Not to mention the legends behind Meredith Metalworks as well...

INSTALLING FRONT RADIUS ARMS & CROSS MEMBER
มุมมอง 2.2K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Join me in installing new front radius arms and cross member at Fulcrum Suspensions ⚙️ By replacing the cross member on my Suzuki Jimny it will allow for a full drop of the drive shaft and also strengthen the chassis, essentially unlocking the full length of the suspension. And for the new radius arms, these will improve my Jimny’s handling and performance but also allow for reduced arm flex fo...

If it includes extractors, why are there no dyno figures. I want some additional power, not a better note!
Love this build, and I'm using this video to make my own rear table. Did your table warp at all from the heat? did you do anything to the table to prevent it from warping?
I live life on the road, and these Bluetti's are my #1 favourite item, so helpful and makes life easy. For a year I used AC power from the gym membership (good crew there) and car charging to top up. I ended up burning out my 12v car wiring by pulling 17 Amps over a decently long period of driving, so anyway I didn't bother fixing that just moved to solar and DC-DC fast charger. Now "off the grid" but using fuel to run the car, pretty good for the environment and I'm happy with it ❤️
How do you charge it off the Jimny ? Is it only an over night battery / over night camping only ?
Looks awesome Marlin. So depending on what you’re running off it is how many hours you can get is that correct. So you can run a 4WD / Camping fridge off it for days or isn’t it capable enough doing that. Because I need to get my self some kind of Battery pack or Battery and the box to run my fridge and charge my phone etc off it
A small 12 volt cooler/refrigerator would run for days on the AC180.
I've just bought the same one to run my sleep apnoea machine when camping is pretty handy to have in the shed to run lights etc when power goes out too
How much does it cost?
The Jimny? Around 38,000 AUD
Review on fulcrum suspension?
It's pretty awesome, might do a full review video soon but can definitely recommend it ahead of other suspension set-ups like Ironman etc. It's good but the fulcrum just comes with more in the kit overall for the price you're paying, plus service is top notch!
Great video, thank you guys!
Looking awesome, was looking at Fabulous Fabrication and this one, any recommendations?
@RuiqiJia-e3i there is also ALL TYPE FABRICATIONS as they do an outstanding job as they did mine and the price with install was good also.
I reckon the quality of the Meredith Metalworks snorkels are a lot better than other ones I've seen on the market. Definitely worth the price in my opinion.
Have you looked at or considered the slimline no drill snorkel?
Nah not really after having this snorkel on my 3 door for soo long and a lot of the non-drill ones are often plastic and look very cheap and outright quite ugly in my opinion :/
Any discounts available?
I would keep an eye out for Black Friday as there might be some good deals going!
Wow that looks awesome that definitely would look amazing on my Black 3 door Jimny might have to look at getting one after Christmas
Thanks, yeah it's a great setup! I bet it would look great on your Jimny!
Snorkel on wheels. 😂😂
Oh well at least it looks sick 😏
There in behind the Jindalee arb aren't they?
Yeah they're literally right behind them, same building!
Can you incorporate all your jimny running on road clips into one video? It's such a good looking car, I think I could watch a three hour long film. You've done a good job on it.
Thank you!! Haha yeah maybe I should do that, just make a super long one. Might take you up on that one ;)
Sure do!
Hi, Great Vid, just a question on the 5 door upgrade, did you do the radius arm when you installed the fulcrum lift?
Yes I did! I have the new radius arms on both the 3 and 5 door :)
where di you get the hat ?
You didn't uploaded the harness installation video so I installed the harnesses at own driveway today. 2 hr job, not too bad for the first timer 😅
Yeah sorry haven't gotten around to it yet, but sounds like a good effort, I'm going to have a go at that once I get the time!
Any news on a GVM upgrade by fulcrum? Ive been dying for an answer
Hey! Good question actually, I was going to check in with them. I'll check and let you know!
Great video
Cheers! Glad you liked it :)
The AllGrip system is slow to engage. It takes 4-5 full wheel turns to recognize that it needs to apply brakes on the spinning wheel. By the time the AllGrip system recognize the spinning wheel the car has come to a full stop and the process starts all over again. Sigh. Other manufacturers have way better systems. To make the best out of the AllGrip system you have to drive the car at slightly faster speed with a greater momentum. As this is not to my liking I bought front and rear auto difflockers from Kaiser in Brazil and now I can drive much slower and in a much more controlled manner than with the AllGrip. No regrets whatsoever as the price was way less than the ARB’s. My local ARB retailer wanted U$4’400 for front & rear plus installation. The Kaiser ones cost me U$2’200 installation included. This was a no-brainer for me. Yes, the ARB’s are the best the market has to offer, but they are not the most value for your money. - My opinion is that the Kaiser diff-lockers are way better, all things considered.
I've heard good things about the Kaiser diff-lockers - a lot of people have been happy with them so it sounds like you made a good choice. Personally I don't need diff lockers for my use but great to have it if you spend enough time off-road!
Nice to see you looks amazing
Get rid of the offset bushes, get the correct radius arms. Good luck with the setup.
This is the kit I'm going with in my XL. I just can't decide whether to go the standard kit or the premium kit. Car is fairly stock at the moment except tyres and an Xbar on the back. I might put a bull bar on one day but undecided. Should I go premium or standard kit?
Yeah fair! I personally prefer the Fulcrum lift kit over the Ironman lift kit that I have on the 3-door simply because it feels smoother to drive. It depends on how much you want to spend at the end of the day but I think either option will be good. You could always add the radius arms on later on.
Thanks Marlin for sharing this video with me definitely learn something about the lift kits. I so need to get my Jimny lifted and it’s tyres and maybe rims done is well on my 3 door. Hopefully very soon so I can join up with a 4WD club and get out there and do some wheeling. Definitely looking forward to seeing you both on the next episode 😊
Thanks so much Jeremy! Let me know what you end up doing for the rims - heaps of options out there but I'd recommend some alloy if you have the option too as it will save you some weight on your wheels and fuel long-term.
Turbo diesel then ill buy one
Yeah fair would get another one if so haha
Hi there, did you encounter any issues for having it more than a year of use that we should be mindful with before getting one?
Hey! I think it's overall a very reliable 4x4 but if you take it through any hectic off-road terrain like any other 4x4 you'll probably end up breaking something as it's lower profile (generally) than other, but in saying that it's more fun to drive and I've had little issues with mine after 3 years even when taking it off-road a lot so I'm pretty happy!
Hey just a heads up I've just had an ironman GVM upgrade done and i asked about changing the cross member brackets they reckon if any parts are changed or removed from the ironman GVM kit the GVM upgrade is voided, i highly doubt it would make a difference apart from a legally point of view
Yeah if you remove anything directly from the kit then yes, it would void their warranty however the cross-member I've installed here came with the car and has nothing to do with the actual performance of the Ironman kit itself so it shouldn't impose any problems.
@ExploreJimny but you removed the cross member drop brackets to fit the new cross member yeah?
Just rewatched video even the radius arms that you changed will void your GVM upgrade as you have changed from the ironman castor correction bushes supplied in the GVM kit, I know it sounds stupid and chances of being caught out for it would be next to nill but just thought ya should know 🤙
@@The_zook_shed if that’s the case I think it’s voided regardless as GVM upgrades are “technically” only installed based on stock tyres being fitted to the car (so I’ve heard) but yeah I think it could be void if someone where to go in detail but so would most of them I think 😅 drop brackets were installed as part of the GVM kit itself yes but would be hard to prove that it’s void if the brackets are not the cause of the issue and it’s let say the springs itself (if in an accident etc).
@ExploreJimny yeah I tried to get bigger tyres approved but they wanted to do lane change testing ect to much hassle I asked if it voids the GVM having bigger tyres they said no I just run the risk of a defect the only way I can void the GVM is to overload the car or change any of the GVM components
I love the Jurassic park one.
Nice work.
Awesome m9dification ... I like it ❤❤❤
Thanks so much for your video. My 26yo daughter has just taken delivery of a black 5 door, coming from an MG SUV, and wants to try 4WD and camping down here in Vic and before even seeing your video has already made a list of mods that you have done. The only thing she is unhappy about is the power, no arm rest, extra cup holders etc. As a father I want her to make the right choices so your video has helped so much thank you again and cant wait to see what mods you put on the XL
Hey! Thanks so much that's awesome to hear. Yeah the power is a bit annoying not going to lie but luckily the small things like an armrest etc is easier to purchase and of course cheaper. It's not the strongest 4wd, far from, but it performs really well off-road due to it's weight and I think it's probably going to be an excellent entry-4x4 for her if she's just getting into it! :)

