I don't even really teach this to my students due to the lockup risk if executed incorrectly. But potentially as the attacker you could just do first strike and if they block with the shield you could step to the side of the opponents shield, lock their shield with the edge of yours while sliding your sword below their shield and strike the shield hands shoulder
