    The infrastructure issue was fully employed by Roger Douglas under David Lange. Successive governments continued to allow privatization. That is why we are in trouble now. Your video here does not start with that, but simply cites elements of the present (that are a result of that policy). The framing and tone of your video do not help, and indeed simply shoots down people in your line of fire. A way of thinking and acting, in NZ, that is easy to advantage. To be clear infrastructure is indeed a huge issue in our country. Allowing further involvement of offshore corporate involvement is diabolical. Outrage is useless unless action, for change, is implemented. Yes the financial structure, which was designed back in the late 1940's, in America by Milton Friedman. This economic history is well documented by Naomi Klein in her book 'The Shock Doctrine'. In this book she outlines a policy call 'Disaster Capitalism' a policy that drains an economy/population of surplus wealth passing it onto the wealthiest. All politicians are part of that program; polarizing people around 2 poles (essentially 2 parties) is part of that process. Disaster Capitalism was perfected in the lower earning countries in the world through American influence and actions, Friedman had an open door to their President over a number of terms. The perfection of the system is complete and now is being turned on the western world. When you made this video you may not understand that governments, their people, politicians are powerless to stop this and often undergo serious pressure in their terms of office ( I am not an apologist). Yanis Varoufakis is qualified to teach about process and pressure; he was Greek finance minister during a pivotal moment in taht country. He speaks well and sees clearly the problem and extreme difficulty of any solution. I agree with your assessment that the 2 most significant issues here in NZ, for the people, are indeed a healthy livelihood and world class infrastructure. Without either or bot we will be ground down by the previously mentioned global Neoliberal economic policy. I see no point in pointing the finger at anyone at the edge of this economic front. They do what they think they can and inevitably fail - all people in the situation are fighting a losing battle. Eventually everyone in the country will hit a wall (said understanding that many people already have); at that point (preferably sooner, but doubt will be done effectively) people will need to make some hard choices. I am not going to be alive much longer, therefore I doubt I will see this for myself, but the path for people cannot be found in the system we inhabit. That is a bitter pill to swallow, outrage is a simple recourse, but inevitably pointless without grass roots change. That involves heart and mind. And surviving with less. Change. Those elites... well airing empassioned opinion, no matter how accurate, will not reach them. Chin up mate: what you hold in your heart and place in your mind ... matters.

      Thank you for your comments. I agree with Naomi Klien’s Disaster Capitalism theory. When government’s issue currency to generate commerce correctly, they generate productivity and so infrastructure. However, if they do it badly, slowly corporations become so big that they end up run our country and that is what my video is about. Government’s can do something to prevent this, they could tax the corporations to diminish their power, and they could set up state enterprises such as the old Ministry of Works, that challenge the corporations. When they call for tenders, the government can regulate where the work goes. Because the government issue the currency (at will, not from taxes)) there are no constraints on price. For instance if a corporation can do it for less, but the MoW has capacity, they could still issue the tender to the MoW. I think there is room for both public and private enterprise. Unfortunately, the current education institutions are run by the corporates and so no one can even see the way out. For instance, they teach people that the government can’t spend unless it taxes people and businesses. That stunt’s growth in any country and it will allow globalists, like Helen Clarke and WSP to write policy that favours BlackRock, Vanguard, StreetSmart and the rest of them.

    The Moriori faced a tragic period of colonization and oppression, including a significant event known as the Moriori genocide in the 1830s, where invading Māori tribes killed and enslaved the Moriori population. This event drastically reduced the Moriori population and had a profound impact on their culture and society. It wasn't until the late 20th century that the Moriori began to experience a cultural renaissance, with efforts to reclaim their heritage and seek recognition and redress from the New Zealand government

    • @andyoakley7372
      @andyoakley7372 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely correct. What's interesting is, as you say, Moriori are not Maori, yet Moriori were allowed to make a successful claim to the Waitangi Tribunal. Yet when I made a claim to the Waitangi Tribunal, they ruled it out, saying that I could not prove I was a Maori. Actually, I gave them 22 definitions of how I was a Maori, and they ignored all of them. So I asked them for a definition and they couldn't provide me with one, I guess that proves there is no such thing as Maori and the whole treaty claims process is a rort.

