I bought my girls an explorer for Christmas. Needed a new torque converter and tires just small stuff. But the steering is ridiculously heavy in the thing. Seen a couple people say try adding washers. Any insight on this for a guy? Lol thanks

Is there anything that can be cut on your band saw setup shown here that I couldn't cut on either my 7.5" or 12" sliding miter saws with a high quality metal cutting blade?

Your a brave man buying a Bauer band saw. Everyone I know that bought one said I’t didn’t last a year. I personally bought the best saw on the market. Milwaukee.

I haven't seen any reviews that mention the cut capacity for this thing in a 45 and 60 degree angle. Do you have those measurements?

Got a question for you on the rear leaf springs , that cone looking thing that was under the original ones, do you use that in the new ones as well ?

Why no cutting oil?

I just bought one and set it up. It takes a bit of final adjusting the saw to get it in a square position, but this stand is impressive. The trigger mount stud can accept a nut on the end of the threads after it is installed which locks the trigger mount stud (for lack of actual name) solidly in place. This stand will fit the bill for sure and looks very well made.

Nice piece. Already have a converted wood band saw and cold chop saw. But I can see where this would come in handy away from home. Does it say it works with Milwaukee battery saw? Like the music.

You convince on the purchase of this stand. I look at a few videos on this product and no one has done a video on the vertical setup, good example of the capability cutting of plates.

I too am impressed, and I purchased a Hercules cordless band saw to go with the mount. Having trouble with the switch, that's why I am here. ;)

The Swag style vertical b/s makes total sense.. its a fairly safe way to freehand cut metal, so yeah, good. But this thing.. by the time you buy the saw and the attachment you’re well on the way to buying a decent used real bandsaw that’ll cut straight with nice/solid clamps, auto-off, 3/4”+ blade and a big ‘ol industrial motor. (And they seem quieter than the Bauer portabands)

I just got mine and I'm beyond disappointed. Yeah... it cuts metal, but I can't get it to make square cuts to save my life. I've adjusted it for hours. The blade "walks" as it goes down through the material.

I'm glad you were able to find one, I haven't found a store near me that has any, everyone i find is like 200+ miles away! Lol. Im thinking they're waiting for the grand entrance of the Hercules portable "battery" bandsaw before they restock these Hercules portable band saw stands. What happened with the F150?

This seems like a good place to ask this question. I’m changing the rear tire on a minibike. It’s a 9x3.5 - 4. Tiny thing. The rim is plastic and looks like a split rim. The issue is I can’t access the bolts to take the rim apart because the brake drum is in the way on one side and the sprocket is in the way on the other. The sprocket is mounted on the inside of the aluminum center section of the hub. That means it must come apart right? I’ve tried searching YT for videos of a tear down but it seems like the wheels I’ve got are not super common. Anybody have some advice?

You are the coolest dad I know (apart from mine of course) what you are teaching your son is so far beyond even my knowledge at 16 this kid has laid beads before u have even touched a welder and I am just getting into metal fab. My dad was always a but more of construction based projects so I took on the woodworking pretty quickly but I hope to learn to weld and learn a bit more about mechanics
