When is off it spends more gas?
Always, because its choosing power over fuel economy gearing
400km. question is your transmission still stock or it was rebuild already with that milage? like clutch disk and lining were replaced?
Original transmission yes, engine and body were very worn out and it was scrapped at 411,000
Ah the dreaded "COLD START" on any old rav4. Ours is 97' & what helped me was the engine oil. I ended up changing the oil & filter myself. Used Castrol High Milage 5W-30. & no lie on cold starts, we had to crank the car & press the gas at the same time, but gently & once the "oil logo" was gone, the engine started... & the car ran like new. So imma change it every 5,000 miles
when should i use 2nd gear or 1st gear when it’s snowing?
Leave it in Drive, use 2nd when climbing slippery hills and use good snow tires amigo
@@GPaulDiddy alright, thanks. does over drive off makes the car faster and power or no? can i leave over “drive off” for a long time???
@@juarezzz3475 you can leave it off but it will drink more gas
Why is my 98 rav4 so dam loud starting up compared to yours
Older Toyotas are just like that, this one just got scrapped last week with 470k rip
Should i push the button when regular driving or climbing?
Leave it in drive with overdrive on when highway cruising
@@GPaulDiddy tq...damn...ive been off that thing for so many years.....does my transmission still good..worried...
@@thor11222 just burns more gas with it off, dont worry
Its jap confusing. If it just simply said: o/d on when its on and o/d off when it’s off. Talk about lost in translation! If tyou tap that button that says : o/d , then dash sqys in English: “O/D off “then it sets the car up for rough, steep hill climbing. ££££££ higher torque so I’ve crunched some numbers and I’ll let you work it out yourselves folks but it’s about 15 / 20 more in fuel. Its hard to say anything without sounding racist so I’m just g’leave with this radical idea: Honda, please change that button so when its pressed, it says: O/D on because as far back as i can remember then that was always the case! , If you don’t engage that button then in means its not being inadvertently being used to much expense. Here’s a perfect example a light switch BOOM 💥 Why are we all not working for honda, making damn good money plus a company vehicle ( a vauxhall thank you, its a deal beaker or I walk .. oh yeah benefits too and never mention overdive again unless you’ve had your 8 hours 😊
My overdrive doesnt go on again, you know what i can do?
Should Rev around 3000 Rpms on the highway with overdrive on, if its higher than that you have a transmission problem
Not 94 is 98model special corolla
You owned this or me?
Im getting an old civic as a 1st car
they're good, just dont get a clapped one, watch for rust
Good quality cars these Hondas. I'd love to consider one for my mom but the great multitude of auto trans failures on Accords sadly keeps me away. I guess this one was one of the lucky ones?
Yeah actually the 5 speed Auto has been pretty good so far, mind you the car owes me nothing if the trans were to go, i guess it being a 2nd year release of that gen and not being a V6 helps it, Original drivetrain - 325k km
I love that start sound
Yeah me too, signature older honda charm
why does it have 140mph ??
what are you on about lol
@@GPaulDiddy mine has 120 mph, i just wonder what is the difference engine is the same on every crv
@@TemoTemo1995 all 1st gen Cr-v's have a B20 1997 - 98 is 126 HP and 1999 - 01 has 146 HP. Yours is U.S spec, mines was Canadian spec 2000 Ex model
@@GPaulDiddy i have 2000 SE model
@@TemoTemo1995 Congrats, they were the best ones
So its a video of your leg
no, your leg
Didn't expect it to start?
I thought the cold killed the battery tbh
where is this?
4 km from where the car was built in canada
Where did you get the gauge cluster rings?
20 $ off Ebay, they're a bitch to press in. but I like them
Keep the car! I still driving a 99 civic se, keeping up with the rust! These are great to work on, even if they seem to cost more to keep them maintained and road worthy! If I lose my car in an accident, or the unibody rots out, I'm still going to buy another 99-00 civic!
this one rotted out, and leaked everything. I ended up doing just that and got another 2000 civic from a senior with 80k km. check out the other vids haha
FIRT!!! :D

*mind flashes to Dexter's Labratory and the opening for the Star Check episode where his mom sings*

