Bluebird Hatching
I had the amazing opportunity to witness a baby bluebird hatching and was fortunate enough to capture it on video. I apologize for the unsteadiness of my hand. Enjoy!

Starving Baby Bluebirds
this is so exciting to see. thanks for sharing it. New friend here. Lilly
Your dumb they are hunger feed them
Nice video thanks for sharing, but it was sad to see how hungry they were but mom couldn't feed them because of your presence from other videos I have seen baby birds eat frequently I hope you kept your distance after this video..
I want them💕💕
We have a bluebird egg
Awe cute wearing a little blue hat. Were you hand holding the camera? If so you have a steady hand. Mom still incubating eggs in my nest box. I would like to do this but every time I open the nest box I get dive bombed by the male.
Yes I was holding it by hand and it was quite painful trying to remain still. I would go out and talk to the parents and they got used to me. Even had one that would come land on my bathroom window and tap on it.
@@deborahschowalter5929 mine have been in my backyard feeding since sept 2020 from my caged BB feeder you would think they would be used to me since I’m always in the yard talking to mine as well. They were fine checking daily while she laid her eggs but I only got dive bombed by the male after she started ft incubation. What camera and lens did you use? My box opens with side door bottom lift. I put a camera in one of my boxes she ended up using the one without the camera. I was bummed. I live in Cali and have western bluebirds.
hi i got a blue bird egg i just got it now and im just waiting for it to hatch im excited
Earlier in the video I heard an adult bird chirping, perhaps the mother of these babies, screaming from a nearby tree, "LEAVE! LEAVE!" While this is interesting to watch, it's also painful to watch knowing that in order to capture this live, you had to interfere with nature. Instead, consider installing a GoPro or some other digi-cam. Even an old cell phone can be propped up and left alone to record this. Every movement of these baby birds and each peep takes incredible amount of energy they simply don't have as newborns. Their mother usually assists with the hatching process, so that less energy is used from the baby, and feeds them immediately. With little to no feathers, they are also probably cold. That too loses energy trying to maintain adequate body temperature.
I appreciate your concern however I assure you they were in no harm and now even YEARS after this video come to visit me. Trust me I even fought a snake to rescue several babies.
Thanks for posting this.
What the neck are you waiting for you idiot feed those baby birds
SOOO CUTE!
I love blue 🐦 I have a nest box 💜
I found a eastern bluebird egg under a tree and don’t know what to do with it so I found a nest and I put it in there because my mom doesn’t want it
Cubing Clown more than likely the egg is not viable so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t hatch.
Deborah K Schowalter it hatched today the birds are so cute
@@cubingclown4796 I found one. It hatched today. We found it after a storm by an empty tree. Sadly, no birds were around, so we incubated it.
i would of kept one as a pet
So much more beautiful to watch in nature / outdoors. They’re not meant to be caged. They do still come visit even years later. I’ve become very close to them as well as the deer and other wildlife in my backyard.
It's sad how hungry and weak they look since their mom couldn't come to feed being wary of humans. Its great seeing baby being born but I wouldn't have stayed as long as you did sweetheart.
But will say good job though
The mother + father were extremely familiar with me and would come to the box even if I was nearby. The babies were fed and grew up to all be beautiful blue birds. I would never jeopardize the health and well being of my baby birds. The blue birds come up and perch on my back porch and even will come tap on my bedroom window. I understand your concern but trust me when I say they were in no danger.
I have 3 blue bird eggs the 4th one died so since it died I checked the development and mabye about 3 to 7 days at the most
Life!!
What kinda of fruit do I feed them mine hatched 5 mins ago and don’t know what to do I cut down their tree without knowing they were in their
Move the next to another tree nearby. The mother will find them. They eat meal worms.
