Speed Up Your Editing Workflow in Premiere Pro Using Motion Graphics Templates for Lower Thirds
We all want to get out editing done faster, of course having a fast computer can help. But how often are you looking for graphics or copying from another project because you want to add something like the lower thirds in. Well using motion graphics templates can really speed that up as it will be readily accessible in your Graphics Templates window, or if you haven't upgraded to Premiere Pro 2025 in the Essential Graphics window. You can then get to them right there and you can even fill in the blanks for a different person or title.
This is great if you use the same graphics like titles and lower thirds over and over. You can also share them so that your colleagues can have the same graphics including the wonderful animations you have created.

Using the Ronin RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro Gimbals as a Remote Head
มุมมอง 96หลายเดือนก่อน
Whenever most of us pick up a gimbal we think nice smooth handheld stabilised video, and why not, it is good at it. However, I also use mine a remote camera, mainly when shooting video, but I have used it to get a remote photograph too. So the challenges are keeping it powered and also controlling it. Also make sure you secure it. I do use safety cables to be on the safe side if it is out of th...
High-frequency anti-flicker shooting with EOS R5 Mark II. Remove projector flicker shooting video
มุมมอง 232หลายเดือนก่อน
If you are like me and shoot conferences and lectures you might come across a problem with projectors and screens flicker because they are at a different frequency to the camera system. Powering Canon EOS R5 C with v-lock battery for longer run times
มุมมอง 256หลายเดือนก่อน
The R5 C is such a versatile camera and great for putting on a gimbal. The only downside I can see is the battery life. I have been caught out a number of times when the battery is running low just at the time you don't have time to change it without missing the shot. So after trying a few conigurations I now power it with a v-lock battery mounted on a nato rail. Here's what I did. You might al...
The Easy Way to Remove the Hotshoe Cover on the Canon EOS R5 Mark II
มุมมอง 1.1Kหลายเดือนก่อน

What is Shutter Angle and Do You Need to Use It?
มุมมอง 562 หลายเดือนก่อน
If seems whenever there is a new feature people feel they have to use it. Well shutter angle is not that new it has been around since cine cameras were first invented, that's when it was all done on film. The shutter angle was relevant because unlike a still camera the shutter was a spinning disc, if it was a semi circle then have of the time it was spinning the film was exposed. This is 180 de...
How to Calibrate the Ninja V
มุมมอง 1206 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Ninja V is such a useful tool for videoing. The screen is larger than on the camera which really helps. I had noticed that the colour on the camera and the Ninja V were no longer the same so time to calibrate it, something I had not done before. So here is what I did. In this video I used the following items. They are from Amazon and I am an affiliate so might get some pennies which helps m...
Using Clearscan with a Canon Cinema EOS Camera to Remove Screen Flicker
มุมมอง 1866 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is more of a problem for countries that use the PAL system, but when you are filming you can get flicker on screens and projectors. This is really annoying and most often I come across this issue when I am videoing or live streaming a conference. There are things you can do to reduce it or get rid of it. If you have a dedicated video camera then you might have a setting like on the Canon v...
Syncing time code with the Canon EOS R5 C and the Rode Wireless Pro
มุมมอง 624ปีที่แล้ว
If you use multiple cameras or record audio separately then time code is so useful for keeping everything synced together. I often shoot with multiple cameras and also like that the Rode Wireless Pro can record to the transmitters in 32 bit float audio, something I use quite a bit and has certainly helped out. Below is a link to a video I made about 32 bit float audio. Here is how to sync your ...
Just what is 32 bit float audio and does it really make recording easier
มุมมอง 318ปีที่แล้ว
Have you heard of 32 bit float audio? I hadn't until recently but got curious. I then downloaded some samples and was surprised to find that when someone was talking quietly I could lift the audio level without significantly raising the noise. I then tried a clip that was distorted and when I lowered it there was no distorting. It didn't take me long to buy one and try and not sooner had I put ...
Final Cut Pro - Scene Removal Mask - Background removal without green screen
มุมมอง 902ปีที่แล้ว
If like me you have to do green screen every now and again you know that it can be a bit time consuming both when recording and also when editing. There are also times I get asked to do green screen when I haven't brought it along. Well now in Final Cut Pro there is a new effect called scene removal mask. It is meant to do away with having to do green screen, although that still has its place. ...

