Anyone else think it’s weird, that they had Nick with the High Hide, rather than Eddie?

I noticed the turret as soon as rhe video started!! I had the Dragonfly and YES this version was like the pic on the box art and even then thats what I wanted and I always felt cheated by the one piece version...I thought it was a prototype and never knew this really existed!

Me and My brother had this (as he gave it to me-got busted at some point) now have a tan version of it from 2001

yeah this struck home to me. I used to be super into collecting star wars, legos, you name it. then disney bought the franchise and I was kinda done. I looked at my need for gas money and decided to part ways with like half or more of my stuff. like you said, I do wish I'd kept like 1 or 3 things, but on the whole its been fine. Shockingly, I don't miss the majority of what I sold so what's that say? It means we really don't need any of this. Memorabilia is for remembering, its in the name. Like you said, if you don't really like a movie why do you want something that reminds you of it? Kinda defeats the purpose. So I agree 100% with everything you said. That was chilling though, "or will you let life pass you by". That will stick with me forever, thank you. Amazing video man. <3

Fun fact the Dino eye is from the lost world Jurassic ps1 game and if played it you can see on the top right that theirs an eye in the game 😅

Not for unknown reasons. The pivoting mechanism was removed to allow the figures feet to go into the hollow area of the gun, created by removing the tilt feature. This allowed taller figures (such as Wild Bill) to fit into the front seat with the canopy closed.

They should bring these chaos effect toys back into the market. I’m starting to appreciate them.

After all these years I've never realized that the first Nick figure had an entirely different face. I thought the cap was the only difference. I have the second version, so it's funny seeing the original release.

Personally, for me, the cool things about this set are the dinosaur colors and Malcolm's "Tranq" rifle. The Weapon, I think are an improvement upon the Grant set, but I agree, that it seems like something is missing from this set. Not to mention, why didn't Ian come with a Baby Gallimimus, like he did in Kenner's JP Series II? Unfortunately, that also means we missed out on some JPIII baby Pteranodons with the Grant Set, but the Raptor could match up with the Novel's Baby Raptor, Clarence, that Lex named. I understand the "Glider" wings were a nod to The Lost World Ian set, but then including Eddie Carr's Baby Trike, was rather odd. I like the Baby Trike, but, I would have preferred we not get another Ian Malcolm figure, and have a sleeveless shift Ellie Sattler, instead. I also, have never liked that boring paint scheme from Eddie's Trike, but even Ellie Sattler's was kind of bland too. Now, T-Rex Turner's Baby Trike was a color scheme I would have liked to have seen in this set. I agree, that a frill is needed for the Spitter. And yes, I was surprised at just how small the dinosaur was, in hand. I was hoping for a wee bit bigger one that would be on par with the Gallimimus. Since, the inclusion of the Dilophosaur seems to be based on the Kenner Trading Card where one is biting and pulling on Ian's shirt while he's trying to run away. That said, I love that it has the cool JPIII Spitter coloration, so maybe that was an odd hint to a Non-Kenner paint scheme, but I liked how this beautiful, but deadly, addition to Jurassic Park came out, particularly without an annoying non-removable, hinged frill, this time around. All in all, I got a few of the Ian Sets, but I straight-up army built the Grant sets. The Gallimimus colors are just so much more fun and if you paint some red stripes on the Baby Raptor, you'll get The Lost World Novel color scheme going on. Keep up the good work, man! 👊😎🍻

Good review and I agree that the push button that the Legacy version had, is sorely missed and needed. I would have much rather had a sticker on the foot, then the removal of a good action feature. Now, the second weapon with the pincers, isn't quite needed, I agree. However, I think that "launcher" design looks to be based off of the LAW Missile Launcher from the Novel. With that said, I would have liked the Grappling hook gimmick to be swappable with the LAW Launcher design, and then have a friction based "Tranq" missile to swap with. Obviously, I'd prefer a spring mechanism, but for both cost and safety reasons, those are rarely used on toys nowadays. What I think would have been cool for the Baby Raptor, is, if the secondary launcher was not included, then a put together mini-cage like Tim Murphy had in the Kenner JP Line, would have been awesome! Also, I just subscribed to your channel as so keep up the good work. 👊😎🍻

Is there a way to remove the push in plastic connectors safely? I found one in a barn (literally) that has nice looking decals, but also a couple decades of barn dirt

Chaos Effect is so underrated

A very neat, but also forgettable vehicle from the toylines. Only vehicles being even more forgettable have to be the Chaos Effect ones. This one in particular features probably one of the most screen accurate represantations of a charachter as an action figure. Having the shorts and a fairly good looking vest and shirt. Unfortunately don't have the bike, except for the handcuffs that I got in a lot. How much did it cost you?
