Did you catch what buffy did on her first day. Probably the bravest thing in the whole first season. She went up to Willow and basically asked her to be my friend. ("...can we hang out...") Who does that? First day of school? Don't know anyone. Reputation, friends, cool crowd, avoid geeks/nerds at all cost? What could be more scary!! Buffy slayed teenage culture.

I love the usuals. The ones I really love though, are not thr usual ones. I really love the hidden elements of the show, the things that secretly guide the actions in the show and nobofy really talks about. So, the pilot, Angel, Prophecy Girl, Lie to Me is big, Ted is a lunch oin episode, Amends, Superstar, plus more. Ted is surprisingly one of the most impactful episodes in the show. It defines a very key element of what a slayer is. Plus it really showcases a hidden power of Buffy's that she doesn't realize she has, even if Giles told her about it in the Pilot. One thing that really makes Buffy different from other slayers was that she learned in Angel, that the slayer isn't just a warrior or an executioner, she's a judge. In the scene where she presents her neck to Angel, she wasn't being a hopeful dope with a crush, she was being the slayer sitting in judgement over whether he deserved to die or live. Later, in Lie to Me, she kind of does the same, but she also learns a powerful rule of the Buffyverse. There are no good and bad people or beings. There are those who make the right choices and those who make the wrong choices. Heroes make the right choices, especially when they are impossible choices. This rule is the focus of the season 2 finale. As for Ted, it defined the boundaries of Buffy's authority as judge. Who can she judge and who is she compelled to kill, or execute, if found to be worthy of it? When she killed Ted, and it looked like she killed a human, she learned that her jurisdiction is only over the demon realm. So, she turned herself over to the human aithorities to face human judgement. She has no slayer authority or duty to kill or judge humans. This, as anyone can probably determine, has a big impact on the show. So, if Ford had never turned into a vampire, Buffy couldn't have done anything to him other than hand him over to the cops. There are more things, but it is more fun to find them. Suffice to say, the show is a lot more than what we initially see.

My favorites episodes are when she was bad , lie to me 1 & 2 , Ted , ice age , well the half of season 2 was my favorites, then when Buffster had to kill Angel did not like that at all 😢 ❤
