I had a guy ask me if I could take a motor that was beside his shop and I said yes turns out to be a 454 big block from the fan back to the tail shaft of a 400 automatic transmission and oil Pan up to the carburetor air cleaner All complete. Can you say money money money. At that time I was getting 375 dollars for a 454 and 50 dollars for the 400 transmission.

Have a similar dilemma 1990 k1500 5.7 swapped in drivetrain from 1989 suburban swapped tcase from k1500 It ran then I lost fuel and spark got it running again now it won’t do either can hear fuel pump prime tested injectors with a little d battery they spray great Tested coil and ignition control module did the wet find trick and nothing so I’m going to pick another icm up and try it again keep in mine I cycled out spare coils and Icms I had around the shop that worked also have a new ground cable from batter to engine with the pig tail to fender

My brothers 84 dodge d150 sound awsome. I got a sound clip on my channel but i had a xpipe from a Corvette ZR1 laying around our shop so we put it on the dodge. i dont know what we might do with it now a nascar boom tube or dual 3in chrome tips out the Passenger side

The exhaust sounds freaking killer, well done man. However, you lost me at the end when you said "should I do a short bed conversion". To that, I say HELL NO. Long bed trucks are rarer than short beds now because of resto modders cutting up and ruining classic long beds. You dont know what you have there man those long beds are work horses and in my opinion, the longer bed actually looks nicer and short beds always look cartooney. I mean, you COULD do a frame swap, its just taking everything off that truck and putting it on a new frame with a new short bed, easier said than done, but that way you dont have to cut her to pieces. I mean you do you bro you made a sick exhaust but personally I couldnt bring myself to turn a long bed into a short bed especially since the long beds are actually starting become more valuable than the other.

😂😂 i have a crx mini me d15b2 and p08-3 head no VTEC crap or turbo crap d15b2 distributor 0dbo emc original 272 Delta cam regrind and 32/36 Weber carb 10 flywheel and gd clutch kit header 2 in free flow exhaust system with a cherrybum she sounds amazing like a old Ford muscle car and fast for what it is around 10.5 compression with some old school style knowledge and her look and sound make people always ask if she have a v8 engine i build her my own self from junkyards parts and she is gd on gas and easy to maintenance nothing fancy old school style CCR born in the byouooooo 😊 amigo
