Yeah boi 💪 where's the 450 at? 👀
@@lewsdirtbikedays what 450 the kove ? She's still here having a bit of tlc ready for another season of racing coming 😁😁😁
Cool
Is it factory map?
Hello, I received my KOVE 2 months ago, I have driven 1500 km and I am going to do the third oil change (every 500 km). What brand and type of oil do you use ?
@@jean-patktm9243 I use rockoil 10w40 😁😁😁
Great...sound😢
My phone is shit 😂 I have a new camera so il try get some better ones very soon hopefully in an event 😁😁😁
Wow, if you didn't mention UK, I would've thought this was one of the hills here in California.
@sigmann66 wish I was riding in california 😁
@@Kove450rally Cal really is a dirt bike heaven.
@@sigmann66 I bet 😁 maybe one day il get the chance haha
Can I ask, how has it been on long hill climbs? I'm afraid of fragility of the engine on my ktm 500 (blew one up with only 6k of mild use and proper maintenance) and now am considering the Kove. But, I'm still attached to the 500 for it's low end grunt because basically any hill that I encounter, I can lug up it safely and slowly with a loaded bike (luggage), whereas on my crf300L, I have to use momentum, and that speed makes it problematic and kind of unsafe for me in sketchy, rocky, exposed climbs. The 500 on the other hand is like, "whatever, I'll take you wherever bud at a snails pace if you want"...
Cheers for the videos. Great to see someone putting one through some mud and tighter stuff. Are the consumable items (filters and what not) standard items or kove specific? If specific have they been easy to get? How is it holding up to harder riding? Is it about as tough as any other enduro or are bolts and such low quality? Cheers Paul
@paulmullany7147 consumables are easy to get some, stuff like sprockets are same as ktm filter is same as a ktm rally filter too. Oil filter is also same as others and easy to get. Any parts needed the uk importer sends within a few days too but in all fairness I haven't needed much. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the fixtures and fittings and bolts ect. This bike has been pushed to the limit for a good 70 hours and dealt with everything well. To be able to win the British Rally rounds overall I have needed to push the bike and it's done so well and handles brilliantly.
@@Kove450rally Cheers. Thats good to know. If its like you say, it seems a great value bike. 👍
@paulmullany7147 yes it is a great value bike in my opinion, there are some minor issues like gearing needed changing, sump guard is easy to damage and the the cent issue with the tank but that's a 2 min job to correct. Hopefully il get another update on here soon 😁 it's one of three bikes I ride but it's my favourite hahah
@@Kove450rally all bikes need a bit of adaptation or improvement but as along as its fundamentaly good I would be happy. I just went back down to one bike due to moving house and not having the space. Unfortunately it was my enduro bike that had to go and I kept my adv bike. I think either the Kove or the AJP pr7 could be a bike that would be something that would allow me to do both with one bike and so replace my current bike. I have tried the AJP and loved it but the Kove is quite a bit cheaper. Ill have to see if I can find a demo one . Cheers
@paulmullany7147 they are doing two test days one in north Wales and one south of England and you can also ride one north England too so there seems to be plenty you can test ride 😁👌 where you based ?
what do you think of the 51 tooth sprocket on the road?
@juladventure I fine it fine. I got 12 front and 51 back and still can cruise at 55 60mph and will top out at around 85 ish. 13 front and she's a little nicer on the road
I went on a group off road4 day trip in june in Greece .2 guys had koves, they handled excellent and you can track fast across the terrain without them losing the line. All the wind protection means a smooth ride as well. They are very good machines. And this guy knows how to ride one.😀
@nickg2431 yes totally agree with those comments pal. And thankyou ☺️
@@Kove450rally I was on a modified crf300l with proper suspension. With camel adv bikes i have no problem keeping up or beating them off road if rider is same level as me.With the Kove i could not keep up some of the time. They get very fast average speed across the terrain and corner well .The kove rally 450 will probably be my next bike.
