I WANT MORE MILESTONE
Excellent issue so many deep cuts but joe is staying true to milestones vision
Lot 91048 heritage auctions Lion Man.
Great series, I picked up mine this past weekend. I was so glad that my comic store owner automatically put it in my pull. I also enjoy these q&a's with the writer Joe almost like a game recap on ESPN. Keep up the great work.
Dope
Denzel Washington is the best 21st century actor. I'm glad he is retiring with dignity.
Joe really is in his element with Milestone. This series has easily became my most anticipated book every month. The mood of the book and the characters are top notch.
Great interview. Lots of information without heavy spoilers. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice work 😎✌️ thanks
Thanks!
I guess I finally understand the 4chan echo chamber and their belly aching and whining… A bootycall with the wolverine was unexpected…
How about “Lightning Squad” or “The school of Pierce Lightning or SPL”. Just checked the live chat and like the “Shango Society”. Lightning League could work.
What a great interview. Wonderful GL story. That's all I want now.
A wonderful conversation in a wonderful space. Well done Black Comic Lords. And kudos to Brandon Thomas . You've earned the trust of the fandom.
Storm needs a Vibranium , vibrating stiletto blade that can penetrate weak point in Adamantium armor of Wolverine and Iron Man 🧍♂️ armor
He’s such a thoughtful 🤔 writer ✍️, loving this guy!
Wolverine… come on man
Great job Rich! Well said. 👊🏾
I also notice that when they race swap a white character, they also make the swaps "big up" their sexuality. IYKYK...
That quote from the Wire was very apropos. I'm a super novice compared to you brothers but I'm definitely appreciating and enjoying the content.
If you want black superhero love you gotta go independent. We aint getting that with mainsteam black characters.
Storm is a black character but she's never been so pro-black that she's anti-white. Truth, the X-Men have been known to always get with other teammates. She's dated Forge, Bishop and Nightcrawler too. Teammates (mutants) that are ostracized who come together to defend the world and save humanity time after time tend to become intertwined. She's a mutant that happens to be black. Storm and Logan are great characters with an amazing history together along with the X-Men. I have zero problems with her and Logan.
When did she date the time traveler??
@@lg6400 Storm ⛈️ is anti-racist/anti-colonialist/ anti-Capitalist /anti-imperialist/ anti-misogynist/anti-Fascist/anti-humanchauvanist, PERIOD! Anyone unable to portray this is doing the character a disservice, in my opinion
I forgot anti-homophobic
If you’re a self respecting Black person you gotta understand we don’t have no time to “WAIT” any longer. The time is NOW! Especially with everything being quote on quote “Woke” these days. We need to make an impact NOW, no more of this waiting crap. Dwayne McDuffie didn’t wait, he said “No we need representation now, so put John in place of Hal” for the animated JL show. He said “Aye let’s get Static Shock going”…THE TIME IS NOW! Forget all this waiting!
Then it sounds like you need to get to writing and contribute something to the lore....
He knew about storytelling too. Do you?
love this comic series. the storm and wolverine moment was very well written.
2:13:39 that’s a really good point i didn’t realize reading it how nonsensical a choice it is… leave Logan, leave home, and threaten your life with that one powerless day left when she could have so easily told the bird Eh let’s raincheck. Hadn’t even thought about her being depressed… Goddess is messed up for sure!! 😭
Don’t let this angle fool you. It’s a sorry excuse to run with, and it still don’t make sense because she could easily go to ANYONE ELSE like oh…idk CRAIGE or T’Challa to confide in. In this book and how it’s written, Storm just wanted to be slutted out and used Wolverine to do so. When you pay attention to how it’s written that’s exactly what it is. Storm is suppose to be above actions like this, T’Challa and Storm are the quintessential black excellence of all comics. MEANING they spit in the face of negative tropes and stereotypes of the Blk community “others” have tried to paint us as for centuries. Do not fall for this.
@@Nytellemcalling her a slut is crazy. black panther fans are so salty for what
@@Nytellem There’s a reason she confides in Logan though. Like Murewa said, Logan is THE ONLY one who hasn’t broken Ororo’s heart. So he is special to her. She didn’t use Logan to “slut out” which is simply not true. Logan and Storm have FwB terms but they obviously deeply care for one another. Maybe she slept with him because she actually missed him. But that’s the problem right there with y’all Black Panther fans. Y’all Black Panther fans are literally getting on my last nerve. I like Black Panther too but dang. And y’all keep slut shaming Storm because she’s not with your precious King T’Challa. That’s not a Storm fan if you ask me. It’s okay to have your own opinions about who Ororo should “end up with” but to sit there disrespecting the writer and the Storm character is irritating and unnecessary.
