But sometimes situations in personal and professional life are so hectic that we wanted to take decision but unable to take due to family pressure. This will also affect career graph in bad manner, if I try maintain problems and career simultaneously. Example of this could be personal factors and problems created during and after Covid situation, own or family medical issues. Please guide.

Sub: Schindler lifts service levels and disappointing performance in the recent months Dear Ashwini, Kishna, Vishal Avhad and the entire Schindler team, This is with utmost disappointment with your service that we are writing this letter to you. This concerns one lift in Block 1 that is down for more than one month, one lift in Block 12 that is down for past five days, one lift in Block 4 down for past three days and one lift in Block 13 that suffered Mantrap three times in one day (yesterday). Block 1 lift down since April 14 till date, as gear box failed. We paid you Rs 2.5 lacs for a new gear box, in protest, stating that the lift was under Diamond contract when the gear box failed and other reasons as given in our email. Apparently you brought supposedly ‘new’ gear box, but it didn’t work. Then you got a reconditioned gear box: that too didn’t work. The lift is still not in running condition. Please let us know reasons why we should not recover the amount of Rs 2.5 lacs from you. In addition, Schindler charged us AMC amount in full even though the lift in Block 1 did not work for more than three months. Lift did not work, no maintenance is work done, no resident used the lift, but still AMC charges invoiced in full. Please let us know the reasons why we should not deduct an appropriate amount from the AMC for the lift that did not work. Please also give reasons why we should not add a penal amount for your failure to maintain the lift for such a long and extended time, and causing discomfort to the residents of Block 1. Last month, one lift in Block 12 lift was kept down by the Schindler team for an extended time stating AMC is not signed. This month, the lift is down from 19th till date - five days already - because of some bureaucratic procedures in your organization. Part is available in your Hyderabad office, but bureaucracy is allowed to prevail over customer service to Hill Ridge Springs. We believe this is allowed to happen because there Service levels are not defined in the AMC and no penalty clause exists in the AMC. We therefore propose that we revise the AMC terms to include SLA and penalty clauses. And this letter may please be acknowledged as a notice to revise the AMC. The story of lift of Block 4 reinforces the need to revise AMC. One lift in Block 4 is down since 21st June (four days already) owning again to bureaucracy riding over customer service: part is available in Hyderabad but it was not considered important to bring it to Hill Ridge Springs and bring the lift to running condition. We reiterate that lack of SLA in AMC is the cause of lack of motivation for Schindler team to perform. Lastly, performance of Schindler maintenance can be seen in Block 13: one lift suffered Mantrap three times a day. Root cause not known to Schindler team. Lift is allowed to continue operating with an unknown defect. This makes us wonder if Schindler team is motivated at all to maintain the lifts of Hill Ridge Springs. If so, we need to look at alternatives. We have the information that the lifts installed in Ella hotel are now working in a much better way than the lifts in Hill Ridge Springs. We wish to know the reasons. In summary, this is a letter reflecting the disappointment by the residents with Schindler team maintaining our lifts in Blocks 1, 4, 12 and 13. We also indicated why Rs 2.5 lacs should be returned, AMC amount be deducted, penalty imposed and terms of AMC revised to include SLA. We request a response to this letter from your business head or any higher official of Schindler, and not from any member of your field team. With regards, Secretary

Why can't companies let employees choose their preference? I'm completely ok with having less salary by working from home compared to those who work from office daily (too bad the company I work for can't understand this). With my current job desc it's completely possible to do the work at home. Commuting to the office & back home feels terrrible because of horrible traffic.

Everyone is at peace when working frok home. There is no awareness of any internal politics that might be going on, plus the added advantage of reduced travelling time. Yes there are some miscreants who take disadvantage of this, but they can always be called to the office. Hybrid is good if the days are not fixed and enforced.

I've learned from my mistakes at work, but it doesn't mean I'm gonna forgive myself for them. I have reason to believe that my ASD makes me stand out and makes others perceive me a certain way. Do you know how often I said dumb things, like at work? I stupidly mentioned a man’s right to hit a woman for self-defense, and a new coworker proposed a new topic. And I know she doesn’t like me, because when I was casually chatting with a baker while waiting for the desserts, she entered and said “harassing the baker, John?” I asked why she thought that, and she said “Because you’re John.” Or how about the time I told a coworker (whom I didn’t think would resent this, since he’s clownish, snuck up on a guy, and once made a weight joke to him) “put a sock in your àss. I mean mouth.” Shockingly, he actually did resent that and told me I can’t speak to him that way. I didn’t intend harm; he had interrupted a question of mine to another worker to, if I remember correctly, playfully diss me. I guess I was annoyed with the clownish interruption, but I didn’t mean for it to be obvious. But when it was, I approached him and apologized. But he replied unfairly: “you’re good, man. You just need to learn how to speak to people.” Way to make an apologetic person who already feels bad feel worse, hypocrite A jocular dick giving me the lecture feels worse. In fact, he's actually quite popular and well-liked at work. I've seen him have fun and get along so well with my coworkers, while acting like I don't exist at all. We pass each other in the hall or wherever, and he doesn't speak to me. Of course, I'll admit that I started the silence, since his hypocritical rudeness that one time, but I don't know for sure if he's giving me the silent treatment or anything. Either way, I'd say I'm not on his "good buds to joke with" list. I know he likes my coworkers better than me. Just the concept of being ignored hurts, and it doesn't help when they show admiration for the guy whom I think is obnoxious. And that's not the worst part. I was taken to my boss's office with her and a high-ranking chef. The chef told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much. Not THAT type of touch, of course not! Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. I was always very outgoing at work. When I asked her if anyone reported a complaint, she said it didn't matter (so I guess yes). She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment; that I pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school (we're a university's catering service). That I shouldn't tell my stories because they may be inappropriate to my coworkers. Now yeah, I pretty much don't have a filter, and sometimes I guess I do say "inappropriate" stuff at work, but not _horribly nor intentionally._ I just like to joke around and have fun with people. I really didn't get specific information from the chef about what and who. She understands/ likes that I'm outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits, for good behavior and my coworkers' sake. And again, that I shouldn't touch their shoulders or arms without consent. But seriously, I'm not a creep or Joe Biden. I didn't mean to be so "handsy." I'm so embarrassed about the lecture. Have I really gone that far at work? I already hate being on the spectrum, and sometimes I actually hate myself.