Engine sounds good. Why scrap it? Then again it would be removed and transferred to a civic with a dead engine.
more than likely rusted underneath, but if it's safe and roadworthy i would drive that home
Where is overdrive button situated?
End of Shiftknob
400'000km not bad :)
thanks, the body and motor were going bad, looking at a manual 2000 CR-V today. might post a vid if I do end up buying it
Jajaja así es
Great car! one question , was the black thingy where the Honda badge is has always been black ? is the how it was from the factory?
you mean the front grille?
Always been black from factory
mine revs up to 2000 on cold mornings (its 93' 1.3L and has above 300 000km(190 000 miles))
I hope you still have yours, I miss my Corolla
Power windows has always been standard, AC, everything. It is a very well equipped car for the money. This is a model with heated seats, too. Not badly equipped. The plastic is well made. I don't snuggle my dash too much ;) I would travel long distance, enjoy 55 mpg at 60 mph on the freeway.
Yeah, and coming back to the Mirage, im thinking of getting one to deliver food with in the spring. going for a CVT auto if i can find a used one under 6 grand
How did you activate overdrive
overdrive button on the shifter column
how close overdrive
OK A FEW THINGS THAT DON'T ADD UP IS "KM ODOMETER & EX BADGE" IN AMERICAN IT'S USE AS "MPH" MILES PER HOUR SO 82,OOO WOULD = A LITTLE OVER 16O,OOO MILES IS OK NOT BAD BRO NOW WHEN IT COMES TO MODE THE ORDER WOULD BE DX, HX, LX, EX & S! YOU WOULD HAVE OR IT'S NOT AN "EX" MODEL LET ME TELL YOU WHY FIRST IS ALL EX HAVE SUNROOF OR MOONROOF WHATEVER YOU LIKE TO CALL IT THE SIDE SKIRTS WOULDN'T BE BLACK THEY BE PAINTED LIGHT BROWN TAN LIKE THE REST OF THE CAR AND YOU WOULD HAVE HAD A "CD RADIO" INSTEAD OF CASSETTES AND YES EX WOULD HAVE EVERYTHING POWER SO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A "LX" MODEL CAUSE THE MAIN THING TO LOOK FOR IS IT HAS NO "SUNROOF" LX HAD THE OPTION BUT IT WOULD CAUSE $1,5OO-2,OOO WHEN YOU COULD HAVE PAYED $4,OOO MORE AND GET THE FULLY LOADED EX BUT OVER ALL YOU GOT A REALLY NICE CAR BROTHER OH YEAH AND UNLESS IT'S A "B SERIES OR H SERIES K SERIES" IT'S NOT A V-TEC SO "D SERIES F SERIES" ARE NON V-TEC BUT THERES ALOT OF THINGS THAT CAN BE DONE TO THESE CAR HAVE FUN AND DRIVE SAFE BROTHER
Canadian models are different. ive grown up with 90s civics. I know what i have is an Ex and not an Lx.
Hey just saw your video, would you say that this is a good buy? www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/city-of-toronto/honda-civic-2000-ex-g-fully-automatic/1268860442?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true&uli=true Thanks in advance!
heh, its the same colour as mine and its like 10 mins away from me lol. looks decent, price looks alright, I'd just be curious to why it needed a new transmission and power steering rack. if it runs and drives good offer 900 at the maximum. you wanna go check it out?
Yeah just like mine same color except mine its the us DX model 5 speed stick love it just drove cross country for 3 days non stop just gas and go still going strong immaculate condition just like yours thank you for sharing nice nice love my civic take care it will last long long time.
I had a DX/VP my first 5 speed, I miss some things that the 5 speed did like the MPG's but with the amount of stop and go traffic it was time to buy an automagic civic hehe, good to hear yours is still out and seeing the country, I'm planning a solo road trip to California with my civic this june. how many miles on yours?
Big Body has a sounds!
Great condition! Nice find man. Found my from first owner bought off dealer was a sweet find for me. I like the cluster with the rings lol.
Thanks for the compliment! made a typo in the video and this one didnt come with Vtec, how many kilometers/miles on your civic? :D
Lol welcome. I do wish mine came with the vtec, I have the LX trim. I had it for a over a year now got it with 124k now has 156k. I've used it allot lol.
how much is it going for :)
Tryin to get 500 for it
im looking for one of these 5speed etested safetied :) need a new car :)
+singlecams next to impossible to find these in Decent shape and 5 speed. im throwing new brakes and balljoints in it tommorow. I noticed a lot of "low miles" civic on kijiji, with a closer look they just had their guage clusters swapped with low-km odometers.
+GPaulDiddy thats too bad I've been looking at kijiji but its hard many look modified or throwing codes or broken windshields.
+singlecams Turns out my underbody is getting a lil unsafe now :/
+GPaulDiddy what is wrong with it
+singlecams balljoints, brakes, control arm bolts seized, oil pan rusted, fuel and brake lines rusted, exhaust broken in 2 places, First gear and reverse grind, burns oil badly and the starter is starting to go. but the car does now have 365000 km
not ex
supra8065 Really? then what is it?
+GPaulDiddy it's a LX. Ex civic's come with a D16y8 what your starting up is a D16y7 non vtec
It's an Ex. In canada we didnt get sunroofs on sedans. I grew up with a 97 civic Ex. had it for 11 years..
supra8065 baciaclly canada had a extra top end model so usa lx= Canadian ex. and our ex was the si there and our si was the si-r
Nice. ¿Cuánto costó?
thanks friend, It cost 485 canadian dollars
Its a 4 door sedan :)
How many doors does it have?

I have the same exact tank, but i keep my betta in it when they are sick, not to live in. It would suck living in such a small tank.
Alot of betta breeders told me that keeping males with females in a community is unhealthy for the betta, but it's better than were was was and he loves the space of the 75 litres he shares. You never always have to go by the rules because bettas all have their own personalities and their demands differ :)
@GPaulDiddy most pet store employees aren't given the correct info on fish care. they'll tell you, that you can gave goldfish in a 1 gallon, but you can't. at least 1.5 gallons is perfect for bettas, and are safe to heat with a small heater. i have seven bettas, and my smallest tank is a 1 gallon for a female who doesn't like larger tanks. take a look at the video i have posted, and tell me she doesn't look happy. :3 he'll enjoy having more space to swim, and will thrive with a heater!
@catboyy thanks, I changed earlier that day , his tank looks dirty but his water isn't.
@Luimeril thanks, I was thinking about getting him a larger tank with a heater but the pet store where i got him said he didn't need it.
he'll do alot better in a larger tank. not saying he's unhappy, but most bettas enjoy larger tanks, at least 1.5 gallons. that way, you can decorate his tank alot more, give him more plants to hide in, since bettas LOVE plants, and get him a heater, which is recommended for bettas in most areas(unless it's warm all year round where you live). i also agree with catboyy. in a small tank like that, daily water changes are needed to maintain healthy water quality. :3
