From what I found, you can do this, but you only gang about 2 inches at most of up and drop travel so an inch in both directions anything beyond that you have to replace your control arms, your rod and your CV two longer stuff or else your geometry is completely fucked and so will tiers
@johnstevens7643 this old video, I have found more geometry and put together better info. Due to lack of interest in products I didn't bother making updated version. In short I have 35x12.5r17 I'm cycling 10" travel, clearing lock to lock at bump. Reduced bum steer and minimal track width scrub. Tire were is fine, no issues.
I can tell you are super knowledgeable about this topic, thanks for sharing!
What would be the best budget package for a daily driven 2WD truck? And what would you recommend for getting some decently smooth travel in the rear?
@joewatkins209 hello. I have made many more updates to parts and other parts. Pics on my Instagram @merkubuilt. I'm trying to wrap up extra bits to make 1 to 2 videos to give complete overview of options and what it took for 35s to fully fit. Feel free to also email to get product info. Thank you.
Where can you buy it and what is the price?
I sell via PayPal. You can email me with your info and shiping address at Merkubuilt@gmail.com
So asfar as ive seen it seems like they only produce spacer lifts and no proper suspension lifts to fully utilize the new limits of travel with the fender hights after the lift? Maybe im not aware of something with these kits that alow for more droop and upward travel but generally spacer lifts dont affect travel lengths, good video none the less!
@tanner2254 travel remains at 10" front 12" rear with kit. You can't run bigger than select 31" stock at bump or eas failure(daily posts in groups) tire will go into body work and you are stuck. Oem travel far superb vs other vehicles.
awesome video, awesome information, thanks for putting this out! would love to see this truck in action and an update on how it performs
I ended up getting -18 17x9 wheels 315 70 17(metric 35x12.5). There is new product video and update coming, in short I created clearance issues for my self. Plus I live in PA with on and off snowing limited trails around here, not much action aside from testing movement and clearances.
Let’s see this thing offroad next
There is update coming, I went to general -18 17x9 with 315/70r17. In turn I created clearance issues for my self, not much offroad been done sense. I been working on new product with solution to run 35x12.5 on common offset aftermarket wheels.
This is great information man keep it up!
Do your spacers fit a 2007 Range Rover hse sport ? I have suspension conversion kit on it now.
No, these are l322 only different suspension set up entirely. I am in process of developing kit for lr3/4/rrs.
Oh ok cool 👍
If used a lift knuckle and uniball uca would that allow for more travel technically unless limited by the shocks?
You will be limmit by CV half shaft, and coilovers. Uniball bill stronger upgrade. I'm not sure how alignment will be, most uniballs are "corrected" for levling kit. I am working on my own UCA with LCA relocation to move hub about .75" forward for better 35" clearance.
@@merkubuilt gotcha awesome ty for the reply bro! It’s a 2wd truck unfortunately I have dirtking ucas I’m looking to get a uniball uca soon. If only I knew ball joints would have limited my travel that bad. A uniball with a cap should be decent for daily driving right?
@ebkbk9902 if you keep it cleaned sprayed with Teflon it should good. But they wear and make noises way faster than ball joint, but way stronger.
@@merkubuilt thank you brotha!!
Very Nice, have you got a website with prices etc?
I only got few products. Prices listed on Facebook Paige. Ordering done via dm or email, payment incoiced PayPal as goods and services.
What is the price of a 2 inch kit
@guyradar update prices posted on Facebook Paige. Right now 1100usd plus shiping and PayPal fee.
So are the shocks you installed 2.0 or 2.5” body? And you used a 3.5” lift knuckle from rough country?
Correct 3.5 knuckle from RC, I got coilovers swt at about 3" lift. For coilovers they are FOX 2.0 6.5" stroke with reservoir, strapped and bumped at 9.25 travel. I am making new parts to adjust LCA geometry for better 35 clearance and max fox travel to 10-11". 6.5" is odd, all others are 6" 10" travel is max. You can run 2.5 I already further improved mount fitment for 2.5s, it be a waste of money for me based on trails here.