    7:32 - 2024 and all this Māori Pākehā tension has made me dive into researching what the heck has gone on. I never heard of He Puapua before. Even at Marae, or conversations with my Māori Whānau. Before I continue watching this video, I will read this He Puapua report and make the following notes. 1. Authors: Left woke Females. Alot of Female feelings and dreams or visions written on paper. 2. It was only a draft in 2019-2020. 3. Most Māori never heard of it. It still needed to be presented to Maori and be discussed at Marae. 4. This seems to be the spark that has gas lit Pākehās backsides. 5. He Puapua talks about, self-determination alot. We're already doing that each day we wake up. 6. Restructure of governance systems: I think we already have a unique indigenous advantage in Aotearoa compared to any other indigenous group by having Māori electorate seats, a Māori Party, and even more Maori representatives in other party's, Labour, National, Greens, Act. Why does it need to be completely separate to the already established government? Really, the separate government they are talking about is already in place in the form of Iwi organisations that represent their hapū and individual Marae. Relationships have already been built between Iwi and their local councils. Some iwi are still in that process and need to do better to form those relationships. Some iwi can't even structure themselves properly with all the raruraru that goes on behind closed doors. 7. It talks about Te Pae Tawhiti (news to me), or a new social development benefit system. These handouts have crippled our people to being entitled to breadcrumbs. I don't even give street side beggers (except for the elderly or clearly disabled) or window washers anything because it enables their lazy behaviour. Education is really what will pull an individual out of poverty, but it's really up to us Maori to encourage that. We know our people won't listen to Pākehā, even if they are right or somewhat right in what they are saying. 8. Alot of this groups vision is already being done. Maori are already providing for Maori. We have our Māori businesses and organisations. We already have strong representation in the elected government that have already made policies that support Iwi. NZers (although not all) already support Māori culture or they either stay away from it. Many mainstream schools have a haka or Māori songs. I don't support compulsory Te Reo in schools. I would hate Europeans to force another language on me. Even if English was forced on me, it's a global language that we need to effectively communicate with majority of our domestic and overseas partners. NZ was in the wrong in the past though for trying to prohibit Te Reo being spoken. 9. Some of this stuff is actually dreamful. Control and protect our culture? I think it's the "can't use Māori unless we say" thing. I have questioned my fellow Maori with no real answer given, "should we then be given permission to make reggae music from the Jamaicans? Who do we ask if we want to Rap? What if you want to wear a cowboy hat?" we can't control that through legislation. But I guess you can raise your voice and frustration in protest if you feel like someone has used your culture wrongly, I don't oppose that right to you. But it can't be put into legislation. 10. Maori prosperity is on us to make happen. Many have already got there. Equity in opportunity, we already have it. Some harder than others. Equity in outcomes, won't happen. If you work harder/smarter than your colleagues and bring more value, you'll get compensated more, majority of the time. 11. Our Te Ao Māori, and Mātauranga Māori shouldn't be pushed onto non maori. We can make it available. But not pushed. We can bring it to the table, which we already do in some spaces. But not pushed on to people. 12. The 2019 sphere is severely underestimated. That rangatira sphere of influence is already probably 20-30% compared to the hopeful 2040 VISIONARY sphere of 50:50. When will the influence be enough? 100%? 13. Although due to misinterpreted treaty articles, I believe Māori didn't cede sovereignty, our ancestors ceded kāwanatanga or Govenorship to the queen and then agreed to the benefit of protection and full British citizenship. I think with this, we have gained the benefit and also the consequences of citizenship. We cant Cherry pick the benefits. You can't commit a crime and then pick a Māori judge to determine your punishment. 14. There's too much wishful utopian sentiment in this that it's taking too long to read. I'll read it later. But you Pākehā have been gas lit to believe all Māori want this. Your anger and anger of Māori at the hands of a few have created a division. I'll finish reading and watching this later.

      Thanks for your comments. Hopefully with the new coalition government He Puapua is put to bed. Unlike you, I do not see people as Maori and Pakeha, I see them as my friends and family. But I am older and was not bought up in an education system that promotes separatism. Unfortunately for us all, including the young, they have had their identities destroyed so much that they no longer see themselves as fellow humans and many do not know whether they are male or female. I think it is a tragedy.

