Thanks for shing your ups and downs! My best friend and I made a Alaska DIY hunt and never regretted it.
Thanks for sharing 🎉🎉🎉
Kevin sure did make some nice boats. Glad RP is back in production.
We don't need to lissont to you drink and slerp
@@johnlewis6928 sorry John but I don’t comprehend what the word lissont is. Also not sure how slerp is used in this context. If you could do some googling and let me know, that would be great, mkay?
Awesome video, I live in Missouri too and am planning a hunt for next fall
Awesome, whereabouts in Missouri? We’re hauling two jet boats up there in 2025, can’t wait. Where you headed?
@@jddowne Jefferson City, haven’t decided 100% just yet but I’m thinking Prince Of Wales to hunt Blacktail
Followed this over the weekend. Great video. A couple notes: I went right by the video and dremmeled out the floor vent holes using the pattern. The holes on my pattern were bigger that the 2.5 inch holes called for in the written instructions. I had to use material from the storage box I cut off screw it over the panel and drill new holes. Easy fix, but read the instructions and go with the right hole saw. If I did it again I would make my holes in the FW for the supply and return coolant just a bit farther to the left than pictured. It puts the hose very close to shock springs and there was room to go just a bit left and not kink the hose turning to the heater core. I just reached in with a sharp knife and cut a small gap out of the rear hose splice. The valve position shown at install is correct, but the valve itself is in the "off" position to get heat. In line is heat bypass 90 Degrees is "on" for the heater coil. My factory radiator hose connection leaked after install using the same factory clamp. It still had tension was installed exactly as it had been, but leaked. I highly recommend having a couple of hose clamps big enough for that connection on hand and replace those factory pressure clamps. That leaking caused a delay in getting air out of the coolant system, but it wasn't too bad. Great video and very happy with this product. Still too warm here to truly test, but it really kicks out heat I am very confident it will heat the cab even with my soft Seizmik doors.
you sound like that one alaska hunter guide, like if I had my eyes closed, I wouldn't be able to tell you two apart.
I live in Kenai Alaska All the time if you like to go hunting again in Alaska I'll just take you out hunting
Thanks Gary! We’re going to take my nephew in 2025 for his high school graduation. Would love to talk to you more about this offer! Email me at jddowne@yahoo.com please.
Awesome video! What an epic adventure.
You. Would need. To be dedicated. It’s. A. Big adventure. Best of. Luck.
Respect Guys I’m from Illinois good job
It would run way shallower with a 60/40.
I'm jealous, i think i'm going to have to commit to a jet build. I just got a 5hp prop on my square stern canoe, made it from fenton up to just inside Castlewood state park on the meramac before i banged up my prop on a shoal and couldn't pick the channel. And hey, 2:20, get your damn hands off the gunwale! 😂
BAD ASS
Who the heck went to the trouble of putting a deer mount on the river up there?! So random!
There’s a couple locals with a cabin up there that move taxidermy around on different root wads to keep people guessing. Lots of bullet holes in that thing!
This channel is destined for BIG success!! Kick ass videos!! Anybody wanna trade a hot rod jet boat for a mini??
Do you have a place diverter on those?
No.
I drew a Koyukuk moose tag three years ago and when my wife asked if I needed a new gun I told her I needed a new jet boat... Drove the boat to Alaska from Utah and boated 530 miles down the Yukon and up the Koyukuk to get my moose, then another 530 miles back up the river. Took my wife and son on this most memorable of all my hunts! This year I drew my second tag in Delta Junction and plan to do it without a boat (sold the boat after I used it for the first hunt). Can't wait to give it another go!
Wait a sec, you honestly boated over 1,000 miles on a river moose hunt? How long did that take and how did you logistically plan for that much fuel?
I did the same exact hunt!!! Only I came from Washington state!!! Two years ago.
@@jddowne We got on the river on the 16th and got off the river the 24th.
Where did you guys put in at? We put in by Manley hot springs...

Great video and great trip. I have a similar hunt in mind, but will likely rent/row rafts down river and hunt along the way (Float hunting Alaska is an amazing book, but you guys basically did everything he writes about already). I love that the two guys drove all the way up there in the old Chevy and hauled your own boat. Its amazing how wet and muddy it is. I got to spend the summer of 2015 up there leading a couple backcountry expeditions. Its amazing territory and I cant wait to get back.