Rode Wireless Go II Camera Presets

Rode have brought out an update to the Wireless Go II that adds camera presets taking the guesswork out of getting the audio setting right for your camera. Creating a Timelapse Using EOS R5, R6 and other EOS R Series Cameras
มุมมอง 334ปีที่แล้ว
There are two ways to create a timelapse with a Canon EOS R series camera. I'm using an EOS R5 here. One way is in photo mode and it take a series of photos, sometimes a lot of photos. You then have to get that in to your editing software and can be a bit clunky. It also works very differently in each application. The second way, and the way I prefer is in video mode. This then creates one file...

I find that you need to push it all the way back ( away from you ), then do like you did pulling forward while pushing the button - makes easy pease.
I like the hot shoe cover. I bought one for my R6II, stays on tight, unlike the plastic cover it shipped with.
That's a good idea.
HEY THANKS BROTHER ...I BEEN TRYING TO THINK OF THIS IDEA
That's fab. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
great video. One of the best explanation channels on TH-cam. I wish you would make a video on how to deal with the R6's overheating issues, cause i didn't find a proper explanation Video out there on how to deal with it.
Thank you so much. I finally got it off!
Useful demo - thank you. At least this cover looks as though it needs some intention to remove it, unlike the one on the R3 which just slides in and out. The downside of that is that it can come off accidentally. I lost mine without realising it had come off, I think it may have happened when carrying the camera on a sling type strap with the camera hanging down at my side. I suspect it brushed against my clothing and slid off. A small piece of equipment but not a small price to replace.
Thank you. I feel there could have been a better solution.
okay but what if it’s still not showing up
I love these videos, it doesn't get a lot of views because it's so niche (us r5c owners). But it's so practical, so thanks for making it!
This is true but still hope it helps.
The New Canon LP-E6P battery, significantly enhances the battery life of the Canon EOS R5C, offering approximately **50% more runtime** compared to the older LP-E6 and LP-E6NH batteries
Have they released an update for the battery to work in the R5 C?
holy cow it works 😀 Thanks for the tip, that darn hotshoe cover drove me nuts.
Love your response. Glad it helped.
Outstanding tip! Thanks!
Thank you. You're very welcome.
great info, thank you!
How we can connect with my phone
Great info I was struggling with this myself last night on a shoot. For the clear scan option is there an equivalent in shutter speed? Like what does the 59hz translate to in shutter speed
Is there a way to add luts to multiple clips in the editing timeline?
My question as well
@@LightsCameraKonkle same thing. Just copy the lumetri
Yes. This is what I was researching. Thanks for confirming my findings.
Can you use the Anker Powercore+ 26800 PD 45W power bank to power both the Canon r5 and and an external monitor at the same time?
I guess if your monitor can use one of the other USB 3 ports then yes, but if you are using the USB-C to power the camera then you wont have power delivery to the external monitor. Which external monitor do you have?
@@EssentialVideoSkills Ok. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Very helpful information.
No problem. It's great that you ask. It makes me explore. There is another option to use a v lock battery. I made a video about how I power my camera and `ninja V from one battery so maybe it will work for you th-cam.com/video/kxFU6ss99UA/w-d-xo.html
@@EssentialVideoSkills Wow. Funny enough I have been researching the same thing. Will have a look at your video. Good to know that I am on the right track.
THANK YOU!!!
But now… if you are using the usbc from the camera to power it, how do you connect your camera to a laptop for livestream? Remembering EOS web utility does not allow for HDMI output connection… need an answer by tomorrow would be great if you could shade some light
I would use the HDMI to a capture device like ATEM Mini Pro or one of the versions of it or a device like the Cam Link 4K for input. There are other capture devices but these are two that I use. So the other way to power your camera is to get an EOS mains adaptor or a D-tap to dummy LP-E6 to a v-lock battery. I use both of these too. If I'm on the gimbal for extended time I use the v-lock option. Hope that helps.
I have an R6 and when we charge the R6 mkii the camera instantly shutts off. When we turn it on it does not turn on.
It could be the battery is really low. If it is not I would check with Canon.
This is a very good demo showing how to turn a shotgun mic into a wireless solution. I have found another use for this is with cameras that don't have a mic input. I can use the Rode Go II mic on camera with a wireless Go II transmitter to get good audio with headphone monitoring with my Panasonic GX85. I can use the built-in audio on the camera as a scratch track. Thanks for posting!