Some boy, you lad 💪 bike sounds so sick! Hey, I can't find anyone to buy my World Raid 😭 Kove is on the back burner for the time being... I done a 'we buy any bike' quote the other day and they offered me £6k the cheeky fuckers 😂
@lewsdirtbikedays haha thanks pal, she's a good girl my kove haha. I have asked one of the boys he's in the market for one but he's unsure how much he wants to spend at the minute haha
Never miss an opportunity to crack a cheeky wheelie. Nice.
@TheIslandExpat 🤣🤣🤣got t be done ✔️
Awesome. Me and a few lads were supposed to doing the south Sarn Helen yesterday, but never worked out. We were doing a 2 day north to South offroad trip starting in Colwyn Bay, but we had issues on happy valley in Mach and that was the trip done. Bummer. Anyway, I'm actually considering dobbing in my T7 world raid for the Kove 😬 but I'm scared to pull the plug....
@lewsdirtbikedays I have a t7 world raid too. The kove makes light work of everything compared to the t7. I wouldn't have the t7 if I had already had the kove first. For British trail riding the kove s the bike in my opinion. And you can do so much more on it 😁
@@Kove450rally oh nice! Great minds think alike, hey 🤣 yeah, if you were to watch some of my stuff and see where we go and what we do on these big bikes, you'd get a good feel for why I'm so interested in the Kove... You know anyone in the market for a offroad ready T7 world raid? £8k? 🤣
@lewsdirtbikedays haha I have watched one or two. Yes they are a big bike for that the worst thing about them is the cost by beating it up because they so big haha. Kove is lighter easier and less expensive to fix 🤣 I shall ask about for you. We should get out one day 👍🏻
Nice update. It seems you are doing a lot of racing! What are your impressions of the bike on slower, technical stuff? I understand the chassis is agile enough but how flexible is the motor at lower revs?
@georgechrysaphinis6761 thanks, yes so I've done racing but I've also rode alot of single track and a timecard snotty rutty enduro too. I've done stream and river beds and it's coped very well for a bigger bike. The 12 front and 51 rear sprocket helps loads for that riding I will admit. 😁
Excellent. Thanks!
I cannot support the chinese communist government.
You can't say first one here because I am 😮😂
excellent update!! Only got about 100 miles on mine so far but opportunities to go out have been thin on the ground. Hoping for July August to be more accommodating in that respect. Cant wait to get out on it!
@nick1bb1 thanks mate, yes you got to make that time, kove or even another bike getting out is important haha 😄 I bet the 100 miles has made you already love it though mine did 😏
Yep, love it, it gets better and smoother the more miles I get on it 👍👍

Yes ride and a smal review of the bike i had only had approx an hour on the bike so couldn't say too much but was open and honest with what I thought.
Kove 800 X also appeared😂
I was considering Yamaha Tenere 700, Honda Africa twin 1100 and now I'm thinking about Kayo 4T and I saw this video about Kove 450?! And I don't know what to buy anymore? 😅
The kove 450 gives you the option of being able to do everything 😁 I have a t7 too and it's a great bike but you can't do as much on it as the kove 450 😁
@@Kove450rally thank you for your opinion 🫡
How is she holding? Any major issues, bits falling apart, etc... What about spares? Would the Kove make a bike which could do double duty - Mo-Fri as a commuter/general user bike, Sat/Sun/Hols/Event days as a trail bike, or is it just too much bike (and money) for the job?
It's holding up very well, I'm giving this bike a lot of stick the majority of the time trying to push it hard. The sump guard has been the one thing that needs protecting or replacing. With proper regular maintenance I don't see why it can't be. Many people have already done thousands of miles trouble free on them too. Spares are totally fine the uk importer has everything with fast delivery as well as a good dealer network forming.
How many km to you have on the bike and what’s been its main problems? Waiting for them here in Australia.
I have currently put around 700 miles on it but they have all been very hard miles either practicing or racing. The main issue I was having is damage to the sump guard so a 4mm ally plate has been put over the carbon. This is the downside of riding in the UK with ruts alot of the time. The gearing was another issue but again the uk is alot tighter and slower riding so this had to be changed significantly. Other stuff has just been general wear and tear. I would like to reiterate the bike handles so good 👌👌👌
На финише рассыпался
😂😂😂 I was tired after it I must admit 😂
It looks good to be Chinese.
