TOP 3 - BLUES COVER SONGS (special guest, Katie Stewart)
I had the biggest crush on Phoebe Cates she was a knockout in that movie the same as Gremlins but she did not wear a Bikini in that movie
Dash Rip Rock, Truckadelic and about anybody playing at the Star Bar or Dottie’s in Atlanta on any given Friday Night in the mid 90s
Andy Taylor did his own thing also. I think it was always meant to be a Phil Collins Genesis, Mike Rutherford, Mike and the Mechanics Peter Gabriel kind of thing were we pop in, we pop out
They were great but not a supergroup
The two guys are drunk.
That solo was a nice touch!
Great song🎉
Mother’s Finest was a kick ass band especially live. I saw them 2 or 3 times. I had 2 of there albums that grew legs . I thought everyone knew about MF’s.
Black Oak Arkansas , Bloodrock , Rusty Wier
Is the one dude stoned or is I just me?
@@davemiller3345 which dude?
@@intheshedd guy on the right
@chesleystephens8864 they both might be a little tuned in , by their picks in "southern rock" music.
Had to be the Traveling Wilburys. Nice vid
@@zuni1919 of course!
Damn Yankees
@@geauxtigrs that’s a good one. TS
Sorry I've been MIA on your last few posts. But I'm back with another 2000's hard rock/metal set of picks for ya'll... 3) Down: I'm honestly surprised this one didn't make the cut... Phil Anselmo- Pantera, (and a million other sideprojects) Pepper Keenan- Corrosion of Conformity Kirk Weinstein- Eyehategod, Crowbar Jimmy Bower- Eyehategod Pat Bruders- Crowbar 2) Audioslave- Rage Against the Machine with Chris Cornell from Soundgarden on vocals. Their first cd, like Troy said, is killer. 1) The Damned Things: This one is way out there and may not qualify for the "Best", but I've listened through their first album "Ironiclast" on repeat probably more than any of these other groups and I absolutely love it. Keith Buckley- Every Time I Die Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano- Anthrax Joe Trohman, Andy Hurley- Fall Out Boy *Honorable Mentions: Hellyeah: This one could have been on the list for me. Members of Mudvayne, Pantera, Nothingface. If I'm being honest, they're the only band on here that actually got better over time. Killer be Killed: Members of Mastodon, Soulfly, The Mars Volta and Dillinger Escape Plan. Super-nutty, experimental metal but still oddly accessible. Velvet Revolver: Guns N Roses with Scott Weiland on Vocals. Queens of the Stone Age "Songs for the Deaf" lineup: Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri from Kyuss, Mark Lannegan- Screaming Trees, and Dave Grohl on Drums.
I totally forgot about Down. TS
Queens is a good one. Could also put in Them Crooked Vultures.
Rossington Collins Band
How did you come back with out me knowing! I've been living off shorts damnit!
@@mattperegrine873 lol thanks for coming back.
3) Asia 2) Blind Faith 1) Temple of the Dog I had a major brain turd. Traveling Wilburys are awesome!
@@JohnSmith-pg8tv TOD are a supergroup in retrospect. They weren’t at the time. TS
Mad Season. Good one Troy! I got that one
Drivin' n Cryin'
BLACKFOOT...HANDS DOWN HARDEST ROCKIN ACT IN THEIR HEYDAY. Ricky Medlocke was a ROCKSTAR.
I guarantee you that no one in this comment section has ever heard of : Home Grown Vigilante Band ?? Northeast N.C. Southeast Va.
Their claim to fame is : PTC - Pickup Truck Country
In fact... NY likes to appear 'above it all' but... he did not have a GREEN CARD to be working in the US legally at that time. He also declined to appear on the Cavett Show that night - same issue. And had also bailed on the Johnny Carson Show appearance with B.S. in early 1968 - no Green Card. If you'll notice, GN didn't appear on Cavett, either - and he didn't have a Green Card, either. Wish it was some act of rebellion against 'selling out' or something, but... he just d/n want to be deported. That simple.
Foreigner,Styx,Heart
Sometimes selling out is also called paying the bills.
Corrosion of Conformity is NOT a southern rock band.
Depends on your definition of Southern Rock.
IMHO you guys missed it. Southern Rock existed in the seventies. By 1980 it was on the slide. You are talking about southern bands not Southern Rock.
Grinder Switch
I saw a band called 707 ( I think thats right ) open for Molly Hatchet and The Outlaws back in the 80s at the Miami Sea Stadium. I also saw Point Blank open for The Rossington - Collins band.
I love the song. He does a great song with it.
Jeff Beck wtf!
He died in 2023.
Love John Prine good job Hutch and Emily here is another cover of In spite of Ourselves th-cam.com/video/ZOZSDVkERlQ/w-d-xo.html
Chicago would probably be on my list
Reo Speedwagon, Kiss,Steely Dan
My favourite Christmas song of all time, I just play it over & over. Classic, love it.
think spelled it right
how about Mason Proffitt
It's a tradition in my house for us to listen to it at the beginning of the Christmas season
My grandmother, who didn't speak a lick of English, literally wept for him upon his passing. His voice transcended language.
He was my number 1 artist when I was a kid. His voice was like silk. My favorite is Rambling Rose
The Johnny's dudes, The Johnny's ??? What the hell is wrong with you...?
Black Oak Arkansas
THANK YOU!!! been saying this for years!
Your soo right. The greatest christmas song ever. I was stuck at traffic lights last Yr. The people in the car beside me were cracking up, I was cracking up, I cranked my window down to find, we were listening to this very song on the radio. Classic moment. I'll never forget it.
I am an Elvis fan, this year i will have a blue Christmas, my kids stopped talking to me about 1 and half year ago and my babe snd me split up after 16 years together and i am in a motel room ,but god is good, i will be alone on Christmas, i am almost 64 but it is all good
Did you know the Grinch is based on the classic (& ancient) Anglo-Saxon horrific narrative Beowulf? The monster Grendel (Grinch) watches over the Mead Hall full of warriors celebrating their victories and once they go to sleep, Grendel comes down from his perch and slaughters the warriors for rejoicing their victory.
I didn't know that. TS
I love listening to this song every Christmas season, especially because it's hilarious Christmas Gold !
Always love, when talking about Elvis, the song was actually written by.....that would be basically every song he ever sang. Also agree, I would not have that anywhere near the top. However, always love the vids! I would probably go, Bing Crosby, “White Christmas” as my number 1. Merry Christmas
Hard to argue about Bing Crosby. Maybe the biggest of all time, DG
"Mother Finest" was & Opening act Band. Black Crows were a glorified bar band.
anothern drunken video
@@llobo4332 is that against the law? TS
GOAT Christmas song!! 💙
Absolutely friend 👍👏
Wolfgut riding the coat-tails......maybe a diet before he sees his dad again sooner than he thinks, hes living off daddys life and no better than a bar band player
Whatever dude. You are a jerkoff who can’t play anything close to wolfie I am sure of that
Happy to subscribe 😊❤
Thanks, we appreciate it!
