Front: 25 laps used 120/70/17 Pirelli SC1, 2.30 bar hot
Rear: 12 laps used 200/70/17 Dunlop "2" 1.40 bar hot
Lots of fun with this race, even with very wrong compound and used tyre for the given conditions managed to be in the battle for the win...
Managed to finish the race in P2 after being passed into the last left corner slide when I wanted to cut back into the inside...

Nothing much, just one onboard, reasonably fast lap with my BMW S1000RR HP4 from 22.09.2024 - just to see me still kicking and not being absent :) Stock BMW S1000RR HP4 2013, gearing 15/42 - speed shows to small speed (in end of straight we should get somewhere between 285-290 kmh) due to ECU not knowing the correct rear wheel dimension. My first ever sub 1.30 lap on Grobnik circuit, taken on a 3 lap run with fresh new Pirelli SC1 (front and rear) tires, to get the feel for the race... You did a awesome job riding and defending your position right up to the end well done 👏. On another note is it just me or is your rear sprocket 1 tooth to big on the rear for that circuit ? .
thanx, yeah, I have nothing to complain in the end...it was a propper race to close the season with. Well..you have noticed that correctly - is 1 tooth incorrect, but on the other way..is 1 too small, should have been one bigger in the rear for the engine to reach just to rpm limiter on the straight.

Hello, just a regular question to settle an extreme debate between friends: did your tyre slip on the last left corner before the straight? (The time of the lap is around 1:19 and the speed around 123 km\h)
Hey! Yeah, it did slip a little, but as little as it gets, but still enough to send me little wider than usual :-)

What will the lap time be if you use big brand’s slick tire?
Hard to say or guess this, but I would like to believe a 3 or atleast 2s would be easily gained, easily...considering I did 1.57.4 in 2010 with completely stock s1000rr (lights, fairings, exhaust), but at that time, I was in better conditional state as I am now :-) i hope I will try this year to go with some propper slicks.... In the end...these tyres are not slick competition....but are way better as for what they were made/developed for in the first place!!!
@@RRider84 i also used the RS this year on pannonia, havent tried slicks yet but the price difference alone is a big plus

Is actually worse...at the weather conditions and tempetatures given, 2.0 bar hot did behave best of all....1.6 bar was simply too "gummy"....

You cant say its inreliable this one...it had 35k of racing kms and no issue, and working flawlessly before totaling it on the track last ydar...even this one specificaly problem was user related error nothing else. :)
I remember my 1st track day, it was banged into me to ride to MY skill level not to try to keep up with someone else’s.

Pozdrav Jure! Inače vozim motocikl koji je kompromis za moje dvije potrebe. Putovanje udvoje natovaren s koferima. Sportska vožnja solo, s ekipom na sportskim motociklima po zavojitim cestama 30% km radim natovaren sa suprugom i koferima, 70% km vozim solo, raspremljen motocikl, bez kofera, po prijevojima i kanjonima, koristeći maksimalne uglove nagiba, kasna kočenja i ubrzavanja iz zavoja. Do sad sam sam vozio na Sport force +. Zadnja guma mi traje cca 4000 km, a prednja cca 8000 km. Sad 2. maja montirat ću po prvi put Sport force + EV. Idem sa suprugom na more u Dalmaciju, i namjeravam voziti se po ,,Jadranki" solo i bez kofera. Vozim BMW R1200RS '15. 125hp, 125Nm, 240kg. Imam 70 kg gol. Supruga vaga 60 kg gola. Molim te za mišljenje i preporuku. -Koji pritisak u sport force + EV bi mi preoručio kad vozim sam, sportski, -Koji pritisak kad smo oboje na motoru sa prtljagom. * *I sa suprugom vozim prilično brzo s dubokim nagibima, ali naravno fiksno na motoru i bez knee draga. Zdravo! EV bice prava izbira prema tome sto ste napisali. EV, bistveno bolja je nego normalna, i daje puno bolji feedback nego normalna. Oko pritiska...puno zavisi i od preferencije vozaca....inace spredaj sve izmedu 2.2-2.4 bar bice dobro, isto i od pozadaj. Kad bude jako vruce (35+) mozete ih i pustazi do 2.0 bar za brze solo voznje, ali tada radi guma samo kad je jako zagrijana...inace vise klizi dok nije zagrijana. Ali normalno isto negdje oko 2.4 bar bice sasvim dobro. Ali za voznju u dvoje....tezko dam kakav dobar info jer nisam vozio dosta u dvoje, tek kad i sam, nisam nisto dizao pritiska zbog toga...ali vec kao ste sami rekli...imate ze u startu dosta tezak motor pa je mozda stvsrno bolje staviti nekih 0.3 bar vise od pozadaj....malo se igrajte, ima nekoliko "margin" room za specifiku vozaca sta mu odgovara bolje.... Inace, bilo sta vozite ili bilo koji pritisak ili gume....sretno na cesti i ne zaboravite uzivati puno!!! I pamet u djesnu ruku! ✊✊✊

