I second this. With the right combo of steps to get moving I find the Prawn almost as fast as the Seamoth. Definitely not as maneuverable (and I have no idea how extra challenging it would be on a Switch) but getting around with it isn't an issue at all when kitted out.

@@AndyRaffle I’m definitely committed to the fully blind playthrough! I of course also get frustrated but I will always do my best to work through it and persist.

Totally agree, and at this stage I’m most of the way through the game so… I would say I quickly realised bit by bit that it’s more anxiety and a kind of anticipation terror. In hindsight, I’m glad the “horror” tag on Steam actually prepared me for the worst! (In a way)

I made that comment on another playthrough about finding spiral plants in BZ, and it got deleted, so I'm doubly glad that Rebecca made the rules incredibly clear here. Subnautica playthroughs are notorious for back-seating.

@ Yes they are. Because there is so much tiny bits of information that can help a lot. Not only that but you can also do so much and feel like your doing so much and still barely progress the story. Which is a great thing. You can never finish the story and not feel like you have missed out on much.

These extreme rules have made the watching experience extremely painful and i find myself skipping large amounts of gameplay. But it is a very unique experience and part of the reason i have stayed and enjoyed this series so much. Instead of small particular things being looking for the reaction it's just everything and it's been a very refreshing experience. And such a smooth lovely voice certainly goes a long way too. It's nice to see someone enjoying every single aspect of the game and doing things i'm not use to seeing. It's been a absolute joy to watch. Even if this series is already getting close to my total game play time through multiple saves and all the time messing around while the game was in alpha and before full release haha.

I’m playing this one on Switch which may well be the reason, the Lets Play has already had quite a few glitches and critical errors so I will likely do future blind Subnautica playthroughs on PC and see how it goes. It has at least created some drama!

@RebeccasPixelQuest Haaa... I first played Subnautica on the Switch tooooo.... twas bit hesitant to admit... given the vagueness of 'controler'.... but yeah.... I know a Switch Subnautica glitch when I see one..... dramatic for sure.... maaaaannnnn I lost so much dang titanium cuz I died when was clipped through the map and all the stuff fell through.... actually, I don't think I even drowned out of bounds... I think the stuff might have just phased through the map on its own before I could get to it.... if my recall is accurate -anyways thanks for responding. always brightens my day! ɷ◡ɷ
