Linkin Park has gone on record to say before that this is not a replacement. There isn’t anyone who could replace Chester, Emily is definitely a great singer. I feel as if this is similar to Adam Grontier and Matt Walsh of Three Days Grace where alot of fans dislike Matt because “it will never be the same without Adam”. I enjoyed The Emptiness Machine honestly and listening to live concerts, Emily has a great voice. The problem is that no-one could sing the same as Chester. Not to discredit her, it’s just an impossible role to try and fill that void. I think she’s doing the best she can and I respect it

It also represents Woman Power (Equality), which is an important theme with the Maids. Now they show up as Maids for all band business and interviews, etc. and have created a long-lasting, unmistakable, visual band brand. Very cleaver, Miku. Your diabolical plan for world domination is working, Po! Of course, none of this would work if their music and stage performance wasn't at such a remarkably high level. Band-Maid is considered by many of their fans and Maidiacs to be the best hard rock band in the world - maid outfits and all!

This song has mixed reviews like many songs they released since 2019. I absolutely love this song, it has something fresh and unique. But many people say it sounds kind of same to their other anime songs. I loved this song instantly because it is "different" but hey, you can't please everyone. It has ethnic spices sprinkled throughout, especially the vocal melody, the vocal run, the gang assault, the traditional instrument can be heard after the first chorus. 😍😍😍

This song has just debuted as the ending theme of Grendizer U a TV Anime , hence the lyrics. As someone else has pointed out this Anime is very popular in France and Miku is a clever Pigeon and never misses a trick.

Be warned they will come for your soul with plenty of Solo work from Misa (bass), Kanami (lead), fills and solos from Akane (Drums) and they are all killer. Formed in 2013 by Miku (rhythm) who used to work in a Maid café’, the Maids first gained international notice in April 2015 when the Facebook page of internet radio station Jrock Radio promoted the music video for "Thrill" and it went viral. Some of my favourite tracks are Play, Domination, Don’t You Tell Me, Dice, Freedom, (Onset, From now on, Without Holding Back, all instrumentals) Thrill !!!!!, Hate and Bestie. Any Maids track always ROCKS and they have an extensive back catalogue (130+ tracks). They are all so different with a mix of genres and are all great tracks. The 5 Band-Maid members are: SAIKI Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals and melodies. MIKU Kobato (Me-Ku), "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals and lyricist. She is the Band founder. She was originally going to sing vocals but stepped back for Saiki and learnt guitar instead, she couldn’t play when she formed the band and was mainly tutored by Kanami. She has the energy of an average nuclear power station mixed with weapons grade cuteness? A comedian onstage - literally! She is the heart and soul of the band. KANAMI Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar and keyboards. Kanami plays a PRS; the birds on the fret board are a tribute to Paul Reed Smith's mum who was an avid birdwatcher. AKANE Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, keyboard and trombone LOL. MISA (Me-Sa), "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass. Misa usually plays a Black Cloud 5 string bass aka “Black Smoker”. Their Battle Gear as they call it with slight variations are French maid outfits for Akane, Miku and Kanami, MISA ditched the French maid outfit early on and started to wear a Chinese inspired maid outfit - in black of course. It's partly how MISA got her nickname 'The Barefoot Assassin', she always plays barefoot, and Miku joked her outfit was an “Assassin maid”. Saiki's outfit is more Spanish inspired and more fitting for the Queen of Maids. The great thing is they always look so happy with great interactions between band members and with their fans (that they call “Masters” and “Princesses” with concerts called “Servings”).
