After a whole day tour, there are various places in Taipei to visit in the evening for some shopping and food tripping. 🛍️😋 Just a metro or even a few minutes walk from Taipei Main Station is Ximen. Known as a shopping youth district, one can find here various shops of both local and international brands. The streets are also filled with various Taiwanese street food. 🛒🍜 Another famous night food market is Shilin, where one can find and try so many street food. This is just a few minutes away from Taipei Astronomical Museum. 🍢🍡 And just at the end of the Tamsui MRT line is Tamsui's Golden Riverside and Tamsui Old Street. Aside from being able to try various street food, one can enjoy and relax in a very scenic park with a great view of a river and a mountain. 🏞️🌅 When in Taipei, make sure to try as many street food as possible. We tried and enjoyed fire grilled beef, sweet potato balls, flour noodles, boneless chicken, boba milk tea, pepper bun, grilled crab stick, and stinky tofu just to name a few. 😋🤤 We hope you enjoy your Taipei evenings, too :)

With its efficient and convenient metro and bus system, it is easy to visit various sites in Taipei's main city center in a day or two. Should not be missed is the Chiang Kai-Shek (CSK) Memorial Hall in Liberty Square. CSK is a former president of the ROC and this is his burial site. Make sure to watch the Changing of the Honour Guards which happens every hour. A tour of the city is not complete without hiking in the Elephant Mountain. It is an easy hike, we've seen families with kids, seniors, and even fur babies doing the climb. After hiking, you'll be rewarded with a great view of the city, highlighted by Taipei 101. In the east side of Taipei is the National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, built in honor of Taiwan's Father of the Nation. From here, one can walk to Taipei 101, Taiwan's tallest building, for shopping and dining. Don't forget to visit Lungshan Temple. Aside from its wonderful architecture, one can offer prayers together with both locals and tourists visiting this holy site. The temple can be visited until early evening.
