@@warrentse5445 Because a LS is more powerful lighter and much more reliable and therefore a much better choice. And at some point it will get a 180 exhaust in it which will help it sound more like a real one.

@@PHARRAWAY Not yet I was almost on hold for a year for the race car shop to do some modifications to the cage and suspension work for me and a few other minor things so now I’m back on track now that I have it back .Im not in a big rush I wanna make sure I get everything taken care of. That’s not correct on it to make it look as accurate as possible. Besides, I have another one that I’m using while I’m doing this one.

It a fule rail inside the hat and was made to work from an old school mechanical, injected, bird catcher hat, so basically if it’s a homemade system that a guy built for me .

Awesome! 👍 I’m buying a big and ugly this week while in Nashville. My heart is set on the B&U 3, which is basically a birdcatcher size. 4.375” butterflies. I hate the mess and pain of the progressive linkage they sell. So I thought if it’s too twitchy I’d just block one off inside… Tired of the carbs, switching to holley efi… Thanks for the response! @@35CONTENDER

With all 3 at once, is it super twitchy? Like the light switch everyone says they are… Barely touch the throttle and it spins the tires..? All the salesmen want to sell the god awful ugly progressive linkage… I just got one block off plug to run on just the two punters. Hoping that will take it down… @@35CONTENDER

All my glass is curved in my car like the real ones except the back glass . Yes the window frames have a defined edge on them not sure if you can see them in the video. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you use 1974 to 80 mustang 11 upper and lower control arms?

This is a AFI ( American Fiberglass, Inc. ) yes the roof is correct ( rounded ) the car came from the factory to except the curved windscreen. Thanks for watching

All the parts are from the Porsche Boxster wiper motor assembly.

The motor is from a Porsche boxer the arm was from eBay.

I got them at a local shop, if you go to a good reputable shop they should be able to make you what you want. Price will be very different from state to state but I would expect them to be in the $300 dollars each give or take .

Actually the exhaust on it is temporarily I’m planning on doing a 180 exhaust which sounds more exotic . But not to down play what’s on it now the video doesn’t sound anything like it actually does 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m not sure why but it sounds really different in person.

Just not available as a crate engine yet. But agreed. That would sound the part for sure

If you look back at my other videos I do show it in there. Otherwise when I do the passenger door I can take more pictures but it’s going to be a bit working on other stuff now waiting on materials .

Thanks 👍🏻 I don’t think the Getrag can handle the power of the LS I have ( 550hp ) unless you baby it all the time which would defeat the purpose of the engine.

Mine are not mounted to the body at all. That’s what the old owner was trying to do but I did not like the idea of the stress on the body so I made a hole sub frame underneath it to hold the motors and pods. I have filled in those holes since this video was taken.

What do you mean by thinner? Can you elaborate more?

@@35CONTENDER on the QV5000 the rear bumper is shorter in terms of height, like bottom of the bumper to the top where the engine cover or wing is

@@kaing3460 Not sure what you mean by that a Countach really doesn’t have a rear bumper but if your referring to the space between the taillights that’s very close to stock because the tail lights are the size of the real deal.

@@35CONTENDER I am working on one as well. Motor is almost together. Gearbox is totally rebuilt and modified. It’s a lot of work as you know.

It was just surface rust nothing structural whatsoever . Actually it was a new car that never seen the road it just looks bad from it being wet.

A lot of people that can afford one still have a replica because that’s the car they will drive and enjoy and not worry about either .
