INTERVIEW BEGINS AT 1:40 ON THE VIDEO Guests for this week's Who's Louisville webcast show, co-curated with Aaron Yarmuth and LEO Weekly, is Dr. Shiao Woo and John Shaw-Woo. Dr. Shiao Woo serves as professor and chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. John Shaw-Woo is founder of GMeals, a revolutionary food program to help people eat better. The population of Americans age 65 and older is projected to double to 72 million -nearly 20percent ofthe total U.S. population- by 2030. More "baby boomers" (those born between 1946 and 1964) are turning 65 every day. The aging of this large generation will bring important challenges to the systems and institutions that support and enhance the lives of older adults. Louisville is the world-leader in Lifelong Wellness & Aging Care. With over 18,000 professionals producing over $48 billion in revenue, Louisville is home to the nation’s largest collection of headquarters in nursing home, rehabilitation, assisted living and home health administration. How You Can Participate: Signature-Healthcare-Leading-Provider-of-Long-Term-Nursing-CareWe are wondering what Louisville's leaders in this field are thinking. So we have asked Signature Healthcare to be our expert in structuring the most productive questions. What are the Top 3 entrepreneur opportunities in Lifelong Wellness and Aging Care? As a creative chamber of commerce, IDEAS Louisville wanted to know what our city's industry leaders in this field are thinking. So we asked Signature Healthcare to be our expert in getting the conversation started. Here is what Signature said are the TOP 3 big “innovation” questions that the industry is asking itself. 1) How can we engage with the new payment models across the care spectrum to improve care for our residents outside of the facilities? We need to collaborate across the market segments to bear risk and measure the cost/quality/outcomes as the customer enters/exits various care settings on their path to recovery. 2) Health IT, legacy systems (EMRs) and emerging digital technologies in healthcare are not integrated and very fragmented. How can we as an industry move the needle in testing new technologies, easily integrate them into legacy systems and encourage entrepreneurs to develop new solutions that can solve our pain points? 3) As a Life Long Wellness And Aging Care partner in the market, how can we continue to foster talent in the industry, attract the best minds not only in our home office, but throughout our facilities (front line of care) across the United States? Signature HealthCARE has invested heavily in recruiting, learning and training. Is there a way for us to connect with other providers to partner with our educational institution's to fund more geriatric focused programs, behavioral health leaders and other critical care givers gaps in the long term care industry. We have posted this on Quora, Twitter and Facebook as part of our #WhoLou project. WE ENCOURAGE YOUR PARTICIPATION. The #WhoLou Project is an open-source opportunity dialogue with Louisville. We are asking our community to help us discover new ideas and new opportunities. Each week we explore a different part of the Louisville economy. This week is Lifelong Wellness and Aging Care. As a creative chamber of commerce, this is just one of the unique ways that IDEAS is helping Louisville grow. Questions will be posted each week immediately following the “Who’s Louisville” webcast. #WhoLou used by those who wish to follow or contribute.

Very difficult to understand the presentation due to media variances. An important topic such as this could have much more efficacy in a global media if it could be simply easy to hear and was presented for the web more wisely.