    Andy and others :: The reasons why a turd in the bed fascinates people more than high-level philosophy are sad and unedifying. These reasons also give some idea in why a profound reorganisation of our societies is unlikely and why civilisation is now on a fast track to collapse, The Alien Cell is very interesting Andy, and I agree that he is an explorer, but he hasn't been to the moon yet, because he would have been zapped at the van Allen belt, and as well Cliff [ as we call him,] hadn't allowed us the computer technology to arrange that in 1970. John Kennedy saw that reality himself. There is a question I have about tax. From your talk > " Their [ taxes ] purpose is to remove excess money from the economy " and so reduce inflation. This would be so if the tax was kept in a vault, but it is not. It is immediately spent on goods and services that the Government wants .. wages, salaries, infrastructure, bribes, handouts etc., but that money is back in circulation pronto. So the way I see it, the money is not withdrawn from public spending just spent in places we don't necessarily approve of. To a certain extent the massive payments made to Corporations to bolster the totalitarian system could be a withdrawal of money it depends on how much they [ Corporations } get, and what they do with it. As usual Andy great thinking and good work. New Zealand is in free fall like nothing we could have foreseen. The last time I came back during the Covid tyranny of 2021, it was like travelling back through space and time to ignorance and socialism. New Zealand was the first and only country to ever refuse its own citizens to return to our homeland. I see no value at all in living in a collapsing State. The $NZ is even falling against the Tha baht, Thailand a country where the IQ is about 85 average. The 5 eyes countries are all failing because people watch TV, and can not conceive that all of us are susceptible to propaganda and cultural supervision. . The Judiciary in New Zealand is also a write-off. You can survive alcohol, drugs, sruoidity and insanity but if you watch TV you are lost.

      In my book, I address the conundrum of whether the US landed on the moon in 1969. It is really immaterial because the fact that they either did it or made it up still means that traveling out into space and exploring our universe is the most important thing to man. I remain open-minded as to whether they did or didn’t. To answer your tax question. You, and almost everyone else, fail to understand what is going on with money and economics. It’s hard not to misunderstand it all because we have been taught to see things through a certain lens. Money merely represents your score. You get points for carrying out work and your points go higher, the bank keeps your score. The rules made by the government are that when you get 100 points from whoever you do work for, before your points go up they get 33 (approx.) points in their bank account. There is no real money, it’s a spreadsheet, your digits go down and theirs go up. In a fiat currency, which we operate, it would make no difference at all to the government's ability to spend if they got none of your digits. It’s all just a story that everyone is going along with. However, if you had coins and coins were used as legal tender, then yes taking coins off you and giving them to the government would allow theme to spend more. But digits being typed in by someone and pixels on a screen changing… the belief that doing that changes real-world outcomes is plainly outrageous. In NZ they have legislated that the government must run a spreadsheet and limit their spending to the amount of tax they take off people and businesses, it’s clause 26G of the Public Finance Act, look it up. That Act makes everyone believe that the government's money comes from people and businesses. When in reality that Act is just as outrageous as the ToW Act that states some humans are different than other humans i.e., Maori are a different race. In 2017 Professor Bill Mitchell came to Vic Uni and gathered a bunch of economists to show them they were all fukwits, Jim Bolger was there, he explained just as I have explained to you how economics works, please watch it. After listening to this world-renowned economist telling them they didn't have a clue, they ignored him and carried on making our lives miserable. th-cam.com/video/MLKrBsTQntA/w-d-xo.html&t

      Here is the English draft of the Treaty, you will note that Maori are not mentioned at all, and in article three the people of New Zealand are granted equal rights. Her Majesty Victoria, Queen of England in her gracious consideration for the chiefs and people of New Zealand, and her desire to preserve them their land and to maintain peace and order amongst them, has been pleased to appoint an officer to treat with them for the cession of the Sovreignty [sic] of their country and of the islands adjacent to the Queen. Seeing that already many of Her Majesty’s subjects have already settled in the country and are constantly arriving: And that it is desirable for their protection as well as the protection of the natives to establish a government amongst them. Her Majesty has accordingly been pleased to appoint me William Hobson a captain in the Royal Navy to be Governor of such parts of New Zealand as may now or hereafter be ceded to Her Majesty and proposes to the chiefs of the Confederation of United Tribes of New Zealand and the other chiefs to agree to the following articles.- Article first The chiefs of the Confederation of the United Tribes and the other chiefs who have not joined the confederation, cede to the Queen of England for ever the entire Sovreignty [sic] of their country. Article second The Queen of England confirms and guarantees to the chiefs and the tribes and to all the people of New Zealand, the possession of their lands, dwellings and all their property. But the chiefs of the Confederation of United Tribes and the other chiefs grant to the Queen, the exclusive rights of purchasing such lands as the proprietors thereof may be disposed to sell at such prices as may be agreed upon between them and the person appointed by the Queen to purchase from them. Article third In return for the cession of their Sovreignty [sic] to the Queen, the people of New Zealand shall be protected by the Queen of England and the rights and privileges of British subjects will be granted to them. Signed, William Hobson Consul and Lieut. Governor. Now we the chiefs of the Confederation of United Tribes of New Zealand assembled at Waitangi, and we the other tribes of New Zealand, having understood the meaning of these articles, accept them and agree to them all. In witness whereof our names or marks are affixed. Done at Waitangi on the 4th of February, 1840.[1]

