How to change front wheel on Sur-Ron (26 inch MTB)

Bought this wheel from SurRonShop in Russia. Be sure to check with them will it fit on your bike (maybe it can't go on some forks, not sure). Its a strong MTB wheel and it's tested by others so I know it works. My old wheel was 19 inch, stock. Its very easy to change your wheel just take care of your screws so you don't lose them.

I mostly ride in the city and this is the best upgrade so far, it's really quiet! Couldn't find a good tutorial for belt transition so I made a video of the process. (Don't forget to tighten the balance screws at the end, you can see I forgot to tighten them on last frame.) I bought the belt kit on Luna Cycles shop in US. I would say its 1-2-3 hour work, depending on a skill level and luck :) b...

Thumb Throttle printed on Ender3 3d printer (2h print). (For Sur Ron e-bike) Here is the model STL print file (Speed Thumb 1): drive.google.com/file/d/1ff3jO1a5BfVjOjcSJZkan6k3ZZKu_HqT/view?usp=sharing All you need to do is cut the plastic pipe of your old throttle and attach this one with a screw and a nut. Make sure to measure before you cut!

My surron is used nearly all of the road in sandy dirt if not plain sand I got rid of the belt but used a 219 chain not a 420 to keep the noise at bay
Bro you have that axle way to far forward you want to have the axle as far back in the swing arm as you can

not sure. I didnt even drive with chain more than 1km distance
Not good in the desert this is good in the road only
Not for abusive riding!! Should be a massive disclaimer with this product! Any form of off road, hard riding, stunting or wheelies will render this useless

Hey nice video, Im just wondering if you have to maintain this more often and if it is weaker and can snap easily? and is it good for off roading?
No maintaining at all. And if you make it weaker then it can snap. learned this hard way lol
I have used belts before in different things including my surron primary drive and I always soak them with 303 Aircraft protectant and they seem to last forever!
What is the silver tool ur using at 0:38 to get the axle out the wheel cause mine is kinda hard to get out any tips?
Its just an adapter from socket set. You can use any tool which fits in the hole.
Why not make these belt drive stock?!
cause then it wont be good for offroading and most people get it for that reason

Hi, I didn't get the notification for this comment. So, look at 0:13 and you can see, the plastic of the throttle is cut off, and that's all you need to do, its quite simple. You just need to remove the grip.
I know this buy can't seem to answer any questions about tire size but can someone tell me if this 26" rim will take a 21" MC tire and if so what size. Thanks

When I removed my front wheel from Light bee X, I found the right front suspension extended a bit longer than the other one. I tried to pull out left suspension but seemed it’s not going out. I had to pushed down the handles when trying to put back the front wheel. Anyone has the same situation?

Why these are so noisy? No issues with motorcycles.. too small primary gear? Resonates to frame?
belt is not noisy, chain is noisy. Its metal on metal, thats why

I'm not familiar with anything connected to Talaria. maybe they have the same throttle, not sure

every belt drive has a cut frame so need to tell anyone since everyone knows in order to have a belt drive the frame is cut lol
This belt kit does not last . I had it for about a year and it chewed up the front pulley teeth. I was left stranded in the middle of the wilderness about the miles from a trail head. Thanks Luna!
To tell you the truth, same here. It started to be chewed up. -.-

@@v000000000000v I have no idea as I dont have a meter on my bike to measure the distance I have passed so far. But its way too soon (thats what I would say).
It seems like if the front pulley is chewing up the belt something is not in correct alignment
Can you hit jumps with this? Any worries about supporting the weight?

Lol I had the belt kit for my bike. After about when you're riding the front sprocket completely wore down.
I do have a problem with it also, my belt is not good I need to check my pullies to see are they ok

Its not THAT loud to begin with. Its already a silent Ebike with no running engine... Especially going slow, u are a ninja. I am using a non o ring chain and lubed it with chainsaw oil and its pretty friggin quiet.
Its a personal thing. I really prefer a silent ride. like there is nothing under me :)

Thumb throttle seems to take away the fun but can’t knock it till I try it
Its a personal preference, I use it to look more like an eBycicle ;) I would like to have stock setup sometime but this is kinda fun, I dont think about it and I have driven some crazy off-road roads.
@@silentsurron7272 of course it’s preference. It’s just uncommon for me to see on a sur ron that’s all but like I said I can’t downplay it till I try it. I do lots of city riding now as well plus I like wheelies but hey thumb throttle seems interesting.
@@JaeDee66 well, I do unconventional stuff if I feel like it :) now I have very narrow handlebars. 590mm :) great for city. you can pass trough anything, its big difference for me. I had 820mm handlebars
@@silentsurron7272 interesting does thumb throttle make it a smoother acceleration or it’s still kinda snappy?
@@JaeDee66 I dont find it snappy, I did kind of made it a bit higher so when I push on it I get full acceleration. You can rotate it as you wish when u setting it up on handlebars. I think its worth a try, for a month at least so you get use to it. but have in mind that you need to cut your old throttle handle. Maybe if you have kit on your surron then it can be snappy, have no idea :)
