Back to the future, Twin Pines Mall. Je rencontre un youtuber passionné des US.
Nous sommes le 30 juin 2024, et je me trouve à Puente Hills Mall, lieu de tournage de plusieurs scènes du film Retour vers le Futur réalisé en 1985. Ce centre commercial, autrefois animé, est désormais presque désert, une ombre de ce qu'il était dans les années 90. Sa fermeture semble imminente.
Je suis ici pour rencontrer un TH-camr français, passionné des États-Unis et en particulier de la Californie. Grand cinéphile, il adore Retour vers le Futur. Il m’a contacté après avoir commenté l’une de mes vidéos, et nous avons décidé de nous rencontrer à Los Angeles.
Côté technique, j’utilise pour la première fois l’application "Final Cut Pro", et je dois avouer que ce n’est pas facile. Je maîtrise mieux iMovie, mais il est temps de passer à la vitesse supérieure. C’est un peu comme passer d’une 2CV basique à une DS impériale, lol. Merci de votre indulgence.

I came here to meet a French TH-camr who’s a big fan of the U.S., especially California. He’s also a cinephile and loves Back to the Future. He reached out to me after commenting on one of my videos, and we decided to meet in L.A.
On the technical side, I’m using the "Final Cut Pro" app for the first time, and it’s a challenge. I’m more familiar with iMovie, but it’s time to step up my game. It feels like upgrading from a basic 2CV to an imperial DS, lol. Thanks for being patient with me.

I've watched this house slowly being built each time I drive up Fairfax Ave north of Sunset Blvd. but didn't know it was Bono's. I'm sure he will throw some epic parties there when its completed!
The house has been completed for a while now. But not much is happening. Bono does not live there. There is an armed guard 24/7. The guesthouse is taking forever to be completed. But it starts to look like a ‘mini me’ of the big one, especially regarding the rooftop. I walk there and send the drone regularly. A video will come, eventually. I did not feel any danger during the day. It was like a ghost town with nobody. They say at night is another story. When I visited Gary, Indiana a few days earlier, I almost zapped the city. But I wanted to see Michael Jackson’s home and then after that I drove down a few streets and stopped at some abandoned buildings and also the City Methodist church. I did not feel at ease in this city. Anyway thanks for your comment and thanks for watching the video.

I believe this house is still owned by the Mauers. One of the sons was my PCP doctor, years until he retired several years ago. Back then, he told me his brother was living in the house on Mt Washington. Dr. Mauer also told me Lautner picked out his offices interior colors for him too. It was not your usual bland and white office colors which is why I asked!

Thank you. It is indeed a "Futuro House". It's part of the Harpel House (Lautner's design as well) and it belongs to Mark Haddawi, known for restoring vintage architectural homes. I would love to visit one of those.They are privately own and kept away from the public. I had an address in Nagano, Japan of one almost abandoned in the forest but when I finally found the place 2 years ago it had been moved to Gunma, Japan to restore it.

Oui, maisons jolies et cheres. Celle qui est a droite coute $3.7 Million , celle a gauche $2.6 Million. Celle en face coute $4.7 Million. Les gens ont porte plainte a plusieur reprises. La ville a réagi quand une des tv locales de LA a fait un reportage. Le propriétaire accumulateur avait déjà été sommé de nettoyer son jardin en 2014 et 2016. Merci pour le commentaire.

We were in a band called Hot Fog from New Jersey band and used to live up there. We came out after high school with our van and equiptment and played places like the Topanga Canyon Corral. We took this elevator everyday and walked to the recording studio in Hollywood where we rehearsed. Lot's of good memories! We could hear the concerts from the Hollywood Bowl in the back of our apartment.

I went to Malibu last week and did a short video of the Mansion The Edge bought in April 2007. I will upload it this week. It's not about the new complex. As far as I know it did not get the approval, denied in 2019.