Thank you. Glad someone else does that with the headphones, it really frees one up. I tried a Bluetooth adaptor for this but there was too much latency. I actually made a video about that too. th-cam.com/video/1jdjNHwzIZc/w-d-xo.html
thank you
I have a canon r6 mark ii. I plugged my HP laptop usb-c charger that powers my laptop into the usb-c port on my camera and my camera would not work. I could not take pictures or video. Screen says camera is on "standby". I had a HLX-E6NH battery in my camera. I then changed my battery to an LP-E6NH. Still didn't work. I live stream often on my channel and I want to start using my canon instead of my laptop camera, but I need continual power for hours and the battery just can't keep up...nor do I want to keep changing the battery in the middle of the stream. I am considering getting that power delivery bank you have from Anker, but if my camera won't work when plugged into my laptop charger...why will it work when plugged into the pd bank you have? Any thoughts on why? Any help would be great.
That is interesting. I had used my USB-C power supply from my MacBook Pro with my R6 Mark II and it was fine. Do you know someone with a different USB-C charger to check it. Maybe someone with a MacBook as I know it worked with mine. I have also used an Anker 60W USB-C charger.
Great video,thanks 👍
Tnks a lot ! Very usefull !!!
Correction: The timecode port and connector are not mini BNC. The cable connection is called Din1.0/2.3 Connector. There isn't actually a Mini BNC, but there is a Micro BNC, but that isn't what the Canon R5 C uses either. BNC are a twistito-lock connector. For the Canon R5 C the Din1.0/2.3 connector needs to be an extra long connector to prevent it from potentially getting stuck in the camera port. This is explained in the user manual.
Great tutorial. You mind sharing the pdf?
Thank you. The best thing to do is download from the link in the app, as shown, as that will have the latest settings and information.
Can GAN chargers be used in a similar way?
Good question. As far as I can tell as long as it has power delivery (PD) then yes.
Thanks for the informative camera specific video! When you go in the phone App to turn off the time code on the RX I notice the warning says that this will turn off the embedded time code on the TX. I that warning inaccurate or perhaps only if you power the TX off? My unit is arriving tomorrow. Thanks!
I have recorded a few videos with this recommended settings, but the sound is too low when editing. So how can they recommend this manual settings??
🎉your Ninja V monitor would run out of power many hours before the camera since you say you have 12x camera power but only one small np-f battery on the Ninja. Doesn't make sense. A V-mount battery to power both Ninja and camera makes more sense.
I recently did one like this. th-cam.com/video/kxFU6ss99UA/w-d-xo.html Since this video I have used a Tilta left side grip. It get me through a day of shooting documentaries. No Ninja V for that.
Thank you so much Gary. It has now been a year since this question started to bug me.
My pleasure.
If you're going to be on a tripod or only moving in an area of a couple feet then just get a dummy battery and be done with it. Plug it in and have infinite power.
Great videos.... love from India ❤. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. Glad they help. Love from UK.
Thank you! 😍
You're welcome 😊
Trying to understand why you don’t have 1000s of followers?! Appreciate the specific insight of your vids and highly legible content 👍👏 Quick question: is there a solution to power Ninja V + R5 via the same USBC/Battery Bank? Thanks much, trying to streamline my kit, and no doubt the canons chew thru batteries esp when shooting C-LOG3.
That would be nice and than k you for the compliment. I think I need to make more videos, including one about this great question you have asked. You’ll be please to know I tested this with two v lock batteries I have that have D-tap for the Ninja V and USB-C for the R5. Both of these batteries are great and have displays showing battery capacity. The Moman 99 Pro shows how much left is time. The great thing about the R5 is when the camera is off the internal batter will charge from these external batteries. The Moman 99 Pro is amzn.to/3OmM2Xl The FXLion Nano One is amzn.to/459zoCh, there are higher capacity Nano Two and Nano Three. You’ll need a D-tap cable if you haven’t got one for connect the Ninja V, this one has a locking barrel, amzn.to/3DLeEod If you like the v lock option, and it powers so many things you might just need some rails from Smallrig or someone like that. I used this to clamp on to tripod, amzn.to/45xKXmz These are all on the Amazon UK site but might take you to Amazon in your country if you have it. You can always shop elsewhere, this is where I got them. But these links are a starting point. I don’t think C-Log 3 itself uses more battery power or much more but raw certainly will. By the way, I use these batteries for my Rotolights too. They are so versatile. And I believe will also power a MacBook or at least charge it and apparently they are flight safe if you take as carry on luggage. Hope that helps and thanks for a great question and your support.
