    Hi, i think it' too acidic! the peat moss is acidic plus coffee grounds. I'd suggest you add crushed/pulverized egg/oyster shells, that will balance the PH and they need it for grit anyways, since they have no teeth to chew with :D

    • @CannonBottomCreations
      @CannonBottomCreations 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for the input. Another good food source is laying mash chicken feed. It’s basically like eggshells, but is small enough for the worms to eat.

    I read in national geographic that wormms didn't exist in north america until 1615. The Jamestown colony brought it with tobacco plants from Malaysia 😮. It changed it ecologically almost overnight. Amazing that a little thing like a worm could do that much 👍

      Newspaper combined with coffee grounds works well for worms. News print is one of the most organic materials around. Worms love crushed egg shells too. It gives grit to their gut for digestion.

    I wonder if you could save on fire wood if you put the exhaust into the firebox,

    • @CannonBottomCreations
      @CannonBottomCreations หลายเดือนก่อน

      We have it set up to where the pygas exhaust runs into the fire box. When we were cooking this batch of charcoal, there was a lot of water in the logs, so it took longer to cook and the pygas wouldn’t burn continuously. However, in our newer batches, we have been using the exhaust to burn the firebox
