nah man i bought it and made a simic ramp deck out of this this is too many hoops for too lil reward imo... against what am i supposed to do this? vs 3 decks of crabs??

Too much hate for what is a fun goofy homebrew alt win deck that woulda cost double the price ordering the singles online. The only real issue is lack of Rhystic, Tithe, Esper, or Tutors. They knew they were being stingy not giving us at least one.

I was excited for this deck, & mybwife agreed to buy it for me for Christmas. I love the idea of all the win cons in 1 deck. I've got about $400 worth of add ins to modify this deck. I'm adding tutors, & cards to double counters/tokens, & a bunch more to really synergize this deck. It may no longer be a 20 ways to win, but it'll be more than 10 for sure.

I wish you both shared your improved lists! I loved red shirts concepts around skeletons for two or 3 decks. . Future answer: I bought it. And honoestly, just because the individual cards are worth more than the decklist with no special art, so it is a savings technically. But you guys hit the nail on the head for it not being consistent out of the box. Im breaking it down like your brother suggested for 3 decks.

Nice video! Solid ideas. Just a heads-up though, I think this is actually the 5th secret lair precon. There was the coin-flip deck, cats and dog deck, MDFC deck, and an angels deck.

I bought it and I watched dudes that magic's vid on this they went a different route, i really like how you guys leaned into the shrines that being said with all the 1/1 creation why remove the yahenni pariah combo? I for one love Yahenni and may keep him, but both obviously more experienced magic players cut him, why is that? i'm new to the game it's my first year. Is it to free up space for all the new cards? I dunno may have a sweet spot for him, i get this isn't an arisocratic deck but like he was saying u can always add pariah back w Go shintai but it isn't worth it mana trade off wise, but to me wouldnt be worth it if u had yahenni on board pariah in grave and need to buy time? idk extremely situational and as i've typed more about it i see why people cut the combo. literally could just include walking balista and some other unobjectively good card like esper sentinel or authority of consuls I suppose.

you couldve used the black or any color companion to do 5 colors

Just a nitpick: Except when the text of a card specifically gives a color to one or more lands, all lands are always colorless. Yes, I know that he meant "lands that don't generate colored mana", but that's not what he said.

Hey guys, I love your content but I'm shocked to hear that you have purchased only one precon in 24. How would you be able to judge? Three of the OTJ precons are great. My personal favourite is upgraded desert bloom. Sacking all the lands and getting them back from graveyard is so hilarious, that even my playgroup did not complain despite losing twice.

The zimone deck upgraded was awesome though.

Graveyard Overdrive was incredibly bad out of the box. When the stars allign perfectly it can go pretty hard, but it needs a bunch of upgrades to make the deck only slightly consistent. When you so, however, the deck is an absolute blast to play! Without upgraddes, this felt like playing a commander precon from a decade ago.

Nelly borca was my mvp this year. I love the politics it opens up and the general game of Chicken it presents. It makes any game more complex bc the opponent needs to consider "do i attack and potentially get repelled by the deck, or do I attack someone else and get a draw." My upgraded version is one that I play every time I meet with my pod.

I have a four colour deck without green in it with an artifact theme, so the landscapes are really useful there with less pressure to have the correct colours asap

And yeah, I found that this deck actually has a better foundation for spellslinger deck than it does for the way it's initially set up. All you would have to do is plug in a few blue spouse singer staples and there you go. And since it has green in the mana pole, you definitely benefit from all the ramp.
