The real fall of the yugo was their dealings with fiat, what garbage, they made GM and dodge look good till dodge wound up owned by fiat that is lol. But lets face it, yugo of then is a far cry much better of a reliable product than any company produces these days, especially EVs and tesla lol, I'd pay a new car price for the yugo before I'd take a tesla for free.

Yugo is one of the first city crossovers. Only that it was not noticed at the time of his appearance. And anyone who has driven the Yugo off-road knows what I'm talking about and its abilities in the snow are excellent.

As one who KNOWS: The early Yugos were really atrocious on quality. Many recalls, things broke, and wore out very quickly. These cars, even regularly serviced, and meticulously maintained, just were not built for American driving. This was purely a city car made for short trips. Many had worn out engines, transmissions, and front ends, long before 40,000 miles. Everything seemed to wear out at once. LATER cars were far better on quality. But by that time, damage to the company’s reputation was already fatal. When new, it drove nicely, and it wasn’t a bad looking car. 🚗🙂
