As I was watching this, I was thinking what I would add to it. For me, it would have to be This is England. It starts out baing quite funny in parts, but when Combo shows up it takes a real turn.

This movie was tailored towards couples that need something to do on Valentine’s Day. A romantic comedy mixed with a cheesy slasher sounds perfect to me for the occasion

Mother! is THE anxiety movie for me. I need to revisit cause it's been years but it was one of the most intense horror experiences. Also I recently watched I saw the devil and I was on the edge of my seat for two hours, even if that movie is more than simply anxiety inducing

I hope you see this! But I'm curious if you've ever seen "Escape from Tomorrow"? It's not really much of a horror movie. But I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on that movie! It's one of my favorite movies.

The TWO movies that utterly traumatised me were "Super Dark Times" & "Deadgirl." I want to say; 'Watch them!!' But don't. I will never forget them. Ever. I grew up with Horrors, but those two were so soul crushingly terrifying. "Come and See" was NOTHING compared to how disturbing they were.

The Green Inferno would be in my list!

Hope (2013) a Korean film about the assault of an 8-year old girl. I balled my eyes out for two hours. NEVER watching again!

Mean creek was terrible for me

Come and See is probably the most compelling more movie that exists. Most war movies are through the soldier's perspective and depict them as heroes who liberated camps and towns. WWII movies often forget that soldiers could be awful people, and committed horrible crimes against innocent villagers. The scene where they pulled that young girl into the back of the caravan and assaulted her literally made me so sick to my stomach I almost threw up. It was so real, so visceral and triggering. It almost looks like real war footage.

This one I needed a second opinion on before watching it during the limited free time I have on the weekend

That is definitely disappointing because this was one of the first big movies of the year people were anticipating the mask is definitely unique but I'm not a chick flick person I'm a hardcore horror fan since the 80's I wish Eli Roth had been involved with this I'm pretty sure it would have been a lot better my favorite of all time is My Bloody Valentine but I'm a fan of Valentine the look of the killer is awesome in that one with the cupid mask and him bleeding out of his nose was a great touch the kills in that one are way better than this one even though I haven't seen it yet I will wait until it hits streaming platforms the My Bloody Valentine remake was a mess with the story but the kills were good and Tom Atkins was in it so you can't go wrong with that it doesn't make sense to remake that one again

Tetsuo, 964 Pinocchio, and Audition are some of my fav Asian horror disturbing enough to stick with you, if you haven't seen them.

Agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of Wolf Creek. I caught it when it dropped on Tubi. Definitely worth a watch, especially for anyone who's a fan of the movies - or was completely traumatized by them. Same thing, right? ;)

Good time is a great moie

When you were talking about how few V-day movies there are, it made me think of April Fool’s Day from the late 80’s, I think. To the best of my knowledge, it’s the only horror/slasher film that takes place on that “holiday”. I remember seeing it but I can’t recall any specifics, as it’s been 30+ years. Just thought I’d mention it 😎

Requiem for a Dream

Good Time definitely got my hear racing. However, the dialogue exchange at the end, just made me really angry.

For anxiety inducing, the Indian film "Pihu" got me right in the heart. A very understandable watch for US folks, I won't say an "easy watch," as nothing about this movie is easy. A 2 year old girl is trapped at home with the body of her deceased mother. What happens to her is heart stopping. Another 2017 pick! Hugs

Work got cancelled today and haven’t heard of First Reformed so I guess I’ll check it out. I’ve lived in Detroit for all 27 years of my life so I’m surprised a film called Detroit has flown under my radar so might as well check out that one too.

Terrifier 3 was such a fun movie, i cant wait for the next one, the amount they managed to do with such a small budget is admirable

Watching this because I hate it when I see someone say that A Serbian Film is sooo disturbing. It sucked, imo. So, I am here hoping to hear of something that is really disturbing. I will say that I do not tolerate animal abuse of any form. That's not a question of it being disturbing. It's simply morally intolerable and is the one thing that will make me immediately shut a movie down and deem it nonexistent.

My two cents about one of your picks: The Coffee Table, I agree, has an impactful situation, definitely causes anxiety, but the film making is poor. It feels like a mediocre senior thesis film.
