From 1960 nagsimula ang group band sa Pilipinas at nahikayat ang mga american sa singing group band ng pinoy , at nagsimula ang mga american pasokin ang Pilipinas ng singing at over the world. Ang korea nagsimula sila ng group band 2007 or 2008. Yung girl group ng korea impluwensiya ng sexbomb group.

The best thing mentioned here is the difference between kpop & ppop. The lyrics and raw vocal talents set p-pop apart from k-pop as Filipinos are known to be “vocal monsters” around the world. The rest of all the characteristics of a K-pop & P-pop are very similar, not necessarily the same.

Before you look at the worldwide, look at the Philippines' neighbor countries. Aim for Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam to start listening to PPOP first. That's the first step of Ppop globalization. If the neighboring countries are not listening to PPOP, globalization of PPOP is a long way off.

Very Simple KPop is more on production and recorded talents not saying all but MORE of it PPop more on RAW TALENTS like live vocals unique type of music emerge

Ppop artists prioritise live singing and rely less on auto tune. Just watch SB19 performance and songs, you can already distinguish the difference Ppop and kpop artists. Plus Mic On and less or almost zero backtrack

KPop is all about lip-synching, while PPop is real live vocals.

P-pop has never made the Billboard Top 100. No group has succeeded yet. There is no proof that it is popular. It is very arrogant. Music is both an art and a business. PPop is still a long way off. K-pop recruits members in many countries. There is no such market for P-pop. We need to see things more level-headedly

Sorry to correct you. Ppop is derieved from American Pop, Kpop, and OPM or Original Pilipino Music. That is why all groups use English and Filipino language and other Filipino dialects in their songs. Before there is Kpop, Filipinos are very much into American or Western music which up until now we still do together with Ppop and Kpop. You can see it with the number of random Filipinos singing covers of songs of American or Western artists.

I dont know where you got the idea that K-pop and Ppop are the same.Your analysis are wrong…Ppop are they in the decade but they are so much rising now…For example SB19 King Ppop are versatile with their talent.They make their own music like ballad, r&b. They can also rap..They make their own style of dancing and clothes are amazing.Oh before i forgot their music are Pilipino and English…One of the member in SB19 are CEO of his fashion clothes …So I would say K-pop and Ppop there are no comparison espeacially when it comes to SB19.

probably some ppop groups are most of those eg kpop wannabes but not all, definitely not sb19 and alamat and a few others who are striving to develop their music deriving inspiration from.phil culture and heritage

I think Ppop sings different genre like ballad,rnb,pop ,pop rock with some mix music while k-pop seems to have focus only on pop and some Rnb music i havent seen kpop sings ballad music...and i think it is reverse Ppop base on music they are more influence on western music cuz most of the foreign reactors amazed with Ppop when it comes to similarities of western music like backstreet boys westlife etc. who sings ballad and mellow songs where i havent seen it to kpop music...only my observation

You did help a little. Ppop is more on western influence because it is easy for them to sing in english while korean or japanese songs have only a tiny bit of english and mostly none.

I find this comparison as nonsense. Is Kpop better than Ppop? It depends on the listener. Its worth mentioning that Ppop trace its roots from OPM, which has its origins from the Kundiman ballads in the colonial time period. These are serenade songs performed by an individual, or a group of singer(s) + musician(s) -- band. Eventually this became a lucrative profession and OPM boy bands came out in the 60s. Other bands offering the american genre also came about much earlier. Thus Ppop has a long beautiful history which is different from Kpop.

philippines pop are not imitating and copy cat, ,pilipinos are know worldwide of dancing and singing, ,only that SB19are the only group who are versatile and all rounder, , by dancing while live singing

PPop genre for me is a very Vocally Heavy and Demanding genre with witty or emotional meaningful lyrics. PPop groups need to do better live and must have strong vocals because Filipinos expect Filipino singers to have very strong vocals and we must hear them live. We are more unforgiving to non-Filipino singers or even Filipino Actress/Actors. PPop groups need to do multiple genre, esp they have to be able to do hiphop and ballad, because Filipinos love those two genres. Filipinos love rock music also, but we have a lot of groups for that, who are not considered PPop. Thus, you can hear pop groups incorporating a hint of rock or with rock voices.

PPOP especially SB19 doesn't get any support from the government nor from Philippine music industry. They were actually belittled by the music industry and frown upon by OPM artist. SB19 rise on their own without the help of Philippine Entertainment Industry, but from their hardwork and the support of A'tin!

PPop are a multilingual artists/ singer who can easily sing any Countries language,very flexible tongue unlike people they can't sing that easily they have to study hard and longer time,Ppop doesn't need too much high-tech and can sing impromptu, Acapella or live anywhere, adaptive and adjustable ,don't need to much bodyguards,and not snobbish ,they are so humble kind ,adorable and approachable,best trait being hospitable❤❤❤❤❤
