good stuff !!!!
Good info… my question is when you leveling how do one know which level for example the kick should be? Or how high the snare should be at? And with panning I know the hats should be pan but is there a specific number one should pan it?
Dope video brother 👊 appreciate the knowledge
Question, let’s say I already have my drum kit set up, and I normalize my drums in the sample edit menu.. does the normalize change gets saved within the template or the drum program?
That's good Information
Thank you so much I really appreciate this, watching from jamaica
This video is packed with useful information. Thanks to you I've expedited my work flow, learned about features I never knew about, and got very organized. Hero!
Great video this might be a really dumb question but hey. When that beat is ready to be exported how do you make sure it sounds the same when exporting it to a daw?
Wow that really helped me thanks
That lead was 🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
Thank u
Thanks man, great demo!
Bro, that beat is clean and well-mixed. Probably the best demonstration I've seen for the MPC X. Earned a sub.
Thank you 🙏.
Thanks so much for the great tips - learnt a LOT from your contribution to the world wide webinar - greetings, salutations and love from the South of Africa.
Greetings and salutations to you too🙏.
Niceeeeee‼️🔥
Thank you 🙏
Good Video...with all due respect the MPC Signal flow for drum programs begin with [Sample layer] to [Pad] to [Program/Channel]
Ok thanks 🙏.
U can use quarter inch to quarter inch too
Yup 👍.
Ok I see you slane bouncing...lol
Trakslayer you explain so well thanks for sharing....
Thank you so much 😊!🙏
I have been following you for a min now and you "you dont miss" Keep up the good work dude
Thank you so much for the kind words.
This so dope Slane
Thank you 🙏.
It’s ok I had it for 2 years I autosampled most of the patches and made my own key groups and sold it lol
Nice …lol
Good stuff, thanks for sharing. I have the MPC X as well, I have it connected to my Kronos, but the wavestate is a better idea for the synth sounds.
Thank you 🙏. Yeah the sounds you can create in the wavestate are dope. But the Kronos is a beast as well.
What’s good tempo ranges for rn b
I like 65bpm-77bpm. But you can do double time 130bpm-144bpm. Those are MY preferred Tempos.
Im years saying that those 16 knobs always mapped with every window (with parameters on the led ) are the most underrated feature in the new mpcs
Yeah it is. But with the touch screen added on, sometimes I can’t decide which one to use…lol
@@SlaneTrakslayer3000 i had the first mpc live and then the mpc one and let me tell u that expecially when i have to modify sound parameters is absolutely an handicap having only 4 knobs
Nice
Thank you 🙏.
Heard good things about the wave state. I haven’t play with one yet. I fell into using the Key 61, Roland Integra 7, Kurzweil K2500RS, Yamaha Reface DX, Roland D-05, Roland S-1, Roland J-6, Korg Volca FM2, Live II, and One. I use a Kurzweil SP7 Grand on the side for piano proficiency or as a MIDI controller.
All of those are dope. It’s just a matter of preference. I normally hate sound designing, but wavestate makes it so accessible, I enjoy using it.
Great setup.I use the Akai Force,Roland FA06,Roland D2,Boss RC202,and Korg PS60.
Thank you 🙏. But I would rather have your setup…lol.
@@SlaneTrakslayer3000We have similar setups.Love your work flow.
What A Lovely Combo!!!!
And it is….👍
Hey Slane thanks for the video! After you put your drums through a submix and you are ready to export for mixing in your DAW, do the drums that went through the submix sound the same once they are all on their separate tracks as they did going through the submix? Thanks… Or if you were planning on mixing in DAW you probably shouldn’t worry about doing a submix? Thanks. Sorry if this question is confusing.
Yeah if you’re going to track your drums out to the DAW I wouldn’t worry about the submix. Because the submix route to the main out 1/2. When I use the submix it’s for when I bounce the mix down to Audio wav. For listening sessions. That’s why understanding signal flow is so important.
Your sends are not returns. Your sends send to the return which "sends" the signal back to the master. Or, in literal quickness, returns.
I was speaking about the visually. But, thank you for the clarification. I am not an audio engineer.
Dope video my man... I'll be using this. You taught me something.
Glad I could help 🙏. Thank you for watching.
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏.
Nice fam , Get at em .
Yup! I will…lol
So,... NOW I can do all of the mixing inside the Akai platform??? WOW
Its Not About Mixing . Its About Understanding The SIGNAL FLOW InSide The MPC.
@@SlaneTrakslayer3000respect for that reply. Nice work showing important nuance for the future mixers.
WOAHHHHH THAT WAS SMOOTH MANNN
Thank you! 🙏
oooowwweeee!! Now that's a cook'up brother!! My first time to the channel...definitely subscribing. I've only been in the MPC world for about a year, as far trying to be a producer. So, I'm always looking for solid video's like this one, with ideas/tips on building and using the MPC for it all. Thanks for the video!! The track had me wanting to pick up my pen...LOL
😂 Thank you For Subscribing and Your Words Of Encouragement!
Hey man you did great
Thank you 🙏.
Just Subscribed Bro! Love the tru creation process. I create more in controller mode within the MPC software.. Good stuff 💯
Thank You. Yeah, Controller Mode Definitely Has The Upper Hand When It Comes To Full Production. Standalone Is Great For Putting Ideas Down And Opening Them Later In Controller Mode.
@SlaneTrakslayer3000 Exactly! Then I dump into STUDIO ONE for Mixing & Mastering... Going to check out your other videos later 💪🏿
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
GREAT WORK
Appreciate Your Words!
Bruh,.. Subscriber 4 life, my Dude... Nice, legit Nice... Def going to be following y'all for more jams and details on how to achieve it... Nice...
And I really appreciate it. Thank you 🙏.
where can i find that 90's base kit at????
It is a preset that comes with the MINI D, plugin from Akai. I’m not sure if the plugin is still on sale but it’s pretty dope.
Mannn!?!?!? Sounds Awesome and I learned some new effects to try... I would put that Air Filter Gate on select individual samples to use that effect on...my GO TO is Diff Delay and there's a few drop downs in that section.... Thanks for sharing and #Salute
ok. Thanks Im Gonna Try That Diff Delay. Reach One teach one!

Keep it up bro! That’s a dope track!
Thank you 🙏
Did you use an outboard gear to record the audio using a midi controller?
Yup 👍! Thanks for watching.
that was DOPE sir!! good episode. 💯🎶🎶🎶🎶🎹
Thank you 🙏! Appreciate that.
