3DBI for Revit also works with Revit links. So you can bring in your separate model as links into 1 root document and then export that document.

Hi, object identifiers are automatically assigned to the different object in the .3dbi file and are based on the Element ID of each exported element. You can also find this ID back in the exported .json file (if that option is checked), in the Id column.

Hi, it might be possible that, when you perform your json import, that Power BI automatically does a few steps. I believe the issue you are describing can be solved by undoing those steps and then start from scratch. Also please notice that 3DBI for Revit comes with an example dashboard that you can also use to get started. It has the data connection already setup.

so if I not add the json is can't defind the table AND insert the revit model , can help ?

Please check the last option during exporting. If that last option is not checked, it will only export a .3dbi file, and not a .json file.

@@chseeto I would recommend having a look at some Power BI resources that handle about loading in JSON files, for example: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/json The single JSON file contains multiple "tables" (Lists of data essentially). You can also take a look at the example dashboard that comes with 3DBI for Revit and see how its data source was setup.

Hi, Always start right to left. If the last character of your location is 1, 2, 3 then first make 3 pallets (or other objects) and assign a 1, 2 and 3 as their ID. Then group them en duplicate them as per the second set of characters (1...12 for example) and assign those IDs to each group of pallets. Hi, you might want to verify that all IDs of elements that you want to display are passed through the Object Identifiers field.

@@informaxyz I have a 3dbi model loaded in Power bi, but some of the elements are not highlighted, because the number of elements is very large, if you get data from two tables, you can see that it identifies all objects. The number of builds is approximately 36 thousand

The amount of memory consumed is based on the number of unique so-called vertices in your 3D model. Complex shapes have more vertices than abstract ones. For example, 1 cube has 8 vertices. A cylinder on the other hand could be made of 100’s of vertices. If your model contains lots of complex (or rounded) geometry, you will at some point hit a RAM memory limit. From internal testing we found out that the limit translates to roughly 80mb .3dbi files. But this is not a fixed figure.

@@informaxyz and when exporting ifc to 3dbi format, can you reduce the number of vertices? To make the visual quality lower?

@@НикитаВладимирович-в6м with 3DBI for IFC it currently is WYSIWYG. If the IFC model contains complex geometry, the resulting .3dbi file will contain the same complexity. We are working on various improvements to 3DBI for IFC and addressing the geometrical complexity is one of those improvements.