would using the rear brakes or turning off the engine help in this situation?
Depends on what you consider help I guess. The rear brake could slow him down a bit. But he would have still flown out of the turn. It was probably safer to ditch the bike and let it go and you slide on the asphalt safely. Although I don't know how feasible it would be to instead of ditching the bike, forcing a low side to slow down the bike and make sure it doesn't hit the outer track walls (which I don't know if it would/did happen)
As one already mentioned...it was safer (miles safer) to simply leave the moving train asap....It would help a bit for sure, but not even close enough to save anything...the nature of the track is old school with high cambered turns, hence the bike simply took a flight across whole gravel trap before hitting the barrier....and wherever I would turn I'd end in the barrier together with the bike. All the best!

It’s all about the inertia from the bike… after every other factor.
The s1000rr is a very problematic motorcycle. Even in 2024, the M1000rr are having multiple issues already! $40-$50,000 for this? No thanks.

What actually caused the failure? That shouldn't happen to a bike sold so often...
Is not.manufacturer to be blamed here...lack of proper racing maintenance specialy regarding to brakes and brake lines, elbows etc....in short it is that. Aluminium elbow that comes to the master cylinder broke off hence zero brake pressure....could have been avoided if would change it after few hard crashes in the past...at inspection everything was OK, but you cant see micro cracks etc...and simply at some point it brakes....lesson learned here...but the hard, expensive way. Luckily I was 100% unharmed, nothing.
The fact you had the mental capacity to abandon ship is crazy, the last thing we wanna do is crash and experience that pain and motion, props to you man glad you had the balls to ditch at those speeds.
Yeah, well, I had one small anomaly feel on the handlebars that time on the straight before the jump, and it made me realise immeditelly that it had to do something with the brakes. Of not for that anomaly, I would probably try to squeeze one more time the lever but would be too late to leave the train at that time as the bike litelary flew over the gravel traps (banked corners)...so in the end...still lucky not to get harmed whatsoever (only in my vallet)...if i had a spare bike I would have ridden it 15 mins later. 😂 Cheers
I'm gonna use these EV sport force tires on my old hayabusa, im not that a good rider but i have anxiety if they cannot handle the weight of the busa. Any experience ?
Hey there, is not problem at all..these SF range tires (normal, EV and RS) been used also on heavier bikes (BMW 1600GT), no problem only bit faster usage due to heavy weight...you are totaly safe to go with them otherwise.

Hey there, thanx, was cool to ride with this guy indeed, better than being alone 🙈 The other S1000RR is 2020 model and is by my info very very highly modified and miles from being standard.... :-) but mine did not go as fast as it should as well, I found out later after this race that one of my trumpets in the airbox has snaped of and was blocking the airflow into the throttle body as it was siting across...so I lost there 10-20 hps for sure...
He does that for a living and he's doing it quite ok :-) Must have been a privilege to share a track wth him a?

Zdravo, ce ze lahko izbiras, raje RS...je vseeno nekaj bolj pisti primerna guma...ce pa ze imas EV, pa tudi nic ne bo narobe....saj vidis, da se da. Sicer pa, karkoli bos ze gor dajal....pamet u roko, pa previdno in nic na silo...ne pozabi uzivat!!
