      @shadetreehotrods so, I have a 1uz out of a 97 sc and I'm looking at potentially putting it in my 91 ranger. I wanted to see how you mounted it in there, how the exhaust did or did not fit, what you had to modify, etc. Ac box was pulled it looks like which seems to be common with any ranger v8 swap. What about the steering shaft, steering gear box, exhaust, etc. How much did you modify vs how much was drop in?

      Thank you for replying so quickly

    • @shadetreehotrods
      @shadetreehotrods 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@whiterosemotors9026 yes, we did remove the ac box and had a piece of sheet metal that we were gonna rivet in to cover the holes in the firewall. For the exhaust it’s super tight specifically on the driver side. For this I snagged some super tight log style manifolds from and Aussie company, I can post the link if you want em. The steering shaft is gonna have to be modified to have an extra bend to make clearance. And the oil pan I ordered a rear sump pan from Kazakhstan. However I would recommend just finding a local fabricator to make one for you because they’ll also have to modify the oil pickup tube to reach the new sump. Once you do that you can set the engine damn near on the crossmember. If you run a solid mount like we had you can put it real close, but if you run a poly or rubber mount you’ll need to leave room for movement. You can find some universal 1UZ engine mounts that are pretty much what we made, just a square plate with holes drilled and runners going to a solid place in the bay

    I have the same bike and has replaced the rear sprocket to 41 teeth, Regina branded sprocket & chain. I can go almost 400km to a full tank of RON 95 fuel. My only gripe with this bike is that it's quite heavy & the rear shock is a bit soft even after adjustment. But nevertheless a very solid bike, & reliable too.

      I’ve been waiting on a front sprocket that got put on backorder after I bought it, supposed to be here in September. My speedometer from factory is around 10% higher than my true speed. With that 41 tooth reap sprocket it’s about a 2.93 gear ratio. Where does that put you rpm wise at highway speeds?

    • @Altruistic00
      @Altruistic00 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shadetreehotrods I'd be doing about 62mph at around 7000rpm on 6th gear. The fastest cruise speed I've been on the highway is around 130-140km/h since I do have a 45 litre Givi topbox on the back & a medium sixed aftermarket windscreen, coz I usually ride long distance. With the 41 tooth sprocket, the top speed is a bit dead but much less vibration & engine stress on the highway.

      I’ve been trying to find something but everything seems discontinued. My first though is go to your local pick and pull and snatch one out of a donor. Or if it’s something that can be replaced/rebuilt I’d try to find just those bits instead. Best of luck and thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the review, lots of good info! Does this bike have ABS? It's hard to tell from the video, it looks like it does not. Also do you know what size sprockets (front, rear) does it come standard with? I am seriously considering buying this bike, and I agree, changing the sprocket ratio is necessary if you want highway speeds at lower RPMs. BUT if at this price point it doesn't come with ABS brakes, that will be a deal-breaker for me. Cheers! 😉👍

    • @shadetreehotrods
      @shadetreehotrods ปีที่แล้ว

      It has an option for ABS as is indicated by the owners manual, but mine does not. As far as sprockets it has a 14 tooth front and a 44 too the rear for a final drive ratio of 3.14

    This is a parallel twin and not a v twin. It has a 360 degree crank. Benelli engineers do a great job in making their bikes sound good. My 302s is in neon green 🟢 . Just love the bike

  • @hexadecimal1517
    @hexadecimal1517 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's an inline twin at 360 degree crank, which gives it that smooth sound. I think they purposely geared it short so people who test ride it get to notice the sound more on city speeds, being its main selling point.
