my AP is this model cisco air-ap3802i-b-k9 factory reset and the configure terminal comand is not recognized i do not what to do i just want to config the AP with host name, DHCP just to connect to my isp then config a SSID and wifi password

I used this video in combination with one other video and got it to work on a 3702 AP. I ran into some issues after I got the file downloaded to the AP from my TFTP server, it kept booting the K9w8 image, so I ended up formatting the drive and then downloading the file to the AP again. That way since it was the only OS on the drive there was no confusion. Finally got this thing converted to an Autonomous AP. Thank you so much, this video is gold.

Hola. Tengo Putty instalado en mi LapTop. Lo he usado sin problemas para entrar a la Linea de Comandos de la Consola de un switch Catalyst WS-C2960+24TC-L. Sin embargo, he tratado de conectarme a la consola de un AP AIR-CAP3602I-A-K9 y no he podido acceder a la linea de comando. No sé cual pueda ser el problema. ¿tienes alguna idea de cual puede ser el problema? Agradeceré tu opinión.

Works, but I have to suggest something to Linux users. Use Screen instead of Putty and use a PC with a serial port built-in or a USB dongle that is on Amazon ( it will save you some headaches when connecting to the AP). Also don't forget to format 'flash:' because if you have another firmware installed that is more updated it will defaults loading the one with a higher version number.

I do have a couple of questions if you still monitor this Vid after 4 years, 1) When going from the ISP router to the Cisco Router, do Gi0/0 and Gi0/1 have to be on different networks? 2) If you don't mind me asking, where abouts in Australia are you from?

To reset a Cisco Access Point to its factory defaults using the Mode button, follow these steps: 1. Locate the Mode button on your Cisco Access Point device. It is usually a small button, often recessed, and may be labeled as "Mode" or "Config." 2. Ensure the Access Point is powered on. If it's not, connect the power adapter and turn it on. 3. Press and hold the Mode button for about 10-15 seconds. You may need a paperclip or a similar tool to press the recessed button. 4. While continuing to hold the Mode button, locate the Power button on the device. Press and hold the Power button as well. 5. Keep both buttons pressed for another 10-15 seconds. The Access Point's status LEDs will start blinking, indicating that the device is in reset mode. 6. Release both buttons simultaneously. The Access Point will now reset and reboot, restoring it to its factory defaults. 7. Once the reset process is complete, the Access Point will be configured with its default settings, and you can proceed with the initial setup and configuration process. Note: Resetting your Cisco Access Point to factory defaults will erase all current configurations and settings. Make sure you have a backup of any important information before proceeding with this process.
