Samsung/Google QUIETLY Hide Settings For App Notifications Categories And Advanced Sound Settings
I recently would tap and hold a notification and then tap Settings to access all the possible notification options for an app including changing the specific app notification sound. However, I recently noticed that there were now only generic notification options available when I did this and couldn't figure out how to access those options the way I did in the past.
While digging through settings for something else I noticed the option to "Manage notification categories for each app" was turned off. I expect it was defaulted this way after a recent OS update. I have seen this happen with settings after Samsung / Android OS updates, and I don't like it. If you want to add the option to turn something off that was the only option previously, fine, but don't add the option and then default it to OFF! If app or setting functionality is still available after an OS update, the default should still be the previous setting.