@@merkubuilt I’m definitely in need of a 2.5 where I’m at. If I can get a 2.5x6” IBP coilover in there and have 10” travel with 4x4 I’d be a happy camper. How are you strapping off the stock lower?
@1fsthyundaisonata1 lol, I actually was looking at king 2.5 ibp, after built mine... Strap of eyelet through bolt to upper control arm bolt. There is pic on my Instagram. You only want to strap last .25 of stroke to prevent top out, I would contact king see if that's needed. Email me I'll show you what got and we get you set up.
Thank you! I’ve been searching everywhere for the wheel travel for this era Silverado. I just put dirk king UCAs, eibach coilovers, with rear reservoirs on my 2014 Sierra with 285/70r17 Mickey Thompson Baja boss.
Do note with you got ball joint uca, you will be limited to about 7.5" of travel via angle limmit. Uniball provides more angle motion. Eibach wil not be fully utilized.
@@merkubuilt So despite the extending stroke length of the eibachs I'll be limited with the Mooj joints in the UCAs? With the oversize tires would it matter? I feel like i probably gained some droop but don't have the upward travel due to the tire size anyway.
@5RWill way all levling UCAs made with ball joints. You gain 1" down travel lose 4" total uptravel. Down your lower, tiered, axle clearance bottoms out. Uptravel new upper angle locks out. That's why I went with lift knuckles.
You have done your research I too am doing something similar
Thank you. First truck, with popularity of trucks aftermarket is not what I expected. Hit me up if you need mounting hardware.
Do the spacers work with the adaptive shocks fitted to late L322s?
Yes they do. Only thing you might need free wires up from harness to get more lengh for front struts.
Looking forward to the 4" lift video!
There is 4 inch info under older vids on channel
I’m in in your kit the question is my 2011 Range Rover sc l322 has an electronic connection on the top of the strut is enough specs to plug it?
Front strut spacer has 3" id hole in center. You got space, but you will need to extend wires. Been done before.
Hey, i got one of your earlier kits, it didn't come with the rear shock bumpstop spacers. Is this new addition a result of some issues? Just wondering if i need to get the spacers as well
New bump stops replace use of top spacer. Rear down travel has been limited by 2" now. 2010 and up had air springs pop, fix take away extension and lower angle they see. If you like to update, email ill get price for you.
@@merkubuilt When you can show the video of this car in off road ?
@lenag7371 in beginning you can see mine articulating on trail. I personally don't have more footage, storage drive loss. Rover is curently for sale, I'm not trying to do unnecessary risks.
men whats goin on with de build
I stoped, ran out of time with my son being born. Garage building took to long to be up due to regulations. I need up getting a truck. Selling Rover. Lift kits are still and will avaliable, with new vehicle new products coming.
Please start offering the 2" kit again. I would order one ASAP.
hey guy i want to know sound system on L322, can usay me
Please make a video on how to clean the drainages
Wow! What a project!!! Subscribed! Do you have instagram?
Yes I do. Don't know how to link it. But its @sgcoffroad
Thanks dude, I have this issue. Been wondering how to troubleshoot it.
No problem, glad this helps. Like, Sub, Bell for more content. Pass word around lol. Would like to grow the channel.
You didn’t mention the rear doors and drains on them
On boot lid etc
@@keithvers569 I did mention door drains. This video was not about hatch issues. I have not experienced any so I dont have good input on that.
Could you not keep the gearbox which came with the m62, or would you require a custom bell housing for it to match the new engine to the old gearbox ?
Correct, plus gear ratios of 5 hp are old and not great.