@@Nytellem IMO when it come down to endgame, Storm definitely belongs with Logan. They have a connection that she and T’Challa just don’t have. I’m not saying she doesn’t care for T’Challa in a way but that romance between them seems over to me. It’s been proven in several comic’s already the way she sees T’Challa now. That’s why there were scenes of Logan and Ororo looking so deeply at each other before their love scene even started. It’s signified that there’s something indeed between them, but no one knows what it is yet. I’m black and I just don’t feel Storm and T’Challa. That relationship was horrible and the way he treated her was horrible. And Storm’s character was diminished greatly. With Logan, Storm can be free and be herself and vice versa with him. Their dynamic is nothing new and it’s been happening for years. They just fit. I’ll forever be a RoLo (Ororo/Logan) fan😝🤞🏾
@arielnicoleee Yep, for real, the misogynoir really jumped out within some of these comments I'm reading. There's no reason to be calling Storm (or any other female characters) derogatory terms just because they are written in a pairing/ship they don't like.
Love this commentary, especially because these amazing comics are too short!! Murewa has really done his research and it’s awesome to see the payoff.

@impoundcomics
Came back to finish the rest, just simply can’t support buffoonery and gimmick to sale comics.
1:28:40 coming from someone who was indifferent with this before watching after hearing murewa explain I completely understand why he had them hookup, this isn’t endgame is just people being people we know how this ends but the characters don’t,& she doesn’t have to sleep with someone of equal stature,if we being honest she hasn’t yet.🤷🏿♂️ and I think holding her to that standard and being disappointed when it isn’t met kinda shows sprinkles of misogyny imo.
I agree 👍. To be honest, while I do support the idea of Storm & Wolverine in a romantic relationship and I love that Murewa was brave enough to include it in the comic; BUT even I can tell that this was only a short hookup to establish some emotional drama to the story and be an element to explore more of Storm's character. And I was really disappointed that so many people are questioning Murewa's writing skill and complaining about this issue, as if the quality of the Storm solo is somehow dependent on who she sleeps with.....? Like, naw, Storm's journey is only beginning, and there's time for new developments to happen in the future.
@@amorra6024 his writting is mediocre
@@LondiebuggI disagree! I love the angle that he took with Ororo and Logan. I know now isn’t the time but I think they’ll end up together eventually. I love that they revisited Logan and Ororo’s relationship!🤍
@@amorra6024 Right!!👏🏾👏🏾
@@StormTheeOmega No one ☝🏾 can judge what’s “ equal 🟰 status” for Storm ☔️ but herself. I don’t see her as an elitist, because she’s lived the life of a street urchin, orphan in Cairo and survived! W’ dark skin , blue eyes 👀 and white hair, as a girl!!( no small feat, I’ve been there)
The sex scene was fine between Logan and Ororo, but I would have preferred much more to see her with T'Challa or Craig.
This man took the most ironic Black female comic character to exist, stuck her on the ground in the rain to take it raw by the team peen and is telling us to trust him and trust the process? Does the word trust have a different meaning in Nigeria?
She didn’t have to sleep with anyone on the 3rd issue.
Watching now and reading the live chat, and this is really disappointing. Leaning into sexism and homophobia to make a point about racism isn't the flex some of these so-called fans seem to believe it to be.
@@someguy024 yes forreal!👏🏾👏🏾 like let this woman date who she wants! She ain’t married to T’Challa no more and doesn’t owe him anything.
Gonna be hard to move forward with this book after that wolverine scene I must admit😮
Oh please 🙄. It was a one time thing. Stop it. Wanna be for the “cause” and then try to hurt the cause of marvel finally really pushing another black character? It’s not Murewa’s fault T’Challa is and has been tied up with editorial before his book and during it. As for Craig he explained why he didn’t use him yet. But that story is coming in the book as well now that we know his fate.
@@Worldofantoine one time thing huh, oh ok
Always somebody trying to preach!!,thinking they know it all
@@williamfagan5355I mean he quite literally does know?
Watch they have storm sleeping with Scott next, dr doom, fantastic 4, iron man, Thor.
T’Challa could have learned at least a couple of alien patois while he was living in the Intergalactic Wakandan Empire. I NEVER studied for my French class (because the Krio that my parents speak at home is a mix of Yoruba, Arabic, French, and English). For me, it was like studying for English class!
Dope break down!
