Tremor Trails
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 25 มิ.ย. 2022
Ever wonder if your full size rig can handle 4x4 offroad trails? When we started testing our 2022 F150 Ford Tremor's off road capabilities, we realized there was almost no available trail info for full size off road and overland trails. We started filming trails to share trail info with other full size vehicle owners. That is how Tremor Trails was born! Since then, we have learned a ton about overland gear, gone through needed modifications as we've tackled more challenging trails and have built a couple of overland RTT camping set ups. This channel chronicles our journey. We invite you to join us!

Today's video is all about replacing our previous running boards on our 2022 F150 Tremor with RCI Rock Sliders. We've tackled 1000's of miles of trails using our stock re-enforced running boards BUT they have taken a beating! I had the RAS setup for about 30 days. I developed a squeak that I just didn't want to have on a new truck. It also raised the already high rear end too much for my liking. That being said, it helped with towing ... the truck was more predictable with less squat. Roadactive was awesome with the return after we tried to troubleshoot the squeak.
Glad you’re back! As a Tremor owner I’m always thrilled to see how you use yours.
Thank you Doc!!
This is awesome news, glad you're feeling better! Was concerned myself, great to hear your ok and ready for action!!! ❤
Thanks Brad! Happy to be back!!
I am so glad you are doing well. Health is no joke, glad you got it under control! Looking forward to seeing more new content.
Thank you! Yeah, it surprised me for sure.
Welcome back. Keep on truckin’
Thank you!
Glad you are back!! I was wondering about you over the last few Months. Keep getting well, Man, health is the most important thing
Thank you Ken!
Happy to see this video! Oddly enough, I'm heading to my doctor appointment this morning! My wife is going along so I don't get lost...lol. I've got heart "issues" as well that I'd like to fix without meds, but for now I will continue to take them. You are so right, take care of your health, because it doesn't get any easier (I'm 54), and there are so many trails to explore!!
No doubt Dave! Good to hear from ya! It's definitely been a minute.
Glad to see Your getting back out there
Thanks James! Good to hear from ya
This full size LADY says glad you’re feeling better and we are looking forward to your next adventure with your awesome Tremor!
Thank you Beth!!
Good to see you back out again. important to take care of yourself! im doing a bit of social media break myself.
I appreciate it! Nothing wrong with taking a break every now and then.
So glad to hear that you have your health under control. I was in the "put it off it's probably nothing" camp as well and it was most certainly "something", so I respect that you overcame the urge to just put up with it and get on with it. I'm only recently a subscriber and have loved the videos. I'm glad there will be a future for the channel. I've just recently acquired a 2019 F150 Lariat with my favorite Coyote engine (Back in the day I bought a brand new 2014 5.0 F150 King Ranch for my wife, and she loves that truck!). I'm going to start slowly fitting the Lariat out to get it where I need it to be for some trails out West. I need to get back there after my first trip in May 2024. I had a blast relearning my landscape photography skills. Your videos, and those of some other channels here on YT, have been inspiring, educational and a lot of fun. So, thank you for what you've done and what you plan to do. Take the time to heal. And if our paths should cross somewhere on a near-deserted "unimproved" road someday, I'll say G'Day and tip my hat. Perhaps a Tremor Trails ball cap! 😉😉 Thank you
@JGNoPlanetB Thank you so much and welcome! Hope to meet you out there one day as well!
Let’s get some Halo coil over giveaways going
@TH-camuser1aa I agree. We need to bug Halolifts!
So glad you are doing well and your adventures with the Tremor were missed! As you are doing...take care of yourself and we'll be waiting to watch!
Man, thanks so much! The Tremor definitely needs to get dirty again!
I was about to send Jason down there to look for you!!!!! Glad you're healing!!!
@@Montana_Outdoor_Adventures ha!! It would be good to see him!
Good to hear you'll be back and great to hear your on your way back to healthy! 🖖💪
Thank you Vernon! Definitely missed you guys and getting out on trails.
Someone say full size guy? Good to hear you're back on track.
Thanks Yeti! We still need to hook up some time and hit a trail.
It’s good to hear you got your health back on track!! It’s also good to hear that the channel will be back up! Take care of yourselves & I’ll be looking forward to your next video!!
@@ron4843 Thanks! I appreciate you!
The side roads off of the grey's river used to be my highschool party spot. I would recommend going to Murphy lake while you're up there if you ever go back. Edit I'm at the part of the video where you go up the Murphy lake road so disregard lol
What bed are you using?
Exped deluxe.
Kind of late to seeing this. On Saturday, got permits for Murphy A and Labyrinth A for early June. This, after canceling 2022 trip where I actually had White Crack and Labyrinth A. Crazy to think that I was 45 minutes late on Saturday, and ALL of the White Crack permits through the month were taken. I should have gone sooner! Awesome video!
