Since my stuff is in an entrainment center rather than on a rack, the esthetics aren't as important to me. If there's an obvious difference in performance, that's another story, though. I'm interested to see how the blind testing turns out! Nice video, Gabriel!

@@Data1Data1-v1k for $10? Go for it!
Thanks for posting your expertise, but I have to ask a technical question that I cannot find an answer anywhere. My 12'x15' room has a *vaulted ceiling that rises from left to right* (when facing the TV). Does DIRAC compensate for that? It's the only wall I can put the TV due to windows and doorway. So I bought both a Denon 3800h and Onkyo RZ50 that are still new in the box, one of them will be returned. If it helps, my modest 7.1.4 gear includes 8 bookshelf speakers consisting of ML LX16, CTR is ML 30i and sub is SVS PC-2000. Any help is appreciated.
@@carrickdubya4765 hello. Room correction is great but of course there are limitations..now it should certainly help with your case but the better you position your seats and if you can help with room acoustic trestmeenta all that will always make the room correction work easier. I much prefer the 3800h the longer I have been using it but you would need to buy Dirac for it though. Do you have more than one subwoofer? Thanks
At the same price which on would you buy Onkyo tx-rz50 or the Denon x3800h?
@@vaskodimoski5690 I would buy the Denon unless it's like more than $300 over the Onkyo personally.
Can you stack 1 ported and 1 sealed?
@@samsnyder2888 you could but you will want like a MiniDSP to be able to integrate them better because ported reverses the phase around the tunning port which will very likely created some cancellations. So ideally better to stick with sealed or ported for simplicity.
Hello, do you think that upgrading from a Denon X2600H to a X3800H would make a difference in sound quality? The extra height channels and pre outs would be a nice addition but im now asking about sound quality. Thanks!
@@AexoeroV well the 2600h has Audyssey xt while the 3800h has xt32 so that alone will make a BIG difference when you performed the calibration. And if you add Dirac later, then even more. So from my perspective yes because of the far superior calibration it will make a good difference.
@gabrieltechreviews8185 i see, i wont add Dirac, as far as i know it costs a lot!
@AexoeroV black Friday deals help but still xt32 will be far superior to your current Audyssey so you will notice the difference :)

@@mikeschmidt2339 it's surely going to help but if you feel your speakers are lacking then maybe upgrade those first. As for bass control, if you have more than one subwoofer then it will surely be great otherwise is not a useful in my opinion
Which is better for music? Thanks
@@luatdang1733 I didn't feel either had a big advantage but if you like to push it then maybe the rsl 12s so that the port is facing away from you this less port noises? Honestly, for music I would likely grab the sw15 not ported or your room is note huge or dual of those on sale right now. I love the sealed subs because of the slower rolloff and no port chuffing
@ my seating position is 11ft so I think the sealed sw15 will be a better choice. Thanks for your suggestion!
@luatdang1733 glad to help. They are all great but I feel for your setup and music you will enjoy the sealed more and if you go duals even better for nice room responses (if properly integrated) Thanks for watching!!
The 3800 is €850 here and the 4800 and rz50 both are €1400. I want to have dirac room correction, 5.1 setup with 5 new speakers of like €1500 total(already got subwoofer), and i also value clean stereo 2.1 music sound. Many people state that the sound quality between the 3800 and 4800 dacs can't be really heard, but i do think i need an external amp with the 3800? What shall i get?
@@lennartl6662 ok so for sure I would buy the 3800h if I were you and I would just add Dirac when on sale. As far as needing an amp with the 3800h the difference in power between the 3800h and 4800h is so small that if you REALLY need more power then you would have to add the amp either way. And yes I didn't hear anything dac related that was worth the extra for the 4800h. Sure it measures better but at a level where we humans already cannot tell a difference anyway. :)
so, the box said fixed focus so how can it be fixed focus and auto focus at the same time?
I think it depends on how much you use (frequency and pushing the unit). I have the Denon x4400, and I think for long term use and using the internal amps to the fullest I would lean towards the Denon 4800. Between it being hand built in Japan and the better quality amp build internally for the individual channels, I would get the 4800. But, if you are reducing strain on your front stage with an external amp then I might go for the 3800 if my current Denon dies. I know my unit does get very warm when in use for movies after an hour, so that would also be an interesting comparison to see temps between the units. I do have external fans sitting on the top that are variable vs temp detected.

