Yeah, Warhammer has been pretty dope. Reading this 3rd Horus Heresy right now and it’s off to the races. Highly recommend those first 3. I’m looking forward to it! Coming up next!

I have some pretty high hopes. Going to be starting Hanuvar very soon once I’m finished with my current read. Hopefully I’ll be caught up with the series by the time the 3rd book rolls around.

I’ll have to look into that one. Thanks for the rec! I can tell Dan Abnette has some awesome talent. That first book rocked and I liked it more than the 2nd (Graham McNeil). I do like the way the writing styles do seem pretty indifferent for the most part (so far) but Abnett was better imo.

@@TheDragonbornReviewer You really can't go wrong with Abnett's entries in the series. Legion is another good one. ...I guess I will qualify my first statement by saying while Abnett is very good, I did find The Siege of Terra series a bit long in the tooth by the end. The End and The Death volumes did feel a bit bloated to me. I don't think that's so much a comment on him and more so that the task of closing a 60+ book series was always going to be impossible to land perfectly.

@baltar2006 I’m generally looking forward to the Siege of Terra stuff more than anything. I can see how this one section of the series being 10 books long could overstay its welcome.

@@TheDragonbornReviewer The whole 'trilogy' of The First Heretic -> Know No Fear -> Betrayer are all really good. Betrayer is my personal favourite but they're definitely best read in that order.

Angron and the World Eaters are dope for sure. I’m going to be honest, when I was first introduced, they were the ones I was going to devote a lot of reading towards. It was between them and the Blood Angels but I ultimately ended up with Dark Angels because I really dig Lion El’Jonson.

Yeah, for sure. The thing is, I like some sort of structure so that’s why I’m just going to go month-by-month and plan what to read like that instead of planning for large periods of time.

I’m looking forward to Malazan. Whenever I roll around to that one, I’ll definitely have to do something special on the channel. 🤘🏻

I really want to check out Iggulden’s War of the Roses series because that specific subject has always interested me. That’s another by him that’s on my list. I’ll be honest, I picked up Dark Matter this morning and I’m already a quarter through it. It’s been pretty good.

Hell yeah, dude. Much appreciate the feedback on that. I’m excited to branch out in the next couple of years. I can’t say that I’ll be getting to those this year just because my schedule is already so packed with things I planned to read. Both “Memory, Sorrow, and Torn” and “The Burning” are decently high priority though. I’m most excited for Evan Winter’s stuff because of that fast-paced revenge story aspect.

It’s pretty great. I’m glad I’m able to positively influence someone I love with some great reading material. It’s a fun experience for sure.

That’s why I definitely feel like each book has something unique to caters to different specific tastes, but are almost equally as good. I really loved Morning Star too, and that ending blew me away.

I definitely feel that. About to start WOR tomorrow, but I’m itching to continue Red Rising and start Suneater. Too many good books out rn.

Absolutely! Just started book 3 earlier today and it’s already amazing. Probably going to take a break from Red Rising after Morning Star to read something else before hopping into the 2nd series. Absolutely loving the series though.

I simply can’t understand, the next three are even better! Puerce is such a mature author and thinker, and he took the story to whole other level, simply mind blowing

Yeah, I definitely feel like a bit of an outlier with the Secret Projects with Yumi being my least favorite so far, and Frugal Wizard as my favorite. One of the things I love about the Secret Projects is that they are all so different from each other so everyone’s rankings of the 4 books are a little bit different.

About 12-ish% of the way through it so far. Definitely has a bit of a darker tone. Interested to see what happens next.

It be like that. Plans inevitably change but any of those series would be awesome additions. I’m interested in your thoughts when you finish Mistborn. Believe it or not, I haven’t watched a lot of people talk about it.

Red rising is good and there short books. I would just read the first 3 and then take a break bc the first 3 and short, incredible and a complete story. This is what I did probably won’t continue with red rising till book 7 atleast has a release date

WOR has been the one I’ve been looking forward to forever now. I just hear so many great things about it compared to TWOK, not that TWOK is a bad book by any means. But I feel you on trying to fit them in. They are a titanic time commitment for sure.

It was definitely supposed to be a type of video I did more often but I wasn’t making enough consistent progress with it. I might have some things to talk about soon though.
