I am excited about The Poohniverse. I am old enough to have these story’s in my childhood and think this idea is a great take on them. I loved a Bambi Easter egg in blood and honey 2. There was a newspaper headline that said “rabid deer kills multiple people”. Just go into them in the right mindset of what you are about to see and have a good time! And as always support these independent filmmakers.
My uncle Dominic worked for Nickelodeon on Dora for a while but ended up doing a lot of the story boards for Catdog. It was such a unique concept that he had a ton of fun with the concept. He would have loved a horror movie version!

I like scotts energy as filmmaker. As a filmmaker I respect his professionalism. I’ve worked with people in film school and let me tell you people can be difficult. Not the actors they are much more corruptive and understand the assignment. While my crew really don’t understand and trust my judgment. And in turn refuse to listen. It’s very frustrating and I have to take on the responsibility of the crew and actors but when everyone is just telling me that this doesn’t make sense and are you sure. I’m like yes yes just listen to me. But us being film students we can be very pretentious and self absorbed. But I would really like to work with this guy when I’m done college in another year
Not sure what you meant by self awareness? In general, these kinds of films usually aren't for me. I kind of like the supernatural, although it depends on how it's done. A lot of it has become so loaded with tropes that it becomes boring too. That's why directors like Oz Perkins and Ari Astor have been so interesting to me in the past decade or so. They can really blend genres and keep it interesting. All that said, this genuinely sounds interesting. Just from the brief shots you were able to show, i could tell that actor is going to kill it (so to speak) with this character. And i LOVE that they're making it like a killer's origin story. Seems there's an addition of a psychological element that makes so many serial killer stories interesting. I can also see (just from the brief shots you showed) that there may be a little dark slapstick, but not too much. I mean, it's hard to tell, but i love the actor's makeup and the performance looks menacing, so I'm definitely intrigued. I will definitely be checking this out one way or another...not sure i can make it to a theater since it's such a limited run, but we'll see. Thanks for the sneak preview!
I like Cat-Dog song in which the title character emerges into this crazy world; " with a woof and a purr." I'm sorry that you can't make a horror version of "Cat-Dog." Maybe you can strike a bargain with Nickolodom.
Peter pans makeup reminds me of the Crow. His burn marks and speech reminds me of Heath ledger joker. Muderer mask felt unneaded, like it would have been funny but also different if he wore a Peter Pan mask from the 60s. The kills were brutal, but it would have been better to see the kidnapped kids in animal skin like outfits. Also wish that the main kid wasn't hook but instead a normal kid, and hook be a regular adult that originally fought him around the same age as the cartoon version, when he truly started and gave him his iconic hand. Plus seeing Peter kidnapping the darling children & trying to make Wendy fall in love with him, only to burn his face; would have been a better movie than this in my opinion. This would have been movie 2.
Funny enough, Scott made a film called Bad Nun But it’s not a Conjuring Knockoff. It’s almost entirely different in terms of tone and delves into some dark subject matter. Mainly the abuse of children from the Catholic Church. It’s low budget and cheap but I dig it Sequel is good too
What I don’t understand is instead of actually making a good remake or story telling of these movies, they always just make a horror movie. Like why not make a just regular retelling of Popeye instead of a horror movie. Some studio could make a 60 million dollar retelling of popeye and it could make maybe 200 million worldwide.
I am excited for this one. I really like the more messed up serious horror. The actor for Peter Pan looks so bad azz! I love his voice. VERYY unsettling. I heard it kinda rips off Black Phone but if it takes inspiration from the aspects of it that I liked I am okay with that. Scott is such a cutie. ☺ You can tell how passionate he is about this film. 🫶
I believe Bambie was supposed to come out first, but that film is much heavier on visual effects and I think they wanted to let it cook for a bit longer so they can get them looking as best as they can afford.
There's a short horror movie based on it hopefully it can get made into a horror feature film and it could be interesting could be Fiona Shrek center horror movie based on the short film that would make a lot of money
This definitely sounds interesting and scary..As some said in the other comments definitely Black Phone vibes. However, incredibly more extreme in the Gore and psychological messed up points. Also I'm not sure I see the children fighting back against the villains and winning. But I guess we will have to see...

Can you at least tell us if we can expect that Peter Pan turns the children into zombies or some kind of undead like creatures so that they "never grow up" like we've be hearing about in news for the movie as well as the "Poohniverse: Monster Assemble" movie art seems to allude to with Wendy crawling out of her grave? You don't need to give huge spoilers. Just is that a concept the movie presents or no? The suspense is killing me and I can't take it anymore and I'm going to be pissed off and cry myself to sleep forever if that doesn't happen! I was so stoked about that!
I wouldn't say Zombies. I can tell you that this element is hinted at with one specific character. I can't say who or when. But they are definitely not a regular person by the time we see them. If this is an idea they plan on using, it will be later down the road. This film, is very much focused on Setting up Peter pan and what he has the potential to become.

I actually like this ridiculous universe. Slightly goofy but not self aware b humor. It could use a slight self-awareness when it comes to tone but don't be intentionally funny and look at camera. Smile 2, terrfier 3 and cuckoo have funny moments but they all treat their subject/horror seriously to various degrees. Blood and honey 2 should have been slightly less mean spirited and slightly more fun. Peter Pan could be great. Poohniberse sounds so stupid but kind of works in a weird way. I hope they can do what Charlie band did in the 80's and 90's with puppetmaster, demonic toys, etc. Blood and honey 2 was better than 90/ of Charlie's movie so i have some hope.

Just got back from a screening on Jan 13th and I definitely do wish I had known this wasn’t going for the same slasher approach as B&H 1/2.
I heard Neverland nightmare takes place between both blood and honey 1 and 2.
So I'm definitely stupid excited to go see this now!

The Mouse Trap was boring AF and I was glad when it was over. Winnie The Pooh were pretty good
