Ye it was only 20 spare seats on this one, and so far as of today they’ve flown over 3,500 passengers on both routes which is unreal for 8 flights a week

@ well I’m not sure but Bristol was flown between 07-09 by Ryanair and it would be the next UK destination for easyJet at LDY in my opinion! Regarding internationals Majorca and Faro dates for Summer 2025 have not been released by tour operator travel solutions, could easyJet fly these routes under there European subsidiary easyJet Europe with the OE- registrations, possibly, this is all speculation but I’d watch this space

Hopefully we see more out of Derry from the 3 Airlines.. the terminal will never handle the numbers if they did mind you lol but would be nice to see them bring back a Glasgow flight and/or maybe fly to Europe direct from Derry

@@daryld161 Loganair are still flying to Glasgow. Just checked on the airport website. It says the cheapest fare in the next week is £289 one way. At those prices, the service won't last long!

@ it only 4 weeks in February, it’s flown for Ski trips for schools, flies about 1,100 passengers the 4 weeks it’s on

@@andrewmcilwraith1997 aw thanks, and no ahahaha I count the passengers from the seat selections 2 hours before a flight on the websites I don’t zoom it to count because that would be effort 😂, especially with the larger passenger loads! And yes I think in time the Edinburgh will be more full, just today it was a monday just after the midterm aswell so not many on it, Friday this week seems much fuller which is good! Regarding our GLA, ye the planes small but we flew 15,855 on our Glasgow route last year so people still wanna go and use the route so ye we will just have to see! Thanks for subscribing 😂

@@xijiayu so ye it was empty, but it was started on a monday, not the best day, but it was the first one so not much general knowledge of the route yet, the passenger numbers for Fridays flight look a lot busier, and their adding a 3rd flight on a Thursday for December Xmas

I am interested as to how airlines gauge demand for new routes. If they've launched it they must be confident that there is some sort of demand.

@ oh there is demand! Ryanair operated Liverpool from 2006-2020 and flew up to 70,000 passengers a year on the route, Ryanair operated Edinburgh 2018-2020 and flew 75,000 a year on the route, so history shows the route has done amazing, the airport has just been recovering from massive debt and loses since covid-19
