throw pearls to get you that close (I cut some of the throws from Dylann's run, but he estimates how many pearls he needs to go that distance and then throws that many to get there.) What this technique does is 1) prevents you from needing to throw extra eyes of ender to know how close you are once you've gone some of the distance to the target. 2) Prevents you from going too far and having to turn around and go back. 3) Reduces the total number of eye throws you need to make. Once you are close, you should probably still throw an eye to verify the starter staircase chunk.

I'm not sure I know what you mean? When you throw an eye, you don't get to choose the direction, you let it leave your hand, and the eye goes straight in the direction of the nearest stronghold. If you face down when you throw it, it's easiest to see which direction it is moving so you can most easily look at it in the sky and note the angle it decided to go in. When you throw the second eye from a slightly different place (16 blocks away is standard) it also goes straight toward the stronghold, but because you are in a different place, it's angle is slightly different. This whole technique helps you figure out not just the direction of the stronghold, but how far away it is, which helps you know when to dig down. Happy stronghold hunting!

​@@MiguelEstevez-x6y When you throw the eye, you face your body in the direction that the eye is. For example, look at 0:38 in the video. Dylann throws the eye and then turns his body to face the way the eye went. He opens the F3 menu and looks at the angle the eye went (-16.6, highlighted in red in the video at 0:42). This 16.3 angle faces directly toward the starter staircase of the stronghold. Then he turns his body 90 degrees from the angle the first eye went in. For beginners, you can hold F3 and G at the same time to pull up the chunk grid. Your sort of look at where in the grid the eye went -- for example 2 lines to the left of the corner. Advanced speedrunners like Dylann don't need the grid anymore, they can see it in their head. When Dylann turns 90 degrees, he's good enough to just know with a flick of a mouse how much is 90 degrees. It doesn't matter if you turn to the right 90 or to the left 90, both will give you the same result. Use whichever direction the terrain is easiest. For a beginner, you can look at the grid lines, and if the original eye was 2 lines to the left of the corner, then when you turn 90 degrees, now you use the next corner to the left, and again look 2 grid lines to the left of the "new" corner to get a good approximation of 90 degrees. You can look at the numbers to be exact. In Dylann's case, the exact number of "turn 90 degrees to the left" is -16.6 + -90 = -106.6. He could just as easily have decided to turn to the right: -16.6 + 90 = 73.4. He'd get a similar result. Once you have "turned 90 degrees to the left" then you take 4 sprint jumps. That's always a distance of 16 blocks if you do it right. Then you throw another eye. Then you look at the angle that second eye went in, in this example, -13.6 degrees. The difference between them is a number -- in this case -16.6 - (-13.6) = 3. Look that number up in a table (advanced speedrunners have the table memorized), and you'll see that means the stronghold is about 300 blocks away. Hope this helps, --Strawberry