@@DannyW-uz5kl Murphy rocks! Pack bug spray for labyrinth just in case. It's an incredibly beautiful trail!
@@TremorTrails Always! We live in Nashville, so the bugs try to feast on us. Thank you.
Continental US is amazingly diverse and could take a life time to thoroughly explore all of its hidden treasures. Thank you for sharing your discoveries with us. Keep that Tremor and those cameras rolling.
great video piece my man. very informative .
@@texassportzman thanks!

Full screen available yet on the MagicBox?
I still haven't had luck on my 22. I've seen several guys have full screen on newer Fords. I'm not sure if it's a better box or Ford software. I was super bummed when my update didn't change it.
Thank you. I have a ‘24 and it only gives you full screen on Apple Car Play - iTunes, Waze and etc. I could see it possibly working or not lol.
Great vids, ran across your videos for an upcoming cross country road trip, leaving the truck home and taking my 3 boys in the 2wd transit van (lift, tires and a winch) so knowing what roads are doable is a definite help. Thanks
Awesome! Yall have fun! Thanks for checking out the videos!
Could a Raptor do this trail? or would it be too wide?
Nah, you'd be good! Go check it out it's incredible!
What do you think about a mostly stock GMC 4 door Duromax truck? Looking at coming out in March of '25. Great video.
Just take it slow in a few spots you'll be fine! Enjoy!!
Would the Fox 2.0 suspension that Roush puts on their F150s work just as good? I know their stock tires are 305/55r20
Depends on how you use your truck. The Fox are OK for light off road. The Halolifts is built for longevity more abuse and better ride off road.
You are so correct! All of us need to stay on the trail. Thank you!
its been months since your last video. Im hoping Your OK .
Love seeing good f150 content!!
Hi guys. New to 4x4 trucks. I have a 2022 Tremor with the 402a trim. Do the lockers automatically come on when in 4h a d 4l? Even though I don't push the locker button they do lock.
Yeah they come on auto in certain modes. Just turn em off unless you really need them.
Maybe instead of talking about it we could see it in action a few times
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us, they make you wonder and imagine "what if I...?" You're good at stirring up 'the hidden explorer' in us. On a side note it's great to see the Tremor selfies...and the scenery as well. Keep the Tremor and those cameras rolling!
@lewisrountreeiii2937 thanks Lewis!
Thank you for making and posting this video. I have studied the Transcontinental Railroad for over 70 years, and always wanted to "go out west" and see it myself. That will never happen because I am now too old to make the trip. You have brought me joy by letting me see that old railroad grade. THANK YOU, SIR !
@pravoslavn thanks for watching! So glad you could see some of it.
Im gonna go check out the f14. Do you have the lat long coords its tough to break out on google maps.
Never mind in found it there's a f4 crash right by it too but i don't know iw which one is which yet until I go see them
Awesome! Didn't know there was an F4 over there.
Hi TT. Great vid. I've some questions because I'm planning a trip this time next year... 1) Did you pressure down at all? I've there's the odd spike left in the road surface; 2) What month did you do the trip; and 3) Any difficulties getting past traffic heading west? Ta.
I always air down off road. Mainly for the ride. This is a super easy trail, so that's up to your personal preference. Nope, nothing on the old grade. All the steel was recycled for ww2 I think we did this trail early summer. It was hot but not crazy. I would personally avoid in the dead of summer. We literally didn't encounter another soul out there. Traffic should be light to nothing.
Thanks. What pressure for a road like that? Also, thanks for your content!@@TremorTrails
I feel the cloudy day helped to add depth to the structures. Will be putting on the must do list. Safe travels.
Head up antelope canyon and over the pass to copper basin. There are so many awesome trails in the lost river valley
@@mikewanstrom444 appreciate it! I'm so ready to get back out there and explore some more. I have a few friends who live in Salmon and have always loved the whole dang state!
Great video, hope to do the entire trail at some point. I didn’t plan ahead, so just got a day of permit which didn’t allow me to camp. Technically to get the permit you are stating you have a 4x4. I recall a sign once you come down the switch backs that states 4x4 required.
@leenestle it's an incredible trail no doubt!
Well, I’ve been over that pass in snow storm! Granted it was in July but all the same it an easy and fun road.
If a factory equipped feature is going to mess up your rear end or anything else...Then Ford better make it right if it does mess something up or they better be ready for some law suits. Unless they have some kind of iron clad waiver of responsibility hidden somewhere. The more gimmicks these manufactures come up with the more responsibility they will have to shoulder. But, personally, I like the feature... however, I wouldn't be using it that often and worry about it hurting a damn thing.
thanks! specially for the etiquette part
Thanks for checking it out!
it sure would have been nice to see the wedge itself in this video. A demonstration of the opening process would have been useful too. Otherwise very informative. TY