It certainly is I'm very impressed with how it rides and the quality of the bike and fitments 👌

Хорошая гормония мотоциклиста с мотоциклом 👍

What handguards have you got mounted?
These are the kove 450 rally pro handguards 😄
Did you change sprockets front and rear ?
Yes it's running a 12 front and a 51 rear 👌😄
@@Kove450rally Will KTM sprocket match ?
@@istra70 ktm rear sprocket is a match 👌 👍
Thanks for posting, the bike really does go well, down to your good self! Look forward to more!
Thanks yes we will get more on here 👌👌👌
Thank you again for your video !!! Definitely my next bike for the end of the year. Wait and see.
I don't think you will regret it. Its a brilliant bike that can do most things for sure 😀
Hello, can you confirm to me that your motorcycle is still completely original ? Would it be possible to film your videos in landscape mode ? Thank you from France.
Hey, the only things changed on this bike are the gearing where I use a 12 front and 51 rear sprocket and the tyres everything else is standard with the addition of an alloy protection over the sump guard. Yes I can look at that for future for sure 👌👍
He looks like a big strong dude. He makes the bike look small!

Are you planning on pipe and ecu , i have a kove 450 second batch in the uk also in south wales
I haven't planned on the pipe and ecu yet no, I am having a mid section without cat made but that more due to the fact I've dented the original but I will update whatever I do change 👌😁
@@Kove450rally I have one fitted on mine and ECU
@fozzy1717 how you finding it ? I've heard good reports but im.also happy with the bike how it is too 😁
It's very loud , pops and bangs a lot more, slight performance increase , but noticeable, not sure if it would pass scrutineering I used mine for trail riding tet ect, I have a 790 with cone valves tower ect also but been using the kove more recently, done the 51 rear sprocket
You going to trying the timing key mod?
Speaking for myself, I have seen nearly every video put out about the Kove but they are like me!! older guys, competing days are long gone if they ever did. What I really want see is someone who can ride the thing like its meant to be ridden (like your last video of you testing). So your thoughts about the bike, racing, servicing and upgrades are all good but I have need for speed!! This is more than a dual sport, though, even when I purchase one I will only be doing, green lanes, ACT & TET on it just like all the other old duffers, so yeah, rag the arse off it...please. (in my head, I'll at be at the Dakar :)
😂 your wish is my command, I won't get told twice you will see many more videos of this bike revving to the moon 😂👌
And did you have any issues with her so far? How was purchase experience? Did you asked dealer about parts support etc
I am riding this bike for kove UK but the support woth parts is very good they have everything at the importer and constantly restocking as stuff goes out. There is also alot of aftermarket parts and cross over parts with different brands. I haven't had any major problems and the bike is running brilliantly at the moment 👌
I sat on one in china, I noticed my right foot heel sat on the exhaust! Does it drive you crazy? I like to ride on the balls of my toes and drop my heels down but I can't with my right foot, your thoughts?
I see what you mean👍 Ime sure the rally pro exhaust is different without the heat shield and cat so you have more room. I don't notice it at all but I do ride with a more central stance on the foot as I do drag and cover the rear brake nearly all of the time.
What sprocket will you change?
I have put a 12 on the front and a 51 on rear mate
So it does what every other 450 will do, just slower. And less reliably. 🤡 bike.
Less reliability ? What's that based on? Not every other 450 can ride 300 miles without fueling and be comfortable. 😊
@@Kove450rally In real world riding, where are you going where you would need 8 gallons of gas? It's impractical and to much extra weight to haul. A DR650 with a 6.6 gal tank will get you 300 miles ish, but even that is stupid. Are you racing in any events that require 300 mile fueling? Are you going to tell me the Kove is reliable....lol. Have fun finding parts, Kove is in turmoil with the founder leaving the company. There riders are signing with other brands also. The good news is, I will be able the get parts for my 450 for 30 years.