You've embarked on the ultimate adventure with your DIY Alaska moose hunt! Your courage, determination, and love for the wild are truly inspiring. Wishing you success in your hunt and unforgettable moments in the vast Alaskan wilderness! And im am floating village life.
You guys make that Jet Jon yourself? The flat bottom, not the jet stream hulls
Yes it’s a cut down 17’ Landau with custom bottom and an 1100 Kawasaki motor
@@jddowne where y’all from? I’m from around Rolla MO. If there’s anyway I can, I’d love to get to take a look at it sometime so I can do mine. I run the Gasconade, Piney, Meramac, etc.
We’re from Pacific and that boat is shown in a few other videos also. Email me jddowne@yahoo.com

That was great trip.
Looks like a blast! You might’ve mentioned it in a different video and I can’t remember, what are you running for power in that boat? Is it’s jetstream hull?
Brother I call that trip a big win! You guys did something so many of us dream of, just spectacular!
Begitu indah jika saya memilikinya.. Pasti akan saya rawat dengan baik
interesting video , the real experience is the best lessons are learned in nature , you find out who you are , and see what our ancestors had to deal with year around , daily , its also the adventure , amd making great memories ,
Great video, I live in Missouri, north of Columbia, great point you make about priorities, I live in a small town , have a crap job but do lots of extra work on the side to pay for for the things like this, I went to AK for the first time on a diy moose hunt in 2017 and have been back up there hunting and fishing seven times and going back this fall!! I have a couple videos myself on TH-cam you can check out: Sb Wood and weld
Awesome trip and a lifetime of memories. The haters are just jealous and don't have the cahunas to make it happen.
Rock on brothers… I would have chipped in and rolled with u all !! Awesome work 👍👍
Awesome video! It’s always nice to safely enjoy time in the outdoors! I’m planning a diy moose hunt for my dad and I in 2026! Definitely looking forward to it!
That’s a fucking creek lol
What are thes biat hull would love to build one here in New Zealand.
Do you a Bulid of this ? Really want to make one and not sure where to find a good match motor and boat?
Thanks for doing this great video! We shared it on the Inferno Cab Heaters Facebook page today.
That’s awesome, thanks!
It's nice when your river is smooth pebbles.
My buddy Brandon has a riverpro. Aesome boat. He got me hooked on jet boating. I am building a 7' mini. He puts in a lot in St. Clair.
If u live right there, I'm sure u get tired of here are rock drill hammering away.. must have done that on weekend nobody in sight.
Putting in at st Clair tomorrow
What part of Missouri is this? I’m from Nebraska and the Platte and Elkhorn rivers are both very shallow! People around here run Airboats or mud motors but this would be very cool!
This is on the Meramec and Bourbeuse rivers near Pacific and Union, MO.
Turn music off. Like to hear the gravel scraping bottom of boat
I think I recently passed you on the Meramec just downstream from Moselle 😂. Or it was just a similar looking minijet
I went for a ride last Sunday, highly possible, went to the dam towards union and back, it was good running.
I don't think you truly understand the concept of shallow water boating. Your boats are too big and heavy. Minijetboats started out as a dingy with a jetski motor for propulsion. Try minijet boat build New Zealand .
Awesome video I love river boating hi from Alberta
Kayaker. On shalo9wer water. Tryibg nake deper
You all must be good at impeller maintenance, watching the mud and rocks being ejected out the pump is crazy. Cool vid.
Super cool! I like the v-front. Is there a casting deck in the back? May I ask where you bought it from?
Yes boat is called a Riverpro lopro and has a rear deck. They were built in Hillsboro, MO.
How come they don’t suck up rocks or sticks
They do occasionally and need to have the grate cleaned out
I just bought a Ranger and I love it but the first time I tipped it over in the mud I lost a wheel cap and they cost $40
Where can you get these boats?
Miracle Marine in Missouri makes the silver one. The white one is a Lowe hull that was shortened with a custom bottom fabbed.
The music no good
Con artist bullshit.
