75 Hard Progress Update - Week 10 of the Internet's Toughest Challenge (Meals, Workouts and More!)
The final full week of 75 Hard... and now there are only 5 days left of the challenge! It is bittersweet as I come to the end of the challenge. I am down about 25 pounds in a little over 2 months and have noticed major changes in my energy levels, attitude, and have started getting comments from others about my appearance.

    I know part of this challenge requires you weigh yourself but it’s far better to concentrate on how you look and feel. This is especially true when you consider weigh fluctuates during your cycle and if you’re gaining muscle it weighs more than fat. Personally I never weigh myself I feel it’s counter productive and can be detrimental to progress and motivation as most people feel bad about themselves if they see a gain but wouldn’t have noticed if they hadn’t stood on the scales. My motto is if my clothes fit and I feel good does it really matter what I weigh today compared to yesterday.

    Strength training will change your body much more than cardio. I’m amazed at how much I’ve leaned down and gotten stronger over a year. It takes time but it’s so satisfying and great for you

    You have such a lovely walking path by your workplace. I will say I admire your capacity to commute such a long distance each day. That cannot be easy……quick recommendation for your ongoing progress. I’ve been learning a lot about muscle building and metabolism for long term progress through the utube channel Mind Body Pump.     I am just so impressed with all you've accomplished! I realize it's old news, but it was new to me - learning about the option of doing Phase 1, 2, and 3 after 75 Hard. Maybe something to consider after you've given your body some rest. :)

    Beginning weight lifting usually leads to weight gain in the first couple weeks because the muscles are holding onto water. It’s normal. You’ve inspired me to get started and I’m on day 29. You’re doing amazing. Don’t forget to eat your proteins so you can see the results of lifting and to avoid that starving feeling after lifting. Thank you for another great video!

    Like everyone else said, don’t worry about the scale. Weight can fluctuate so you’re probably not really up at all. Pushing yourself harder could be causing some inflammation which could cause the scale to look like it’s up but just trust the process & make sure you continue to fuel your body 🥰 I’ve loved watching all these videos 😊 you’re doing great!

    You could do 75 day soft.. and you could bend the rules or add your own rules like only have one sweet treat a day, and it's homemade.. and if you messed up one day you dont have to start from day one just keep going 💞

    The more muscle you have the more calories your body burns just existing. Cardio is awesome but also too much weight loss can mean you lose some muscle and then you constantly need to cut more calories and eat less and less… no one wants to do that! So weights are your best friend! Lift and lift heavy. Then your body will be a calorie burning machine. You are doing awesome and have been a huge inspiration to me and to so many people. You’re killing it!

    Don't worry about that darn scale! It can really mess with our minds but it's probably just water retention. It happens especially to us ladies and is frustrating when you are working hard. You are killing it! If you feel good and your clothes feel good, that's what I would go off of! You got this :)!

    I’ve been watching this journey with you and I was curious if you’re gonna keep doing these most of these things after the 75 days? I’m excited to see what you end up doing. Be mindful of your cycle and hormones as weight “gain” I really doubt you gained 3-5 lbs of fat in a few days. You’re most likely holding water weight, ate too much sodium etc…

    Just mirroring some other comments in that weight really isn’t the most accurate measure - when you’re drinking so much water each day your body could easily be holding onto some to repair muscle from the workouts and from extra stress on your body. A litre of water weighs a kg - it doesn’t take much to shift the scale when it’s not really real xxx

    Jennifer, I have followed you ever since you successfully completed 38 days last time and it has been such a positive, inspiring journey. Thank you so much for sharing this with your viewers! One thing which helped me personally is to prioritise how I feel over what the scale shows. Letting success be dictated by weight (especially comparing week by week) does not capture progress well. This is why 75 Hard is not a weight loss but a mental toughness challenge. Not only are fluctuations in weight normal, it also varies depending on our fitness goals. Ever since I started focusing on getting stronger, I noticed how the scale might be showing more sometimes because I have grown muscle and yet, I feel better than I ever have before. Don't worry too much about the week by week and compare more long-term. You have done SO WELL, it is beautiful.

    Our weight will fluctuate daily . Maybe it’s just where you are in your cycle or maybe it’s water retention . It’s still important to eat ! Don’t cut too many calories 💛

    You’re doing so amazingly! I still haven’t managed to get going yet 😖 I haven’t found momentum and I keep letting things throw me off track. Also next Sunday I’m meeting a friend who is recovering from anorexia and I know she’ll find it super triggering if I don’t eat pastries/ treats etc when she does and I don’t want to make things harder for her but also I am trying to get over my own ED (mine is binge/ restrict chaos) and I can’t seem to put myself first ever.     This is really amazing, and great to see your challenge. I’ve binge watched your videos from week one to this week all in one day. This inspired me to do a type of mix of 75 medium but incorporated more things for mental and physical habits. And I’ll be starting on December first this year and going for 3 months (as a starter, and maybe to subconsciously stave off winter blues up here in Maine) I hear you though about leaving and not wanting to be 200 or above ever again. I’m 32 yrs old and I weigh 207 right now and I definitely feel it. So I’m getting the pieces on the board as they say during the next week and a half. I’m can’t wait to see the next… 2 weeks is it, left of your journey. I do have a question if you don’t mind, what do you plan to do once 75 heard is done?