Hey mate where did you get your cargo rubber mat from? Been looking for a flat one like that.
Hey! Got it off eBay, I think there's still a link to it in my bio on IG etc :)
Hey im so manifesting so im 15 and i asked my dad for one when I’m 18 and he said he would buy me another car a smaller one and when im ready he will get me the jimny and pay for all the mods so thank u for inspiring me and making killer vids ❤
Your trip is ver fascinating.
Nice
Love the full run through of your mods! Regarding your speaker upgrade, the link on your page goes to speaker bracket mounts. Did you just install these, or change out the speaker entirely? I've been thinking about upgrading the front sound system for some time but am curious your thoughts as to how far this should go (super new to sound sytem mods, sorry). Would also be keen for a video on this if you haven't yet done an install for the 5 door :)
Hey! You actually just need to replace the speaker in the front and add the bracket on, it was quite easy from memory and I was brand new to it too back then so you'll be fine just working your way through a few YT videos and have a go!
dear jimney drivers just stay in the the local carparks instead of fckn up narrow trails…
Sorry not sorry!

Sounds mint - how's the drone on longer drives/highway speeds?
Not having Crapple car play is a good thing. Crapple brand will die soon anyway. 3 door is the true jimny.
Hi, I just got my TAG towbar and it says in the instructions to cut 2 small square sections out of the bumper on my 3 dr but on your video you didn't do any cutting of the bumper. So is it correct that I don't need to cut the bumper? Great video.
Hey! You shouldn't need to cut the bumper no :)