That is a very compelling case for putting the m54 in one of these, especially when you sprinkle in the 8hp to go with it. That makes a ton of sense, and it's also easy to get more power out of the m54 while keeping it reliable. The cooling system is the most important thing to upgrade. I have an m52tu (same as m54, different displacement and throttle body, but everything else swaps between the two engines) in my 5 speed 528i, and I put in a 70 degree (Celsius) thermostat and emp water pump, along with an electric radiator fan upgrade and all new cooling system pipes (those annoying plsstic pipes under the intake manifold), hoses, and radiator. It runs at 80-86 degrees C constantly, no matter how hot it is outside with those parts. I have an aftermarket head unit for the radio with the iBus app installed so I can watch the engine temps live. Also I recommend either getting the metal valve cover and oil catch can upgrade or the m56 valve cover upgrade, either will give you a metal valve cover that won't crack and delete the ccv system that likes to break under the intake manifold. I went with the m56 valve cover upgrade because I happen to find one in the wrecking yard in great condition for cheap (and the m56 valve cover uses much better gaskets). I recommend getting metal pulleys to replace the plastic pulleys on the water pump and power steering pump as well. I went with an underdrive pulley kit that helps with fuel economy and hp (not by much on either of those metrics, but I figure every little bit helps). Lastly for reliability on the m54, i recommend checking on the oil pump. That's the last reliability issue I have to address on my car, and I ordered the oil pump sprocket nut with safety wire and I plan to replace the factory nut with that. There are much better upgrades for that, including the Achilles shaft and sprocket upgrade, or various total oil pump upgrades. Since I don't see a lot of high rpm use (my 528i is a daily driver, not a race car), I went with just the nut with safety wire. I've had a lot of these bmw engines (m30, m52, m52tu, m54, m62tu, and m73) from this Era, and the m52tu/m54/m56 (these are all by and large the same platform) are my favorite overall.
Thank you for support. Funny you mention those things, they on list as needed. Ill be covering them as build goes on. Main priority is oil pan to mate.
Nice job. I appreciate this info. I'll be looking to get the 2" kit for my 2004 HSE RR
I have Johnson lift rods on mine. Will it be ok with the 2in lift or do I need to go back to stock lift rod sensors? I’m also on air suspension.
Yea you will be fine. As per 2 lift kit vids. On Air still need rods as that part wasn't modified. 2 inch kit simple extendends bump stops and returns spring pressure to oem levels. Making safe to run oversized tires.
Good job 👍
How do set the clock please I just a L322 with after market sound system
I wonder if you can jump the clock to adjust the time..
Hello, What headhunt is that for your stereo? Does it work with the steering wheel controls? I have been looking for a replacement but haven't found one. Thanks
Thanks for the video. Do you have a link to the housing unit and stereo you installed? Or any info at all? Thanks!
Just look for bmw e38 android. E53 don't fit right due to curve. You want e38.
Where do I purchase these kits from
You can by via email at sgcoffroad@gmail.com
@@merkubuilt is it safe to convert your air suspension to coils for a 2007 range or newer ????

With 2” lift 22”rims on all-terrain‘s fit… also if I have adapters to widen my wheelbase Will that effect my turning clearance?
Where or who can I order this 2 inch spacers? Best Regards, David
You can order via email sgcoffroad@gmail.com. paypal.com is payment system for security and buyer/seller protection. Currently working on. Starting website for new year to see if its worth it.
Why didint you use the original Sub house? Your subs didit fit? Sorry didint understand it when you talked about it in the video :) Want to fit a sub in mine (it did come without) and thought about buying and original one and fitting new subs in.
Would not fit. 6.5 that are interesting are like mid speaker size. Not deep small magnets oem box very small, looks big but its shallow.
This looks awesome! Where did you get the kit from?
I belive. I mentioned it. Reguardless called Auto Leather Dye
I had British 4x4 in SLC install my 2" lift so I can't comment on that process, but the end result is great! I'm now running 275/60/20s with just a tiny tiny bit of rubbing on the washer fluid reservoir when fully cranked (mostly in reverse). I might look into relocating that some day but it's totally fine for now.
Washer relocation is thing. Basicly its due to caster angle front wheel goes forward as you lift, that angle has to be there or handling problems occure. Washer bottle was made to lay right on liner, super tight fit.
Can adapters be added to widen the wheel base?