Bro, sound like you are not a fan of SVS brand, have you ever try or test them?
@@huyly5339 I owned a few of svs which I thought I mentioned in the video too among other brands. They were a great deal back when they started but they are not now. There are much better options these days. I don't have anything against brands but if one can get better performance for the same or less money from other brands, why would I recommend svs? If you like svs that is fine, we all have the option to choose. Thanks
@gabrieltechreviews8185 bro, it's not like I am a big fan of SVS, it's just that the Stark Sound is so much cheaper, so I just wonder if you had compared the 2 brands, I actually opened to any brands that's considered best bang for the buck, but I really like your response and appreciated your knowledge 👍.
I kind of having the curiosity that how the Stark sound performing wise compared to the more expensive SVS 👍 .
@@huyly5339 well the most expensive svs is no slouch but the problem is at those prices there are better options like psa, ryrhmik, JTR etc. I used to runs big JTRs before but now I prefer my quad 15" Starkes and let my Tactile devices deliver the vibrations which means less SPL, less hearing loss and happier wife upstairs 😁👍
@gabrieltechreviews8185 when I looked at the Stark Sound warranty, it's only a 2 years while others like Monolith, RSL, and SVS offer 5 full years which make me pause a little bit 😀

What's your opinion of Starke SW10? I only have a small room, but I want a sealed subwoofer that is cheap and can deliver quite deep bass while sounding good for music and movies
@@weakpig I have not tried the sw10 unfortunately although I have considered one for my small office. You are right on with all of it. I traded in my watch 5 pro for all the same reasons you said about it. It was cool but it was laggy that digital bezel was okay I had no interest in a physical bezel and thought I'd give this one a shot.. It is absolutely perfect.. I see other reviewers saying you have to drag your finger around and you don't. You can just use it with the tip of your thumb naturally just like you would have clicked wheel and it's that accurate and that smooth and the haptic feedback is perfect. I found myself using my titanium silver Galaxy watch ultra way more than I used my watch5 pro.. I even started using it as a payment system with Samsung pay. I absolutely love this thing and like you said until you see it with your eyes.... Samsung's photos don't do it justice. It's the best looking smartwatch out there of any brand. In my opinion the titanium gray which most people seem to have gotten was too sporty looking.. White just wasn't my thing so I got the titanium silver and it's a classy looking watch. I got a super thin black case that pops on it off Amazon so I can change it to all black anytime..
@@ExposedRoot fully agree with all your comments. I wasn't expecting to like it this much, specially the bezel but like you said, just the tip of the finger around it and the haptic feedback completely sold me on it Thanks a lot for sharing your experience !

Are you getting an Ultra, the 7 or a previous model instead?
I'm really hoping the 7 and 7 ultra with the new CPU fixes the random lag issues that have always been present. So far my 7 is performing very well
Yes finger's crossed. The Classic 6 was randomly laggy then it would get smooth again for a long time and suddenly lag even after a reboot. It was odd but not often, at least mine. Like you, I am hoping these new models completely get rid of that :)
@gabrieltechreviews8185 the 4,5,6 all used essentially the same CPU with some minor tweaks so it's about time we get a massive boost in the watch area. I'm super hopeful this time around. They refined their phones/ tabs so now watches are all thats left:)

Can someone please help me with questions I have about my new Denon X2800 and the upmixing modes with a 5.1 setup?
I dont have that model but maybe I, or one of the viewers can offer some advice. I was looking at this: manuals.denon.com/AVRX2800H/EU/EN/DRDZSYyrtgycpw.php
@@gabrieltechreviews8185 Thank you. I will post my questions as soon as possible.
@@gabrieltechreviews8185 Hello Again. Here's the issue: I am only running a simple 5.1 setup with a new Denon X2800 - which pretty much functions like a 3800 - and the only source that's connected to the receiver is a Panasonic UHD Blu-ray player via HDMI. When we watch discs with 5.1 soundtracks, the Denon automatically engages either the Dolby Surround upmixer (for Dolby sources) or the DTS Neural:X upmixer (for DTS sources). Now, I could switch to the direct sound modes for those signals, such as Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-HD, etc., but I leave them engaged so two channel soundtracks, whether mono or stereo, are automatically steered properly into the center and other appropriate channels. If I DON'T leave the upmixers on, I would have to press the green button on the remote every time I switch discs and need to use the upmixer for a stereo/2.0 channel track. Now, I'm concerned that the upmixers are doing something or changing something when I use them with regular 5.1 soundtracks - but I'm not sure because there's nothing to "upmix" when using a 5.1 channel system and listening to a 5.1 channel soundtrack. Do you see what I'm asking? Do these upmixers alter the sound of 5.1 tracks when engaged on a 5.1 system, or are they ignored because there are no speakers to "upmix" to? Also -- how does leaving the Speaker Virtualizer on in the setup menu affect the Dolby Surround/DTS Neutral X upmixers, if at all? I know this setting is for creating a pseudo Atmos effect with a 5.1 system, but does it directly affect the upmixers when engaged? We have in ceiling surround speakers (for normal 5.1 surround), so should I be using the Virtualizer at all?
