This has been driving me mad for days. Solved instantly just watching your video. Didn't need to go over the sensor markers with a pen, I changed my printer settings on my printer to print best quality and use black, worked straight away. Thank you for restoring my sanity 😅

I am trying this on a cricut Make, but didnt work for me. The machines is only accepting the calibration sheet, I cannot submit print to cut without doing the calibration process. Any ideas.?

I just had this issue and I know this is a 7 year old video, but perhaps it can help someone else. Also I acknowledge that the software has certainly changed since this first video. I did the sharpie thing and it worked! I also needed to increase the quality. There is an option, at least now, to "use system dialogue" when printing. Maybe it's always been there, maybe it wasn't available for Mac (I'm on Windows), but with the dialogue opened I was able to adjust the quality and the resulting print had dark enough lines that it didn't need the sharpie. Bottom line, the sharpie trick worked for me, so did changing the quality. I'm very appreciative of this video because it gave me a testable hypothesis and while I've wasted several hours already, this video saved me from wasting several more or giving up on my project. Thank you again, sir, I hope you are well.

This worked for me! I had to use a thicker Sharpie (fine point) but it worked. I was using Koala brand Inkjet Sticker Paper and an Explore 2. Thanks for the tip!

If you add matte finish scotch tape along the line the sensor seems to find it. Just worked for me.

Ugh didn’t work for me. My page has a full rectangle around the page and I tried going over it with the sharpie twice and it still wouldn’t work even with the lights in and off.

I use it for business and it was my first mistake as a new business owner, this machine is not reliable. the software is so bad.... and you need a subscription to it work on its full capacity. keep away new comers.

I didn't have black sharpie, I had blue I used it and also used that cricut pen cus the whole thing is to use a black pen right? So I also used cricut pen on top of the sharpie... all I can say is thank you 😊 🙏

HI I need help. I do the print and cut but it only print the image I want. It don't print the Sensor/Border Lines around the image for Cricut to cut. Can anyone help me solve this problem.

Expert undeniable.. watched a lot of do's and still couldn't get it right. The markings are perfectly black but sharpee makes it more darker. Thank you! You are the best!