Deborah Kay Frendak I cut down all the trees in that area I was burning the trees when I saw the eggs in the tree the closest tree is about 50 feet away but the branches are to high for me to reach do I just lay them on the ground or what I’m feeding them baby Oatmeal mixed with little warm water and really good smashed up fruit like grapes I heard that was good for them
I would put up a bird house on a metal pole for the bluebird to find. Just make sure you have something to keep the snakes out. They sell all of that at Lowe’s or Home Depot.
Wow. Thank you for making this! Loved it. So funny, the bird wear the egg like a hat.
Sooo cute
Beautiful.. thank you for sharing
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it. They still hang around and visit. They like to sit on my car windows and mailbox. Occasionally they’ll even tap on my bathroom window.
Baby birds make inefficent but funny slaves (regard them as toys). They will fail every task and poop everywhere, so you would be forced to microwave them. Since their skin is so thin, they will explode and become popbirb. They are nice meal! You can gift some to your girlfriend and eat them during watching a movie.
TovKafur are you Asian?
And if someone did tht to your children don’t say nothin
@@going2bejaydawayda582 If you see no difference between humans and birds, i recommend you to seriously reconsider you views.
TovKafur you seriously need help if you think I need to reconsider my views between human babies and bird babies. If you thought it was okay to do to an animal you’d build up the tolerance to do it to humans. That’s how a lot of psychopaths begin.
@@going2bejaydawayda582 >If you thought it was okay to do to an animal you’d build up the tolerance to do it to humans. By your logic every skinner or butcher is a serial killer in making. >That’s how a lot of psychopaths begin. That shows that how little you know about psychology. You can't become a psychopath, it's either genetic or formed early in life.
you need to get out of there so the mother can feed them!
Wow! God blessed you to witness such an incredible thing as this Deborah. Thank you for sharing!
poor little things are starving
I'm starving too. I don't want bread, meat or fruits: i want baby birds. Dozens. Hundreds. I will take a few at once, and a second later they will chirp inside me.
I found an egg that looked exactly like these ones less than an hour ago. I didn't think I could save it, so I put it in a tree, and walked away.
How do you attract them I love bluebird
When I started youtube I be like
So comical to see hatchlings with their large, unopened eyes and bobbing heads, opening their beaks wide for food at any sign of movement. Interesting video, well done, you, for capturing this.
They are so funny! I want some as toys. Or as slaves. They will fail every task and poop everywhere, so i would be forced to microwave them. Since their skin is so thin, they will explode and become popbirb. And then i will eat them.
just had four eggs today!! second batch. I grow mealworms and feed mom and pop.
Hope Hulsizer We had 6 eggs about a month ago. That's the most I've seen. Today there are 5 eggs ... 2nd brood for this summer.
how do you grow the mealworms?
Are they putting their head up where they go Super Saiyan or something
should you clean your box every year
Bob Cochrane I clean it out after every brood otherwise they will keep building on top of the last nest.
Yes and after each nesting
maybe wants a food..
they ARE food
TovKafur you are Asian?
Can you make a update Vedio
if you touch them try to rub them in the mothers nest not too hard so them the mother will know what they smell like possibly
Y la mama......what
fabulous...thanks for the video.....
this was wonderful to watch. I couldn't help feel but feel sorry their mother was kept away though, they looked so hungry and weak.
She wasn't kept away she would come down and eat the shells and feed them. I made sure the "disturbance" was minimal. I've raised LOTS of bluebirds and many will still come back to visit. I have one that likes to sit on my bathroom window and peck at the glass.
Pro trick: watch series at Flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies these days.
Slowest headbanging ever.
so cute god job for cameraman
are they real?
Yes. They are baby bluebirds. I have at least two to four broods a season. Typically there are four to five eggs each brood.
No. They are fake. In fact, it is what yolk becomes if it escapes the egg. You have to fry that yolk real fast, and things you thought are baby birds will turn in an omelette.
You can hear a gun go off in the distance. What a contrast to such a frail and beautiful creature to violence and death versus life.
They could be practicing. Usually hunting only a few shots. You won't waste ammunition... plus tears up the prey
hey I got blue eggs my house to