@jonwoodworker the engine has been in other big named brands for a good few years now and the manufacturer of the engine makes more engines than alot of the big named off road brands. The fuel range is good for touring or adventure riding😊 I will race this in all sorts of events this year and it can do pretty cool stuff. I have raced enduro for many years now on smaller bikes and this puts just as big of a smile on my face as any of the others I've owned 😊
@@Kove450rally What other big name brands have used the Kove engine made by Zongshen? There are a couple name brands that use CF Moto to build their stuff, but I'm not aware of any using Zongshen. Not knocking Zongshen, but their successful engines are copies of old Honda engines, mostly.
@jonwoodworker fantic use the same engine but woth sohc on there caballero I believe 😊 reliability doesn't seem to be one of the issues with this engine. Agreed it isn't as powerful as other 450s but power isn't everything depends on the level of rider and the terrain it's being ridden in for sure.
I love this video.
Can you say a bit about your riding background - other machines you've spent time on? What you think of the Kove relative to those?
Awesome Video. Which engine brand is inside?
The kove uses a zongshen 450 motor but the top end has been redesigned to become dohc instead of the original sohc. Brilliant engine 👏
@Kove450rally thanks for the reply. The bike design is very awesome. But the engine is a big question for me. So i will wait that some guys do a lot of mileage with this engine.😁 for more engine experience.
@Rudis_Garage yes fair enough 👌 check out all the other brands that use this engine it's tried and tested and very reliable.
@@Kove450rally thanks for the tip
Which sprockets fit front rear, is it kove specific or can you fit from other bikes, like generally available for EU JP bikes. I think gearing fix is bandaging real problem. It would be better to improve mapping torque, while still keeping stock gearing for transfer riding. Cant say for sure, it is from other experiences. I plan to test it somewhere march.
Rear sprocket is a ktm one. I don't need a high speed at the moment and it will still hit in excess of 80mph and cruise nice at 55mph 😊
Good to see some proper riding on the Kove! I'm about to put a deposit on this bike. How tall are you and how do you like the ergonomics and stock suspension? I'm 195cm and ~100kg in full riding gear. I have read that the bottom out support of the stock suspension could be better. I used Michelin Mediums and M14 mousses on my Beta RR with a 19l rally tank and they worked well. How do you find this setup on a bike that's considerably heavier than a standard enduro bike?
Hi pal, I am 6 foot 3 and 95kg without kit. This bike is totally standard suspension wise. Only change to this bike so far is the gearing 😆 the suspension could be improved with valving but is more than capable without touching 😄
Also the Michelin mediums with the m14 mousse is brilliant I will use new mousses on her and transfer to the enduro bike when worn and replace with new 👌
Looks quick.
She is 👌👌👌
Heck yeah 😊 Assuming the stars remain aligned, one day soon, a lucky Kove Rally will likewise shred miles with me.
Honestly blown away by this machine we are going to get alot more testing, racing and videos done on this 👌😁
Great to see someone actually riding that Kove like it should. 🤙🔥
Thanks pal 😂 it likes to be ridden like this 😊
Hopefully Kove throw you a bone & you can put the bike to the test over 12months 🤠, convince me to buy it 🤙. I would based on what I see, but 300hrs /10000km, in the hands of a trail hack is hectic for a dirt bike. Im keen to see how they go. I like the look of the CF moto 450MT about to hit the market in Australia here. Love ya work, keen to see some of ya riding & commentary on the Kove.
Thanks mate. Coming into the race season and the nicer weather now I hope to get alot of footage on here from it 🙏
Yes the bike is standard. Only change here is a 51 tooth rear sprocket up from the 49 standard and of course a set of Michelin mediums. It's very easy to ride and so enjoyable😊
Can't remember the last time I was so exited by a new bike, the Cove 450 is just speaking to my soul! You making that bike look pretty handy in tight stuff, great to see and thanks for posting. Is that on standard exhaust, cat and ecu?
All standard mate 😊