Because you asked. Powering Atomos Ninja V and EOS R5 at the same time from a V lock battery th-cam.com/video/kxFU6ss99UA/w-d-xo.html
I have the anker power core 20100 and it doesnt seem to be working. From what i have read, the r5c needs a usb delivery of 9v min. The power bank you show only outputs about 5v though. I wonder why yours works and mine doesnt
The one I have actually shows different voltages including 9v, I can't send an image in the reply to show you. I did double check with the R5 C and it is working.
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!
I’m making Amazon rich with all my mistakes. I bought a pair of PD chargers only to discover too late they were 20w. NowI have to try again with 60w and better cables.
Oh no. Which camera do you have? I recently got a Tilta cage and a grip that attaches to it that has PD. If you're interested I'll find the links.
Which model USB cable you recomment to connect the PawerBank to Camera R6
Great video, thank you! Just again was wanting to ensure the 3A output so that it works with my R5. Was tempted to do a longer timelapse and while I could swap LP-E6N and other batteries, I figure this would help out (and could also serve as emergency power I suppose if away on a trip for some time).
Glad I could help!
Thanks very much for this clear and highly informative video.I've just ordered a power bank of my own to test this setup with my EOS R5. A key point worth emphasizing is that the USB-C PD needs to support at least 9V/3A and 5V/3A (in my case, from a 45W power bank). I also use a (SmallRig) camera cage but I'm planning to hang the power bank from a hook on the tripod to enhance stability. BTW, it's important to use a good USB-C to USB-C cable that supports Power Delivery (like the one supplied with the R5). I picked up a rather expensive Thunderbolt 4 cable which also supports very high speed data transfers (limited to 10 Gbps (USB 3.1 Gen 2) for the R5). FYI, the Vivitar Creator Series HDMI to USB Video Capture Card is a low cost HDMI capture device which accepts up to UHD resolution and outputs 1080p over USB. I was even able to record to an Android device with an app called “USB Camera (Standard)”.
True. Also important to ensure that the USB cable is supported at the camera, as the camera 's USB port can be subject to stress (and possible damage) otherwise...
Very helpful.
Thanks a lot Bro 👍
Great video, you mentioned in a reply that you use it with your C200. What setting parameters are you using to get the lowest noise floor on the C200? I’m getting great results with a little noise reduction in post (Admittedly easy to process as it’s little very background noise) I’m just curious if it can be further improved. Thanks
Thank you. That is a really good question. I have not tried it yet on the C200 as been using the R5 a lot more. But I will try it out. My guess is the default setting is going to work.
@@EssentialVideoSkills been feeding “0” out of the GO ii into line level input on C200 using the XLR - 3.5mm rode adapter with gain set very low around 2-3 on the C200 with good results. For the R5 I used -8 out of the GO ii and gain 5 click from zero with equally good results but the preamp is cleaner on the C200 the noise floor is definitely lower
Thanks for that. I will do that. Yes, the preamp is so much better. I'd love to try the Tascam audio adaptor on something like the R5C or R6 mark II. It make use of the multi connector hot shoe. I'm assuming it does the job of the preamp. But that is going to have to wait for now.
Thanks for sharing this 👏
Can we remove everything at once?
Just remove the LUT on one clip, copy his lumetri color and then paste it on all other clips.
No Canon video cameras. I guess I just leave it with the default?
If you mean camcorders and their cinema cameras then I would guess so. Those cameras have better preamps built-in so not as much of a problem. I use the default with my Canon EOS C200 but worth checking on your camera.
So awesome!
Thanks for this information. I decided to give it a try. Can you provide the name or link to the cheese plate and cold shoe your using?
No problem. Glad it was helpful. This is the cheese plate amzn.to/3PUlrkA and this is the cold shoe amzn.to/3WNKFDl
Thanks, I noticed one of the below responses was asking about not being able to ship from the UK. One just needs to copy the name of the items to purchase and search on the U.S. Amazon site. Best, GB
Thanks for the tip.