      @@kimtaeri13 There is no English "version" of the treaty and no English version of the treaty was ever read to any chief who subsequently signed the treaty. Hobson forbade such a thing as outside Waitangi almost no one would have understood a word of it. What I have given you is the English draft of the treaty that was completed on the 4th of Feb 1840, written by James Busby. Henry Williams and his son Edward translated that document over night into the Nga Puhi dialect which is what was read at Waitangi, and every other reading around the country. Nowhere in either of the English draft or the Nga Puhi translation are "Maori" mentioned, because the noun "Maori" did not even exist in 1840. In 1840 the people of New Zealand were made up of separate tribes, three percent of the population were European who lived there in the same way as anyone else lived there.

      If you were to try and clean up the past you would need to look at the past of all ethnicities and all of the people of the world. This is not a feasible agenda. Rather we should look at the past, learn, and arrange our future with human flourishing at the heart of our policies.

No am not religious and do not follow religion at all...we are made up of splrit soul and body...the Soul is US our mind will and emotions...yes there is more to it all a...love and prayers...❤ PS: I am not a religious nut...or a christian..

    • @andyoakley7372
      @andyoakley7372 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi kiwitraveller, the book is a result of an epiphany I had a couple of years ago now. While I spent most of my life as an atheist, after the epiphany I do believe there is a higher being or consciousness. I gather from listening to people such as yourself that my definition of God may differ from yours. However, when you say that you are a “believer in the Only True God from Genesis and all of the Bible”, you are only speaking for yourself. This is because you cannot know how everyone defines what God is in their thoughts. Sure, if you read the bible and then go to church, they will indoctrinate you to define God and Jesus in certain ways, but even then, each individual has their own thoughts regardless of what the religious teachers say. One of my main points is that because governments and our education systems have misunderstood how to use the economy, it has almost forced humans into valuing the wrong things, and in doing so they have become lost and have forgotten the importance of meaning and purpose. Rather than religious teachings, there are other ways to value a higher being. In my book, I try to use science to prove that there is a higher being, and that we can all improve our lives through our interconnectedness.

    Western civilization is simply the hollow rebranding of what is left of Christian Civilization. The family is the foundation of all societies and without a Christian family unit there are no longer the building blocks for a lasting civilization. No other religion takes all the natural actions of life and raises them to the supernatural level. No other religion turns marriage into a supernatural vocation. There's a reason why our fathers called on God to defend New Zealand in our National Anthem. It is because they knew that without God we can do nothing truly good because he is the source of all goodness. New Zealand began to fail when those who reject him took control of our institutions which was as long ago as World War II. The rot accelerated with the cultural revolution of the 1960s. We are at the tail end of a revolution against him and his kingdom on earth that began with the Protestant Revolt. Humans are spiritual creatures with an immortal soul. The punishments for rejecting him and his law are severe. The consequences are on the spiritual plane and you need only look around at the carnage. The treatments for psychological disorders might all be fake, but the spiritual disorder is everywhere.

  • @christopherradford1320
    @christopherradford1320 ปีที่แล้ว

    Marxism is worldview based upon the envy of the goodness of others. The world is not equal and it wouldn't be a good place if it was. It reduces everything to the material and ignores the supernatural to the detriment of all. This world is not a utopia and any attempt to establish one will lead to failure. This has been proven by the failure of 60 years of socialist policy. We live in great abundance of material goods but in absolute spiritual poverty with poorer health outcomes than our ancestors and entire generations failing. The morality of our country is all but gone amongst most persons. Material poverty is not an evil itself, but spiritual poverty certainly is and a society that has lost its morality is doomed to become extinct. Scientists have shown that we have all descended from a single woman. Every culture has a belief in Angels because the story of the fall of Adam and Eve is true. If we continue to ignore original sin and its consequences for the human soul then we will continue to fail. Only God can defend our country but he will not defend those who want to be independent of him.
